Vintage Barlow with Japan blade?
Very fortunate to have inherited this Barlow.
Appears to be the Imperial design, but I’m having a hard time finding any with a Japan marked blade.
Canadian market origin.
For anyone concerned, this thing was handed to me as a ball of orange rust that wouldn’t open. I’ve done a preservation restoration so it’s a bit shiny in the shots.
The idea was to preserve all the grind and hammer marks left by my great grandfather. But remove the rust and get it snapping again.
Looking forward to watching these blades tarnish back.
Any ideas of era, or general info would be rad!

Case ID
My father will have passed on, 2 yrs this coming Monday. Before he did, he left me a fairly generous collection of pocket knives. Some he collected, some he carried. But I found this one on his bedside table after he passed, in a ceramic dish I made probably when I was 6 or 7 (over 30 yrs ago). It's well worn with its well deserved patina, chips and cracks.
I've carried it off and on in remembrance since his passing but not looked into it much. With his passing day coming up, it's found its way back into my pocket and I thought I'd ask around about it.
Can anyone tell me what design/style, maybe relative age? I'm sure the blades are HC but not sure on the scales.
Thanks all in advance.

Showing Off My recent carries!
I wish I could fuse these knives together. I love Rosecraft for their materials, their price, their relative availability, fit and finish etc. This Rosecraft Briarpatch jack is my newest knife and i love it! Though my thumb nails kinda hate how strong the action is! But amazing walk and talk!
The GEC elephant toe is one of my favorites, easy to grab and go, but I personally wish it had two blades like a whaler pattern.
Anyway, love me a good traditional knife!
