Pete is a literal manchild
What I find absolutely hilarious about Pete is the sheer embarrassment of a 6'4 grown man acting like a spoiled brat. On paper, he had a massive reach and weight advantage over a 5'10 Rick, yet he couldn't even defeat Rick while Rick was actively holding back just to let the town watch Pete ruin himself.
But the ultimate peak of his pathetic nature happens in the finale.
After Pete accidentally kills Reg, Abraham instantly tackles and pins Pete down. While effortlessly held by Abraham, Pete starts frantically shouting and blaming Rick for Reg’s death. To top off the absolute comedy of this scene, Pete starts flailing his legs because he is completely trapped and can't move an inch. With that final, pathetic display, Pete is reduced from an abusive bully to a whiny toddler throwing a tantrum—a literal manchild.
The reality is that Pete cannot defeat Rick, and he especially cannot defeat Abraham; he completely unravels when faced with someone who can truly fight back. For a guy who is 6'4, he had zero real combative ability and was completely weak-willed. The moment he wasn't fighting women or children, he was entirely powerless. He got pinned like a helpless child, throwing a lethal temper tantrum until Deanna finally gave the order to put him out of his misery.
What character deaths do you wish were different?
I know this question gets asked a lot, but I’m always interested in hearing new perspective:
What character deaths would you have changed? Any characters that should’ve lived longer/died earlier? Would you swap their death with someone else or change it all together?

Season 4 episode 9
IMO.... ONE of Carl's best scenes by far is in this episode when he grapples with possibly having to kill his father when he thinks he turned into a walker!!! What a beautiful and unjust scene!!!! They did Carl dirty killing him off of The Walking Dead!!!!!

A subtle touch…
A subtle touch the Governor could have added to make Rick feel he was much more powerful is if he had brought ice to put in the whiskey.

Rewatching in my late 30s hits different than watching in my early 20s. Anyone else experience this?
I was 18 years old when TWD premiered, fresh out of high school. Times were different then. I was a different person. But now rewatching as an adult and after COVID and being a healthcare professional, I have a different approach when watching the show and it’s a lot more scary for some reason. As a teen and adolescent I used to wish this would happen. I thought I’d be invincible and survive and be unstoppable. Now in my 30s with heart conditions and anxiety and back pain, oh man I’d be dead in the opening scene. I have zero survival skills. This show is so terrifying now that I grew common sense.
