This sub often talks about Stargate cast that's in other shows, or even who they would like to see in the show.

But who are you surprised about that isn't in the shows or the movies?

For me it would be Mark Sheppard and Tricia Helfer. Those 2 were in everything in those years.

For the last few weeks I have been working my way through all the model I have, putting together these scale charts. They're not perfect, but I hope they give you an idea of the different relative sizes of the default scale of the ships. Some are estimates (look for the E at the start of their size), some are rescales based on what's shown on the show.

Disclaimer

The objects shown are scaled one of five ways.

- Vfx models at 1:1 Scale as shown on the screen

- VFX Models scaled to fit the sets (where the models do not at default size)

- Fan models scaled to the size of VFX models

- Fan models scaled to the size of the sets

- IRL things at IRL size.

All sizes shown with an E at the start is an estimate, and should be taken as a guild until the VFX models can be checked. Sizes can vary between shots, all VFX sizes listed are their default 1:1 size, and compared to the sets to make sure they fit.

The ‘canon’ sizes are from the Stargate DVD collection. They made up their ship sizes whole cloth. While the VFX model sizes are not perfect, as seen by some not fitting sets, I have done my best to fix all that.

As such I would take the VFX size over the DVD Mag size. One of these days I will go through my magazine and rescale the VFX models at the sizes they claim, just for laughs.

Special thanks to

- The Stargate Modding Group for their models

- SenatorSeidelbast for helping with researching set sizes

- Everyone else who helped with researching the sizes and models for this project.

No, I cannot share the VFX models, but I can answer questions if you have any.

I finished SG1 for the first time recently and started Atlantis a couple of weeks ago. I’m going in blind on it all. I got to the episode “Sunday” last night before bed and man, that shit fucked me up for the night. I had to go to bed after that episode. I was a teenager when it was on so I never really watched it. Really enjoying it as much as SG1. So good. RIP Doc you were my favorite character!

They took care of that pesky Goa’uld problem we had.

(Seen in Holbrook, Arizona)

I often wonder what kinda world they would create while trying to act benevolent, maybe Thor would appear and we’d have alien battles but people think Thor and the grays are bad. Or could it be a situation like when SGI meets that one alien group and they change the world with a vaccine which rendered humanity sterile, a slow take over, (that episode creeps me out the most, them getting shot with countless tiny lasers slowly dying running to the gate, gives me chills)

I imagine a world ruled by Baal and the gang would be similar to what we’ve got now haha, funny enough the whistle blower David grusch has talked about seeing Different extraterrestrial species fighting one another.

Maybe someday soon we can get AI to create a full episode of this senecio playing out. I can see it now, guest appearance from the Rock haha

A stargate mod I made for battlefront 2

Hi all!

I went to a convention in 2004 I think (based on one of the autographs having (04) notes.

It was definitely in the UK

Torri Higginson was one of the headliners along with Colin Cunningham

I got my cap signed and it's been stored awhile but my son is watching SG1 for the first time and I wanted to give him my hat to carry on the legacy, but I don't remember or recognise some of the autographs!

Anyone recognise them or have any details on UK conventions from that era that I can look up?

Thanks

Watching this episode hit me personally. 6 minutes and 43 seconds into this episode, Shepard started explaining why he was reading War and Peace:

Back on Earth, when I was getting ready for this mission, I realized there's a good chance I might be here for a while, so I figured, "Why not take a long a book that takes a while to read."

Funny story: Once, while in the navy, I was directed to accompany a crew aboard a submarine for a few months. Last stop before boarding the boat was to a book store, where I bought War and Peace! For the same reason!

This distinctive fried chicken wall pattern caught my eye on SGA 3.18. Mmmm tasty.

Tok'ra been freakin' me out

I always heard this show was bad. I just sat down and tried to watch it and oh my God what an abomination

Heres another batch of concept art, this time from Season 1s Bloodlines.

So a test build for the Stargate for Halloween this year.... getting excited!!

It wouldn't help the wraiths healing as there pretty great at that already.

But it would help them extract a lot more use out of the their food supply.

What other milkyway technology would you be afraid for the Wraith to get their hands on?

Too rich for my blood unfortunately, but lovely seeing these out in the wild!

I’m I the only one that hasn’t seen this?! The interviewer is cool and knows her stuff. RdA and Corin were very good together

Given the number of people stationed at Star Gate Command and number of teams, how did they keep this thing a secret?

Great episode. So many funny moments.

"Well, what about the Furlings. Are we ever gonna hear about them?"

"Oh, of course. I'm sure we'll, we'll hear lots of stories about them. I mean, I'll make one up."

Haha, yeah right. Even the show itself teased us about not meeting the Furlings 😅

Great ending. I'm happy that Jack actually brought Joe to the base instead of brushing him off.

I laughed out loud when Joe clasped Teal'c's arm and said Shel Kek Nem Ron.

And in the end Jack even stopped by to speak with Joe's wife. I know it's just an episode in a show, but I wonder if she believed it in the end.
