Steering still off angle after 3 Alignments
I have a 2026 Tiguan R-Line Turbo (SEL R-Line) and ever since I got the car, the steering wheel has been slightly off-center, about 5 degrees to the right, sometimes even more.
I’ve brought it to the dealership three times for wheel alignments, and every time they tell me everything is within specifications and give me the alignment report showing everything is good. Yet the steering wheel is still noticeably tilted to the right when driving straight.
I’m aware that roads have a slight slope (road crown) for water drainage, and that you sometimes need to compensate with the steering wheel. However, even on roads where I should technically be steering slightly to the left to compensate, my steering wheel is still pointing to the right.
To clarify, the vehicle doesn’t pull to either side. It drives straight, but the steering wheel itself isn’t centered when going straight. It’s not a huge angle, but once you notice it, it’s pretty annoying, especially on a brand-new vehicle. Its driving me CRAZY.
I’m considering trying a different VW dealership since I’ve already had three alignments done and they still can’t figure it out.
Has anyone else experienced this with their 2025/2026 Tiguan? If so, were you able to get it fixed, and what was the actual cause?
