Please SHOWER if you are taking the TTC.
Loaded up subway and I gotta be beside these 2 dudes that smell like absolute buttcheeks and BO.
Their clothes looked clean but they smelled so bad. I don’t understand why some ppl leave the house without showering and smelling good.
I understand if you are coming back from work or some manual labour job but these guys genuinely smelled like they haven’t showered in ages

Discussion Pet peeve- Streetcars that go "out of service" mid-route and force passengers off to take the next one at a random stop
I deleted a previous version of this because of a typo in the title.
I don't know if it's bad luck, but I have had this happen to me several times in recent weeks.
The worst instance was on a Dundas streetcar that kicked everyone off around Bathurst during a weekday rush hour. That streetcar was full to begin with, and patrons were expected to jump onto the next streetcar which was similarly full. I gave up and walked at point.
Why can't they just complete the damn route before going "out of service?" Totally infuriating.

Maps Redesigning the entire TTC Surface Network - Part 1
For the past 2-3 years, have working on a project to redesign the entire TTC surface network with a 10-year outlook (2036). This first part includes:
Downtown and East York
Midtown
South Etobicoke
North Etobicoke
West Etobicoke
South Scarborough
The new routings assume all major capital projects planned to be complete by 2036 are complete and open including:
- Ontario Line
- Waterfront East Line
- Eglinton West Extension
- Woodbine, East Harbour, Finch-Kennedy, Stockyards, Junction GO Stations
This project also assumes a significantly larger budget with expanded frequencies and routing. The new routings aim to:
- Connect routes to stations/terminals on both ends instead of just looping on street
- Improve connections to GO stations
- Improve connections in areas with poor service/coverage and industrial areas
- Reroute service to Line 3/5 stations instead of Line 1/2
- Introduce new express routes to capture markets with inconvenient transit itineraries
- Reduce duplication with 905 agencies (if a 905 agency provides service on a corridor, TTC service will be removed)
- Extend cross-boundary connections and transfers
This is still a work in a progress! Please let me know what you think and I will adjust along the way.

Question Why do TTC streetcar drivers, drive so slow?
I take the streetcar and I've only ever had a handful of decent drivers, the rest seem like they're going to a funeral. No urgency. Waiting for the yellow, going half the speed limit (they have gps but still never go anywhere near the speed limit) when there are ghost cars in front of them.
I get that they have slow-zones anytime there are junctions and bridges and whatever but I am guessing there is no motivation to do more routes? They just get paid for showing up?

Human vs. Timer long exposure photography inside a ttc tunnel at 4am - no subway cars were hurt or delayed because of this photo. I had permission, so this was not ‘illegal’. Photo taken in 2018.

Discussion [Short Rant] Today was a complete sh*tshow.
Hard to understand how the TTC and City of Toronto failed to help the public navigate the traffic nightmare caused by the marathon today. Paid to get on the 504 at Sherbourne only to be kicked off at Church with no instructions on how to get past the blocked streets.
Do better!!

Found a designer pair of sunglasses on the 501 on Sunday afternoon
Beautiful designer pair of sunglasses. Please send me the screenshot of the brand and what they look like or a picture of you wearing them. Not revealing the brand or if they’re men or women’s.

Gerrard and Greenwood. 506 approaching intersection and instead of the light turning red it stayed green past the pedestrian crossing signs and turn yellow as the car was through the box. What happened there.

Discussion Why are most bus drivers such a prick?
You've all probably been in the same shoes as me. I was running for my bus at a bus station and believe me it was the only bus near that area and the driver saw me running and just left me and it takes 20 minutes for another bus to leave the station on the weekend. I've also been on the buses when they deliberately leave people so why do they do that? An extra 10s is not gonna hurt them. Just ranting here since I'm kinda frustrated today with that.
Also, there are some drivers who just wait when they see some people running to their buses. Love y'all though but most of them are just pricks

Video While your TTC commute is getting slower, $48M is being spent destroying infrastructure.
This should make you furious as a TTC rider.
Please show up today to oppose Ford’s destruction! We’re here all day on Bloor near Islington.
Stay as long or as little as you’d like.
This will make the TTC buses far less reliable. I made a post on that already.
This needs to stop here and now.

Question Do you think we should have more busways in the future?
Because of the recent addition of the Scarborough Busway, I think there should be more busways in the future! Like a Dixon Busway. What are your thoughts on adding more busways in the future?
Picture Opinion: The new digital displays are useless
Below is an image of the display at King Station eastbound. It only shows the expected wait times for Subways, which anyway operate on a standard 2-5 min frequency. This stop caters to 503, 504, 508 and night streetcars which have erratic wait times due to bunching and gapping. TTC already has all this data, and it seems like a pure waste of digital real estate to not show it. Unless this is just a "pilot" however this display has been up for a while now so not sure what's the excuse.

Misc. Why is the 57 so badly run
This bus is fucking dog shit. Constantly doubled up with one packed and the other empty to create a 36m delay before the next bus.

Question Warden and Eglinton traffic signal upgrade!?
So when there is no streetcar detected, the traffic light goes back to old phrasing, which is left turn than green light
But when streetcar detected it will do green light first than left turn!
