Just picked up my 2026 Model Y Performance, and I've been dealing with a frustrating steering wheel vibration whenever I drive above 70 mph.

I've already taken it to Tesla Service twice, and they still haven't been able to fix the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this with the new Model Y Performance? If so, did you ever find a solution? Was it related to wheel balancing, tires, alignment, or something else?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who's dealt with this and actually managed to get it fixed!

They already tried doing wheel balance but it didn't fix the problem.

After the self-service test drive I just couldn't stop thinking on buying one. The upgrade from the car I am dailying is massive (Fiat Panda 2018, 90km (55miles) /day).

I tested both the MY and the M3 but the M3's trunk wasn't what I was looking for and I felt way too close to the ground. Also, I loved how the new MY looks.

Decided to go with the LRMY AWD Ultra Red/black interior since I am tired of seeing these white/grey/black car roads.

In Switzerland, there is currently an offer that will last until Dec 31st for the LRMY (leasing) : 0% APR, CHF 4'000 bonus and 3 years free charge on Superchargers (30k KM limit/year). Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten a new car.

For now, I think I may buy it when the lease ends (we have that option here).

Looking forward to driving it.

Edit 1: My GF who hates driving also loved it, so that is another reason. Insurance : CHF 1900/year.

Went to the supermarket, opened the trunk and heard a pop when the trunk closed again. It wouldnt open after that. Opened it manually at home and turns out the liftgate actuatior bolt completely snapped off 😮 see pictures.

Anyone else had this happen? Is it because of the hard suspension/tires of the MYP?

I can close the trunk fully, so on Monday I’m driving to the service center. I assume they can remove the remainder of the bolt and have to change the bolt only.

I built Glovebox for my Model 3, and it should work the same on a Model Y since it uses the standard TeslaCam drive, but I haven't been able to test one. If anyone wants to try it, I'd be grateful for a report.

My 2026 premium Model Y started doing this wiggle while on FSD. It keeps having small moments like it’s adjusting direction. It’s doing it on the highway and streets. It’s really noticeable on higher speeds. I cleaned the cameras and had the latest version of updates but it didn’t help, my car is less than 2k miles old . I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue

Has anyone used the Goodyear MaxLife 2 tires on their Juniper? Wondering how to compare to OEM Parelli Scorpions in sound dampening and ride comfort. Can anyone pls share their experience?

I am seriously considering the move from a 2024 RWD LR Model 3 to a new Y. The reason is room, plain and simple. I love my Highland to death but it seems like I am always trying to get something to fit in the trunk that won’t. It’s also camping season here and a Model Y will come in handy.

What I think I would miss is the low cowl/hoodline, the buttery smooth ride on the 18’s, and the overall sexy looks of the Highland.

What I think I would gain is fantastic practicality and comfort.

Has anyone else here made the transition? If so, how has it been?

Which trim would you recommend, and why? What are the pros and cons of owning one? How does it perform in winter, and how is the real-world driving range? I am in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada!
I’m also wondering when the best time of year to buy is. Are there usually better deals or incentives toward the end of the year, or is it better to buy whenever a good offer comes along?
If you could go back and buy your Model Y again, would you choose the same trim, or would you do anything differently?

I've been going through a few threads of everyone advising to go to the app and ask for a overall inspection of the vehicle, and they all say it costs $100-$800. I'm in Southern California, so I'm looking at $500 (I attempted a few locations and they all gave me the same estimate).

I currently hear a knock from the rear of my car when I come to a full stop, I'm guessing it's the links going bad. With that said, is it worth it to pay the $500 and get everything checked, or should I just take it in for the knock sound? Btw, if everything is checked (inspection) and anything further is found - they fix it under warranty right?

i’m having an issue with my front light bar on my Tesla Model Y 2026 for some reason. after I wash it, it gets condensation on the front of the light bar. Has anyone had this issue? I have over 30,000 miles, so I’m wondering if Tesla cover this with their warranty of their 50,000 miles.

Anyone else’s car trying to pull over w blinker on in random places and side of the road on self drive? It’s almost put me in a damn ditch, twice.

In latest 2026.38.5.1 and v14.3 Lite. I’ve noticed a few times over the last week or two, and I was on an earlier software as well for that, while in FSD with not much traffic around, the car will randomly put on its blinker, slow down, and pull over to the side of the road, as if an emergency vehicle was approaching from behind. In all of these cases, there was no emergency vehicle lights or sounds, or even any other traffic following closely behind or coming from in front in any dangerous way. Has anybody else noticed this?

Does anyone else have their windshield wipers randomly going off? I had the car serviced and inside windshield camera cleaned by Tesla service last week and it didn’t resolve it

I switched to an AWD from a RWD because of the October 1st “refresh”, but I can’t find anywhere what exactly the updates consist of. I can’t see that my front and rear motor is still the 3DU. Supposedly the V2 manifold isn’t available in the US. I was excited to get the AWD because I felt like I would get more for my money with the silent refresh. I also asked my sales agent and called the service center for any concrete answers, but no luck. Any advice or does anyone know of any confirmed 2027 AWD upgrades? Mahalo

Just purchased a CPO MY w/ HW4

First FSD drive home, mapped home which is normally 45 minutes.

Ended up taking 2 hours. FSD missed like every exit and finally just took over and drove home. Am i missing something? Had it on mad max but that’s the only thing I can think of that would make it miss exits. Please help!

I parked backwards at a spot that had two 3ft metal poles to my left front and back. After waiting in the car for two hours for someone, I pulled out and turned into one of the poles.

The left rear door has the most damage and some to the front. Also on the inside lower edge there is a dent.

My deductible is $1k. How much do you think the repair will cost?

I am on my first long road trip with my fairly new Juniper. I'm using FSD, and I bet I didn't miss a single f%&ing pothole in 400 miles. It is unbelievable!

Does anybody have any hints for avoiding them in FSD, or do you just have to drive it yourself?

I toggled the Halloween update on to try it out for my kids. Turned it off because it wasn’t for me. After doing that, the car turned to the deep blue color. I tried rebooting the screen, going into software and selecting the default color… which is apparently the deep blue. My Tesla is a 2026 juniper. Any ideas? I have a service ticket for something else so I will probably just have them figure out why the factory display shows the deep blue instead of marine blue at that point.
