Announcement Reminder again to be careful of pic collectors/blackmailers/scammers (example fakes in post body) NSFW

Swingersr4r community,

We have put out warnings so many times but we still often get people reaching out about having sent pictures to fakes or even worse, getting blackmailed after sending pics to someone who had reached out to their post. We are also removing and banning a couple posts a day of accounts that are using AI generated pictures, or that reach out for the verification process (both as a response to a ban or preemptively to be moreover convincing for victims).

For the real swingers: please be careful when interacting with people and to do your due diligence before providing any personal information and any pictures of you/your partner. If you feel like an account you interacted with is fake, please report it to Reddit, then let us know. In the end, you are responsible for your own safety and well-being on this platform.

For the fakes: shame on you and those like you. May law enforcement find you and punish you to fullest extent of the law. May you never be happy, may your food always be bitter, your life unfulfilled, and may disaster befall your sick collection and electronic devices. Be better.

Announcement General Warnings Regarding Malicious Actors NSFW

Due to the uptick in reporting of malicious and unsavory characters reaching out to our community, these are general warnings for all who use our community:

Per the previous few announcements, there are a lot of scammers/creeps leveraging AI to do verification, pic exchanges, and to fool people in general. Look out for strangeness in the pictures you are sent and check the pictures against Google Lens, Sight Engine, and other tools to verify they are authentic and real.
There are scammers who will offer to buy pictures, articles of clothing, and other things from users. For starters, do not use our community for this sort of business in the first place, and second, you likely will not receive your money and potentially get doxxed or worse. Ignore, report, then block these accounts who make these offers to you via DM.
If you are getting threatened with physical violence, leak of your pictures and details, or blackmail, immediately screenshot the conversation, report the messages to Reddit, and file a complaint to the FBI's IC3 site or your respective country's cyber crime division. Do not give these accounts money, more pictures, or whatever they are asking for.
No matter where you end up chatting, use your best judgment in the pictures you send, the information you provide (your names, location, social media handles, employment details, places you frequent) - any and all of this can be used to figure out who you are, where you live, where you work, and any other of details of your life you want to keep private. You are an adult, leveraging a free and open platform, where the moderation can only do so much to protect you. We as mods can control what posts are on the sub, what comments are up, but we have no control over who contacts you, who you talk to, and what both parties send or say. It is up to you to protect yourself and the ones you love.
Threatening or harassing messages sent to the moderation team will be reported to Reddit and potentially escalated further. We take actions to protect our community and all rules are clearly stated in multiple places across the sub, including as you post/comment depending on what application you use. By posting and commenting, you are agreeing to be moderated and for actions to be taken if the posts and comments break the rules outlined.
