Mod Update: Chill with the Hate
Just dropping in to say—we’ve noticed a bunch of Hindutva trolls showing up lately. We’re removing their posts and banning where needed. This sub isn’t the place for that kind of hate.
Also, let’s keep it real: no jingoism from any side. Doesn’t matter if you’re Pakistani or Indian—this sub is for Sindh and Sindhis, wherever you are in the world.
And yeah, just because someone’s Indian doesn’t mean they can’t be part of this space. This sub is not restricted to race, religion or nationality.
Mods are all doing this in our free time, so if you don’t see instant action, know we’re still watching and doing our best. Keep reporting stuff and we’ll keep cleaning it up.

Yayyy no Sindhi army general!
At least now these f**kers cant blame state Pakistan is in on us. They cant use a Sindhi general as an excuse to shift the blame onto Sindhis for the countrys failures like they do with ZA Bhutto. 😂

Social Being Sindhi I sadly confess we're destroyed mentally
few days back was going to somewhere
Saw a couple going on bike
The women's hijab was literally inches away from getting stucked in tyre/chain cover
I suddenly shouted "adi burqoo"
they stopped at first she fixed her hijab
The man came to me and said "Iha kehri fazilat aa?
I was like what tf just I do
After giving me death stares he said how dare you to yell on our womens/ننگ, I said there was nothing to get angry about
All I saw something which can cause serious injuries to both of you
He literally said I would want her to be in blood rather than being called on public places
Btw the argument got so long he just kept saying
I know bishni likes you
I dunno what bishni means

How Hyderabad's old rooftop windcatchers caught the breeze (and why they could not always cool the air)
Many older homes in Hyderabad, Sindh, had windcatchers on their roofs: an opening that faced the wind, caught the breeze and sent it down into the rooms below (Express Tribune, "The story of Hyderabad, Sindh", 2016; The News, "Catching wind", 2016). In The News piece, elders remember those breezes on summer evenings and at night.
One honest limit: a windcatcher brings in outside air, and an engineering article from Istanbul Technical University (2026) points out that this air can itself be very hot in summer. So it moved air through the house, but it could not promise cool air at every hour.
Disclosure: this is our own channel. We make short animated explainers in Urdu, with help from AI tools, and every fact is checked against at least two sources. The video (about a minute, Urdu) is here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rlnVXScfnHA
Did your family's house, or a relative's, have one? I would like to hear what it was like.

Music | سنگيت drop your fav sindhi tracks
i dont live in a sindhi dominated area (indian if that matters) so i dont have much knowledge or access to sindhi folk songs or anything except the basics they play at weddings (which i’d like to argue i’ve grown a little sick of)
and im trying to learn more about my culture and stuff (ps it doesn’t have to be folk songs or anything im just trying to learn sindhi thru songs)

Title: Students who were behind in Class 9, how did you manage to complete your syllabus and get good marks?
I'm a Class 9 student in Pakistan preparing for the Sindh Board exams. I have multiple subjects to prepare for, and sometimes I struggle with focus, consistency, and the pressure of completing the syllabus on time.
I want to improve my marks and actually understand what I'm studying instead of just memorizing everything.
For those who have been in a similar situation:
- How many hours did you realistically study each day?
- How did you finish your syllabus without forgetting what you had already studied?
- What did you do when you couldn't concentrate or felt stressed about studying?
- What mistakes wasted the most time for you?
