Hey everyone! I wanted to share a passion project I recently finished called Nightmare Exorcist: Escape from the Nightmare Realm.

It's a retro, 1-bit monochrome horror RPG where you navigate dark, fog-choked corridors using a flashlight/lantern mechanic while engaging in turn-based tactical combat against nightmarish creatures like Cursed Minotaur and Grave Hounds.

If you love classic indie horror aesthetics, grid exploration, and survival mechanics, I’d love for you to check it out! You can play it right in your browser for free.

After 1 year of development i've just published the Steam page for Roma 2443, a free-to-play RTS coming soon!

There are two ways to play:

PvE Extraction RTS: Play solo or co-op, gather resources, upgrade your army, and deal with permanent unit deaths. Every loss matters!

Fast-Paced PvP RTS : An RTS focused on micro and skill, with ranked matches, replays, 1v1v1, 2v2, a map editor, and even tournaments with cash prizes!

Discussion Hey Everyone Are simulation games still popular? And do you think this art style is a good fit for them?

Hey everyone! About a month ago, I finished my Cartoon Furniture Ultimate Pack. It took a lot of time and effort to create, but sales have been lower than I’d hoped.
How do they look, and is there anything you’d improve?

Ok so I know I could use an AI voice and it might be cleaner but I went with an authentic feel(me). Now be honest, does using a real voice make up for how bad my voice is? (This took 40 takes )

Unreal I tried to make the creepiest crawl I could. Did it work?

• Upvotes

I've been working on the crawling for my possessed humans, really think it's turning out great.

You can't see it well but in the video it slightly climbed the wall, which they will do to avoid getting shot at & as well as overall jump scares and creepiness! Next is how they hit you, I have a temporary punch animation in but replacing it later with something better.

Little bonus on my blood system at the end (smear, pooling, etc).

Game Punch Down - Networking Simulator

Hello!

Im waiting on my steam account approval so i can finally get my store page setup. In that time ive been working to really polish the game and get it to a good spot for a short EA before release.

Im looking to see if anyone has any advice on the steam side/advertising that they would of done differently after their first time. Also any advertising tips in general would be heavily appreciated, my game has its niche and its hard to get the word of it into those communities.

Short descrtiption

Its a fully simulated Networking game, switches, vlans, firewalls, sattelite, mpls, etc

I am also looking for a few more testers that are interested in tryign out the game. (The testers will receive the game for free)

Game I just passed 1000 wishlists for my game Contested Space!

I'm the developer behind Contested Space, a 1-4 player sci-fi roguelike deckbuilder with online co-op. The Steam page went live in early June and I crossed 1000 wishlists this week. It's not the biggest number, but it felt like a real milestone so I wanted to share it here.

I started building Contested Space back in March, and I've been the only developer on it. I have contracted out work for the art and some of the music, but I'm the only one that's touched the game itself in Godot.

The main source of wishlists has been just posting in various subreddits. I've also been running some Reddit Ads for the last 2 weeks. I'm happy to give advice or suggestions if anyone has any questions about that!

I'm also happy to say that the demo has now hit 30 reviews.

Discussion I redid the armory screen in my RTS. Before and after

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm making MESHFALL on my own, an RTS where your units only take orders inside your radio network. This week I redid the armory, where you spend the XP you earn across runs on new units and bonuses. Left is before, right is after.

Someone on another sub pointed out that the cost and what each bonus does should be the easiest things to read, so I made those bigger and brighter too.

Would you know at a glance what you own, what's equipped and what you can still buy?

Free demo in the browser: https://applechr.itch.io/meshfall

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5415540/MESHFALL/

Thanks!

Godot Adding an in game level editor since day 1 was the best decision

It took me a while to set this up in Godot engine, and I keep updating it constantly, but this makes level design on my puzzle game so easy that I just want to remember everyone to really dedicate some time to this as early as possible in yout gamedev journey if you game requires it.

Have a great gamedev session!

help My Kickstarter is live! A proud moment as a solo developer, although life has made things pretty difficult recently.

Hey all!

I'm Nick, a solo developer from Cambridge, UK.

For the past year I've been building Luminids alongside working full-time. It's a peaceful little voxel world where you build colonies, explore, farm, fish, craft and look after these tiny creatures that have their own personalities, memories and relationships.

I wanted to make something that felt cozy, warm and inviting. Somewhere you could build a home, watch your little community grow and just enjoy being there. It's about stillness and calm vibes.

I'm proud of what I've made so far, and very close to a public demo.

Unfortunately, life hasn't been particularly kind recently. My work contract was ended early, and I'm now facing the very real possibility of losing my home. It's hard for me to ask for help, but I'm putting my best foot forward in the hope that more kind souls will continue to support this project.

So this Kickstarter means an awful lot to me, both for the game and personally.

I'm trying to raise £12,000 to help bring Luminids to the world in February 2027.

If it's your sort of game, I'd be incredibly grateful if you'd consider backing it. Even a small pledge helps, and there are reward tiers too.

And if you can't, sharing it with someone who might enjoy it would mean a lot.

Thanks for taking a look. ❤️

Game I turned my menu-based RPG into one where the road is the game: every expedition fight is real, and loot is lost if you die before getting home

Solo dev here, working on **VEYDRIS**, a dark-fantasy RPG that runs in the browser.

For a long time the core loop was "click mission → wait → collect". It worked, but nothing happened on the way. In the latest version I rebuilt it:

- Each map has 3 expeditions (1 / 5 / 15 min).

- The server pre-plans the route (enemies, chests, caches, a 28% chance of a hidden side passage) but never sends future events to the client, so you can't peek.

- **Manual mode** pauses the clock at each encounter until you open and watch the fight. Reloading never skips it.

- **Auto mode** runs the exact same fights without playback.

- Loot goes into an unsecured bag. Defeat clears it; items you owned before are untouchable.

The hardest part solo was keeping old saves valid: journeys started under the old rules keep their old contract, so nobody loses anything on update.

I'd love feedback from other solo devs: does a risk rule like this make an idle-ish game more interesting, or just more stressful?

Discussion Are you a solo developer by choice or by circumstance?

Do you actually enjoy working solo, or is it more because you don’t have anyone to work with?

Do you prefer it because you genuinely enjoy having full control over everything?

And if you could have someone working alongside you, what parts of the process would you most want help with? What do you miss the most about not having someone else involved?

Game I'm making a pixel art game where you control four strange spheres at the same time!

Hi everyone!

I'm a solo indie developer working on SKIVA, a pixel art action game where you control four strange spheres simultaneously using the same controls.

The goal is to cross challenging rooms while dodging enemies, projectiles, and traps. The game focuses on precision, quick retries, and that "just one more try" feeling.

There's also something mysterious unfolding as you progress...

I'm currently working on a 10-room demo, which I plan to bring to Steam Next Fest in February 2027, with the full game planned for the first half of 2027.

I'd love to hear what you think about the gameplay!

SKIVA is now on Steam if you'd like to wishlist it:

Okay, I finally have to show this to someone!!

I'm making Serious Losers Arena Paradis. It's a co-op physics brawler where you and up to 3 friends fight waves of monsters and huge bosses.

Everything is physics, so every hit sends someone flying. Between waves you can duel your friends for coins.

Once the Steam page is up, I'll be running a closed playtest and you'll be able to join! I really want to hear your honest feedback: what you liked, what you didn't, and what you'd love to see in the game.
