Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy an Intel Core i7 or i9 (9th Gen) processor. If anyone has one sitting unused or is planning to sell one, please leave a comment or send me a DM.

It's for my personal homelab. I'm currently running an i3 9th Gen, which has been great for a few Docker containers, but I'm starting to outgrow it and would like to upgrade.

Looking for:

• Intel Core i7-9700 / 9700F / 9700K
• Intel Core i9-9900 / 9900F / 9900K

I'm located in Kathmandu.

Thank you!

So I am going to buy a gaming laptop and I've narrowed them down to two options

A) TUF Gaming F16 with RTX 5050 (115W TGP)

CPU: i5 14450HX

16GB ram and 512GB SSD

Price: 200k

B) LOQ 15 with RTX 5060 (100W TGP)

CPU: i7 13650HX

16GB ram and 512GB SSD

Price: 229k

I would request anyone who knows about laptops to tell me if this is a good deal considering the prices of laptops recently. And I also want to know if spending the extra 29k for the LOQ is a good option. I want to buy a laptop soon as the prices may increase further.

40 yr old techie here. Been working for over 15 years both in and out of the country. Currently earning close to 3L per month and Building a house for my parents (both in nepal). Just transitioned into a new job that looks like its going to be my last job. Its a 100M dollar company and Ive been hired to steer the department for the outgoing head during the transition. I've seen it all here in Nepal's IT landscape and feel like this is where I'll retire. Does this feel like a cop out or is this good enough?

I have 1 lakhs as savings. iam currently in bachelor 3rd year what can I do to grow that money.

I’ve been exploring the tech field for the past three years, and I’m currently in Grade 12. I’ve jumped from web development to app development, QA, UI/UX, and now graphic design. I do graphic design as a hobby, mainly for myself, so that if I start a business in the future, I can create my own designs.
I left web development, app development, QA, UI/UX, and other fields after exploring them in depth and learning the basics. For the past year, I’ve been exploring cybersecurity, and I genuinely feel like this is what I want to pursue.

I’ve read countless Reddit posts and watched tons of videos, but nobody really explains what it actually takes to get into cybersecurity. Everyone says, “Start with TryHackMe,” so I did. But eventually, I hit a paywall. I tried pwn.college too, but found the website difficult to navigate, and I think it’s associated with a university course.
People say to learn networking, so I completed Cisco’s networking basics course. I’ve also installed and experimented with Wireshark, Nmap, and Burp Suite. I’ve scanned networks, intercepted HTTP requests, and explored the traffic. But despite all this, I STILL FEEL SO LOST!

My ultimate career goal is to become a Cybersecurity Analyst. From what I’ve learned, I may need to start with an IT support or networking job and gradually work my way up. At the same time, I want to explore bug bounty hunting alongside my studies.

But everyone recommends something different. Whose advice should I follow? Where can I find a structured, step-by-step learning path and resources that is genuinely free?

I’m sure there are thousands of people in the same situation as me. We want to learn cybersecurity, but we’re overwhelmed by conflicting advice and don’t know where to start. We need guidance from people who actually work in cybersecurity, not just another list of tools to install.

I’m also thinking about creating a Discord server where cybersecurity professionals, industry experts, and people currently working in bug bounty hunting can guide beginners like us. It could also be a great place to connect, learn, and network with people in the industry.

But before we think about creating a Discord server, please help me figure out the learning path first. If enough people in the comments are interested in joining a community like this, we can consider building one together.

If you’re a cybersecurity professional, SOC analyst, penetration tester, or bug bounty hunter, please share your advice. I’d genuinely appreciate it, and I’m sure many others would too.

Backend developer ko lagi internship pauna ko lagi projects enough xa ki DSA pani garna parxa? Kasto projects banaune ho? ani kati?

My Controller Got Stick Drifted, Have to buy a new one, Can Someone Please Suggest a controller under 5k (Hall Effect Joysticks and Triggers are must, i don't require Macros or Turbo , having them also doesn't matter). and please no fantech suggestions. they are bad in terms of customer service

I'm a 2nd-year student with a mandatory college internship starting around mid-Jestha. Most of my focus so far has been on DSA and core CS concepts, but I used to do frontend coding before, so my logic and foundations are decent. I'm planning to lock in and learn Next.js starting now.
My goal is to secure a paid web dev internship in Kathmandu by then around 10k. For anyone working in the local tech scene, is this realistic within a ~7 month timeframe?

For extra background, I also have a research paper currently under review.

Hi everyone, I recently bought this laptop Acer nitro V15.

Whenever I play games, the hot air comes out of these exhaust vents and when I touch the screen near the vents it feels a little warm.

Will this affect my screen display in the long run?
