My old account got locked for spam so I deleted it to make a new one and now I'm stuck in a loop to where I try to make a account and pay for the fee but I keep getting a you already own this item pop up everytime.

How do I fix that?

Hi everyone,

I recently switched to the native **Telegram for macOS** (the Swift / Mac App Store version) because it performs much better and doesn't freeze during heavy background tasks like the Qt-based Telegram Desktop sometimes does.

However, I'm really struggling with the lack of an **Interface Scale** setting.

* In **Telegram Desktop (Qt)**, there's a slider to scale the entire UI (125%, 150%, etc.), which scales everything proportionally—sidebar, chat list, buttons, and text.

* In the **native Mac App Store version**, there is only a "Text Size" slider in Appearance settings, which only changes the message bubbles, leaving the sidebar, chat list, and UI elements tiny.

Is there any workaround for this?

- A hidden flag in the Debug Menu?

- A `defaults write` terminal command?

- A macOS accessibility trick (without having to scale down my entire Mac's display resolution)?

Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Telegram refuses to send sms code to Google Voice, and refuses to send email verification to hotmail or yandex domains. No way I'm giving my carrier phone or regular gmail addresses...

Why do they need to be so invasive, and what's the alternative (besides saying screw them, I don't need it)?

Edit: They actually *did* send a verification code to Hotmail, just so I could try to use it and be told I can't use that email 🙄

Has anyone encountered this: when editing a message that's in an "article" format, after a couple of edits you can no longer change it and this banner pops up? What's the problem and how do you fix it?

I’m a free user so the setting to only allow known contacts to message me isn’t an option. I’m used to the idea of paying for premium features in Freemium services, but honestly, the number of pig butchering messages I get is getting ludicrous. One every couple of hours.

Devs: Either make the “known contacts only” open to everyone, get a handle on the spam, or I might find other messaging services. If I’m wearing my tinfoil hat I wonder if the Devs set up the bots themselves to get people to pay for the option.

Its been 9 days since i have this problem. Im trying to log into my account and it keeps sending the verification code to my app instead of SMS, i don't have any active session in my account and I don't know what to do at this point

It's the 3rd time this week that Telegram starts malfunctioning on iOS. I get notifications but the app is stuck in "Connecting..." and I can't reply nor do anything. This can last up to an entire day. Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

Issue:
Settings > Privacy and Security > Open Links in > Select desired browser

I had Duckduckgo browser setup here for ages, all links in telegram where opening in that browser.
Since last update, 13.1 , this browser is no longer listed.
I updated just now to 13.1.1 and issue is still present.

Please review and fix this issue.
Thank you

I tried using different wallets and no success too.

Hi,

I got some very important files that's stored in the cached storage in my android (some of the files are from deleted channels or accounts) ... Now I'm forced to erase the whole phone to download new software but I need to back this up ... can anyone help?

I don't trust this message I've just received. Is it some kind of malware?

I'm in a group chat and want to mute everything except direct notifications (i.e. someone @'ing me). This used to be very easy to do but I can't seem to find the option anymore. Any ideas how to do this? I'm using Android if that makes a difference.

Hello Telegram community,

I have a group chat with about 1000 people, I am the owner of that group. I have configured a Welcome message and I can see it but it's not being sent to new members.

I keep my app updated to the latest version and I've checked with some people that joined the group and they also have updated version. I'm using Android and desktop apps, if that matters.

This issue, is it just me having it? Is it a general occurrence?

Thank you.

how to disable this badge counter in grey in notification drawer?

Hi!

How are you? I'd like to ask if it's possible to recover my Telegram data when I re-register my number, because I deleted my account and want to come back, but I don't remember my contacts.

I contacted Telegram, but they haven't replied yet...

Is there a solution?

So I kindly ask:

1. If there is any possibility to restore my deleted owner account, please help me restore it.

2. If restoration is truly impossible, please at least transfer the ownership of the channel to my current admin account, so I can properly manage the channel and remove the deleted account.

1. How to type "?"? Very stupid question but for Russian Shift + "," and English Shift + 7 hotkey hint popup opens instead of "?" typed in chat resolved, question mark cannot be typed alone, what a same... WHO DECIDED IT? I want to type alone "?"
2. How to remove Thanos message deletion effect? Previously it was in Settings - Battery and Animations - Animations in chat. I need rest animations

why does telegram want me to pay another time but not even allow me to do so what do i do ?

Hello, after the new Telegram desktop update, videos are displayed transparently, which is very annoying and unwatchable.

On the desktop client for mac downloaded from the app store two way auto translation always worked. If I send a message in a language that's not english it translated it for me to english. Obviously same with messages I receive not in english. This is with premium.

This was always really helpful as I don't speak the language I message in, copy and pasting from google translate to talk with people. Now my messages are stuck in other languages so if I want to reread them I have to manually copy and paste each into a translator app.

Anyone else experiencing this? I've tried everything to fix

Am I missing something here, or am I just stupid? After the latest Telegram update, I literally can't type a question mark (?) anymore. Like, at all. Pressing Shift+? opens this hotkeys menu, and it happens with every keyboard layout, both English and my native language.

I'm sorry, but how the fuck am I supposed to type a question mark now? Did anyone even test this shit before releasing the update?

P.S. This was fixed in today's update, so this post is no longer relevant.
