Discussion True damage reduction for Sona
I know that Sona's W ability, Power Chord, reduces all enemy damage in general, but if it also reduced true damage, would that be good or would it be too powerful?

Hi Sona mains.
I'm new to sona, and my build is swiftness, the support healing tear item, the chalice green item and moonstone, iirc but i see a lot of people build Fimbelwinter.
The thing is, fimbelwinter slow>shield only works when the champ is melee, so Dona shouldnt benefit from it except when she ult, is it that good item anyway?
Also, is sona healing not really good? I feel like i dont heal much even lategame, having in consideration that sona W doesnt lower cooldown with levels.
Edit: mb, what i currently build is first back tear, then i build the chalize one (idk the name), then i go rush swiftness and then tear item. After the tear item i go with moonstone.

I'd like to see Sona's ultimate from Wild Rift added to League of Legends. I think it aesthetically complements her auras, since they're circular. Sona's ultimate in Wild Rift is characterized by a rapidly moving circle. I find her current ultimate mediocre, and Seraphine practically copied it, which is why they're constantly compared. I'd also like to see Sona's passive from Wild Rift, a brief 0.5-second stun combined with her Power Chord, given her more advantage and survivability. Ideally, that passive would affect enemies and ignore towers, jungle monsters, and minions, just like it works in Wild Rift.

I don't know how I feel about her there. The autos just stunning is so funny and it's good to be annoying, her ult being a circle skill shot and hitting multiple times is also kinda weird.

sona is my girl for life but god does it feel so depressing when so many games i am out dps-ing the supposed carries on my team… plat/em lobbies - I think I’m just frustrated because this is probably my fifth or sixth game in the last two days where i am doing equal or more damage than at least 2 ppl on my team. i do my best to never KS so that the kill gold can be on other champs but what can you even do when you’re the only one kiting and trying to play to live in team fights… obv i think “elo-hell” is cope and im sure there’s things i could have done to play better but sigh </3 just a bit of a rant to my fellow mavens of the strings ~ it’s my first season genuinely grinding ranked how do yall cope w this (T ^ T)
sorry mods if this doesnt constitute as an acceptable post

I've seen mixed opinions about the rune. When should I take it? I took it once, and it went nicely but I felt it was suboptimal to, say, Aery. For context, I'm in low-elo Bronze-Gold, and it might not be as effective or as bad as in other elos.

As Sona mains, what are your opinions on Seraphine? I was completely against her and appalled when I initially saw her come out onto the rift. I refused to play her and still do. Saw her as a cop-out and remake/copycat of Sona. I ask this question because today I impulse bought a magnetic plush hand in hand series today because it was right there at the register, and I never see league of legends things anywhere. Of all of the ones inside for the random plush to be, I got the Seraphine one.

What aspect of Sona's abilities would you improve? Just out of curiosity. I'd give her more effective crowd control for greater safety, updated buffs (the ones she grants are very outdated), and also her Power Chord and ultimate (they're good, but not very satisfying). If she received one or more buffs, would she be viable in competitive play?

Because they consider Sona a bad champion pick. It's true that for some she's an excellent support, but as always, there are those who complain and criticize her from the moment they pick her. I was told that there are better alternatives like Seraphine, Milio, or Nami, whose abilities are more focused on protecting the team, and that Sona is just a minion, lacks crowd control, and it's very easy to lose your lane with her. She's really a very bad champion for those who have never played her and suggest that she should receive an update or some kind of tool to improve her.

A random question: Would you like Sona to have one or more crowd control abilities in addition to the stun from her ultimate? Perhaps each ability or Power Chord would have a crowd control effect that complemented the others. For example, her Q would have a powerful crowd control effect, her W a knockback effect, and her E a crowd control effect that disrupted movement. Or, what crowd control effects would you choose? Knockdown, Knockback, Charm, Taunt, Fear, Blind, Disarm, Sleep, Ground Suppression, Stun, Root, Suspense, Silence, Fury, and Lulu's Transform. I know some crowd control effects might not be suitable for Sona, while others might be perfect for her, or perhaps you'd prefer Sona to have a unique and different crowd control ability.

I feel like I’ve just been spamming the same enchanter build recently and want to try something new/fun in norms and maybe… just maybe.. in ranked ;) I remember lichbane being fun but that was a while ago.
