Hello, my sister just informed me that during her 4-5 hour shifts she gets 1 15 minute break that is unpaid and has to clock out during it with all her other coworkers.

Is this not illegal?

Bought a Mac glossy lip liner but it had hardly any saturation. Tried the one I bought from Sephora about a year ago and it still has a lot of saturation. Granted, I bought Cool Spice at TJ but at Sephora I got Nightmoth. Two very different shades. But Cool Spice was so negligible. It hardly showed up at all. What’s up with TJ Maxx makeup products? Any idea?

I just started recently and i applied for front end and i keep getting put in back. Im currently taking muscle relaxers that wear off about 2/3 through my shift and I’m in hell the rest of it because the constant moving and twisting makes my muscles tighten. Im currently scheduled for backroom for two weeks and am dreading it. I talk to both managers and they say they cant do much and will try u me for front end after two weeks. Im just in a-lot of pain and know i will be for the two weeks. 😃

I was asked to learn the CO so that I can do it once a week on the day that our main CO associate is out. I got to train and watch the whole process one time and I just had my first time alone in the CO. I am primarily backroom and don’t have experience with counting cash. It was a stressful first day and I took over 4 hours.

I kept not trusting myself, and recounting cash/coins. I also was heavily relying on notes that I took from my 1 day of training.

To be honest, I really wish I got a pay increase to do CO. If I was paid more I think I would feel better about this, but I just felt like I was too slow and overcomplicating things.

Anyone else struggled with the cash office??! And also, has anyone ever told management they aren’t comfortable working in the CO?

The pressure they're putting on us to get cards is insane. They stand behind us, eavesdrop, criticize, loom, hover and haunt us. All while the queue is extending and there's not enough of us. I'm regretting my decision to come here.

I sent a customer support question / claim via the TJmaxx website, and have received a reply, and a follow-up saying my claim was being escalated to a specific department. It’s been over a week that they have escalated it, I followed up and received no reply.

Does anyone know if it would it be helpful for me to call the customer service phone number, or would it be a waste of time?

i’ve been a markdowns lead / floor associate. we had 2 people quit one in c/o and one in admin. I’m now mainly doing cash office, i’m there 4 out of my 5 days a week. is there a raise that comes with that?? one c/o employee said there is a raise and one said there isn’t.

I got a good job with TJX in store management. The pay is great. I've been working this job for about 2 months now but I absolutely hate it. I am so bored at work.

This company is an operational disaster. Its bad for the customers and the associates. 99% of my day is doing things that I know don't make sense. I'm standing around not doing shit because I'm not allowed to get on a register or help the team. I'm expected to process 15 pallets a day when we dont even have the shelf space for the items. I hate the fake ass professionalism and the meetings.

I think I might fit the DC alittle better. I like actually working and being efficient. How hard is it to go from store management to DC management? Anyone done it before? How is the DC compared to the store?

I have only been here 2 months. Is it going to take a long time before I can transfer?

Ok sooo there was this old lady today that was shopping and she had like many tissues with her and she always kept wiping her nose. I’m a CEC so I’m upfront watching her look at stuff and she’s like taking her tissue after tissue and doing her thing. Left 10 tissues used in her cart 🫪 and left without throwing them away. I recently posted about my mom refusing letting me have my own discount card, and she’s still adamant. Is there anyway for me to just deactivate the card altogether? I know it has my AIN that can’t be changed but is there anyway to just not have a discount? Because at my store they type in the AINS if u don’t have the card, but I want to make it so even if you have the card or AIN that the discount just doesn’t work. Thanks for any help

hi so all day the managers and coordinators are constantly reminding us that we need to get on the board with tjx and osats.

if someone does a survey right after they leave is the store notified asap? a coworker said they find out in a few days but then why will they be like- yay we got an osat.

also if the employee is named in the survey do they get recognition?

My orientation was on Friday, and the first day of working was on Saturday. Before leaving (on Saturday) went to the manager for some problems in Workjam and also asked about my schedule for the week. She looked and said that I don’t have any shifts, and I will be called if needed. Additionally, Ive seen that people have their Eligible for work hours shown in “Schedule” section, while I have nothing there, except the shift on Saturday.

I am starting to panic that I did something wrong, and that’s why I’m not getting any shifts. Counterargument that I think of is that the schedule for this week might have been already set, leaving no space for a new part-time hired retail associate.

Should I calm down or worry about this?

Hello! I’m 21F and I’ve been work at tjmaxx part time for about 3 weeks now. I got minimum trading for women’s and that’s all I’ve been working since. Tbh it’s not hard at all, but my schedule is now showing multiple different positions. Such as front end/cashier, markdown, men’s/kids, and dressing room. Should I expect I’ll just be trained on the day of ? I honestly thought I was just sticking with women’s

do we get holiday pay? i thought i saw that it's only for full time employees but i haven't had a chance to ask.

also im part time and getting scheduled 30 hrs a week. if full time is 36 then is it worth it? is the pay more or decent benefits?
