Having a hard time with this one. The first boss was relatively easy to figure out but Spike is difficult for me. I’m playing the reignited trilogy and this is my first time ever playing a PvE game.
I can throw the ammunition towards him the first two times, but after that I’m pretty much cooked. He always gets to it before me and I either end up being clumsy and fall into the surrounding water or the shooting lava, or he kills me 🥲

EDIT: TERRIBLE TIMING i beat him right after posting this 😭😭😭

I had to share with others who may appreciate this.

I was 9 when the first Spyro came out. I still have my original PS1. Spyro is one of my all time favorite game series.

I’ve been playing 2&3 with my 3 year old and he absolutely loves them. He sits in my lap with his hands around the controller, mine around his. I get left joystick, L,R and X. He takes ⭕️ and sometimes square.

We completed Spyro 2 to 100% with most of the skill points, and around 70% on Spyro 3 currently.

In an age of AI, mindless garbage, and the enshittification of everything… it’s been amazing seeing him remember the names of the levels, what is in each level, figuring out the puzzles/secrets and how to unlock the next thing. He also noticed the music is the same in Idol Springs and Fracture Hills.
And him preferring to play these instead of new games makes me unbelievably happy.
His favorite levels are Skelos and Mystic Marsh.

He even pretends to fly, charge, use the superflame power up around the house and with his classmates in 4k. That’s the only sad part, he’s the only one who knows who Spyro is.

Coming home after work to my son saying with excitement, “DAD. WANNA PLAY SPYRO?!” Is truly a gift right now.

Game 14

So far so good xD, I've already beaten the Intro Stage (I didn't think there would be one) and the first normal level, and I like that Spyro can swim now I also find the new characters interesting.

I mean I did see a dragon but it was the wrong one

I saw the other post showing how to get the original trilogy's soundtracks and was inspired to make this post. I just think A Hero's Tail's soundtrack is heavily underrated. I get that Stewart Copeland's tracks for the original trilogy are GOATed (and I'm also a big fan of his work on Enter the Dragonfly), but the direction they had in aHT with their crew (Keith Leary, Paul Lawler, David Marsden, and Craig Sharmat) was pretty solid.

I get it's a big departure for fans of the original and there was also the composer change from Guy Cockcroft's work, which can still be heard through the beta tracks. But for me, I still put this on whenever I'm just relaxing, driving, or working on stuff.

I don't know if this is an uncommon opinion. Just that I hardly hear anyone bring it up when we're talking about the soundtracks for this franchise.

You can download it thanks to the Spyro Youtuber Ebbe. I'll link to his YouTube video, where in the description you can go to the MEGA link to download it if you wish.

I don't fully agree on them, but they do have strong points. The more I play the trilogy the more like the flow of Spyro 1 the most. I'm not saying every Spyro game should strictly be 1:1 to spyro 1, but we can take aspects from it

The Arabic and Spanish localisations for Reignited have been very useful in helping me learn those languages. Beats the classroom fosho.

Just curious how these two would scale. I only have the NECA rn

I love that the OG spyro games are getting love, and they really do deserve it. They were my Introduction to spyro games and without them, I likely would never have gotten into the spyro games at all.

The thing is though, as I grew and developed new taste in games, the Legend of spyro trilogy seemed like the perfect evolution fro the arcadey "collect-a-thon" style of the originals.

It had darker, more mature themes, a much deeper playstyle and more compelling story. I loved that it felt like there were real stakes ( especially in the 3rd title, Dawn of the Dragon). And I have a soft spot for a good love interest too, like Rivet for Ratchet, Krystal for Fox, and etcetera, and Cynder fits the bill. Her redemption is among my favorites.

Ive noticed a lot of people have been very vocal about their support for this new game thats coming in the OG continuity, and especially that theyre asking for certain aspects of the DOTD trilogy to make a return, like true flying and Cynder making an appearance, but thats really where I personally have an issue.

I loved the DOTD line of games and have been hoping for years, ever since learning the OG trilogy was getting a reboot, and that that horrid skylanders game that completely ruined the spyro games (for me) wasnt death-gripping my poor purple dragon anymore, that the Legend of spyro would recieve a reboot too. I legitimately want that entire continuity to return, not just some of it being rebirthed into a different story and game.

I dont know if the creator or developers of the Spyro games ever drop in and read these things, but if so;

I know I speak for a huge portion of a generation of people who are likely in or nearing their 30's and 40's by now when I say, we loved the Legend of spyro trilogy, and would love to see it get the reboot it deserves too. And possibly even a new game to tie up that cliff hanger at the end of Dawn of the Dragon that never got tied. Unfortunately Skylanders happened instead of a follow up to DOTD, but this is the closest I have ever felt to a chance of it happening and thought Id make it known here that we would all love it.

Sincerely,

All of us fans of 'The Legend of Spyro'

I haven't seen anyone bring this up yet. This comes from both the Nintendo and Xbox store pages.

It should be worth noting that at the moment it's a provisional rating, so basically it could change later down the line (for example, Crash 4 originally had a provisional PEGI 7 rating, it later received a PEGI 12 rating).
