new build Sig 556XI Build Done!
This started out as a standard Sig 556XI rifle which was legally converted to a SBR, barrel chopped by Rack it Back Armory and cerakote work done by Weaponworks. I want to thank RIBA especially, this was a REALLY difficult gun to do a barrel chop on because Sig used a proprietary barrel nut on these and of course there are absolutely no tools available to remove and reinstall the barrel, so they made a custom tool to get the barrel out in order to turn it down. They did a super clean job, and got it cut down to 11.5 inches for me. Sig made a factory SBR as a 10 incher, but I see no disadvantage of going 11.5 here. Cerakote is Weaponwork's Sandstone Granite pattern, which I have on the mags and my EOTech cover. It's a light, handy little rifle and I can't wait to get it out to the range to shoot it.
