One of the GOATS in boss quality and as a villain too, what an irredeemable, cheating and despicable piece of sh!t. My top 3 fav bosses in Sekiro and I'm so excited to fight his inner version, I've heard is somehow even better.

Especially when you get into the groove of figuring out the mini bosses attack patterns, you have to hold all that information whilst taking out the enemies over and over again.
What a punishing game this is

What a beautiful game. I regret that I didn’t play Sekiro ealier. As a casual gamer, I was afraid that Sekiro was too hard for me. It _is_ hard, but it’s also fair. Each boss fight teaches me something, and I can see my skills improved after each fight. Well maybe not much with the Mist Noble.
My next challenge is to finish the other 2 endings with Charmless + Demon Bell.

I have figured out isshin 2nd phase. The problem is my situation rn. Low health, less gourds, no spirit emblems. Only the katana and mortal blade.
But surprisingly I'm doing the true ending tho 😝.
So after this phase I have no idea what to do about it. Do I have to learn all the moves and parry evrything? 😭😭 Help me.

This was such a hard boss the first time around let alone a second time he rlly was giving me the works I dont think ive struggled this hard since malenia (radahn consort still the hardest boss ive ever done atm)
2:24 second phase
No cheese, no endless running around, just lots of parrying and slowly but surely chipping away at the small ape.
Most of the time the small ape stays behind and you have to parry the headless ape. As long as you don't get too close, the small ape only joins the fight at some specific combos. Most importantly is the scream, after which the small ape does a 5-hit combo, then you can land a few hits without getting attacked by the headless one.
Also be careful after the short scream, you can get attacked by both apes, tbh that's kinda rng if you take damage or not, might be better to run away.
The spear (for headless ape) and fireworks (for small ape) make the fight much easier but this is proof you can do it without prosthetics, combat arts, items or cheese.
I posted this on yt too btw here.
Edit: My wording was very bad. I don't mean to say the devs intended for sword only. But using prosthetics, items, combat arts is very customizable and up to the player to see what works and use what they have. Whatever I'm using, some players might not have that.
So the challenge is sword only. Now given the challenge I was trying to learn this boss in a way without running around and finding some weird cheese or strat. Just using the parry / attack mechanics of the game in an intuitive way, how I believe the devs intended.
I was hoping that by doing this other players that don't understand how this boss works might see a non-cheese way to play against it sword-only (they can add their own tools on top). I was searching for this exact video and couldn't find it, so I made my own.

I have been stuck on great shinobi owl. My current vitality is 15 and my attack power is 7. I can get him to phase two with no heals but I just die in phase two

Sekiro still holds up beautifully, but the in-game settings don’t give you much to work with if your GPU struggles at native res or you’ve got a high refresh monitor stuck at 60. So I wrote SekiroPerf, a small DLL mod that does two things:
It works with Mod Engine or standalone (just rename it to dinput8.dll), and on Linux through Proton. Everything’s in one commented ini file.
A couple of honest caveats: the HUD gets upscaled too, so text is slightly softer than native, and the menu cursor can be a bit off at lower resolutions. Gameplay and controllers aren’t affected.
Huge thanks to uberhalit, whose SekiroFpsUnlockAndMore signatures the FPS unlock is built on. MIT licensed, full source on GitHub:
https://github.com/LordDav0s/SekiroPerf
If anything breaks, the mod writes a log next to the DLL. Attach it to an issue and I’ll take a look. Curious to hear what kind of gains you all get.
