Lost wallet
I know this is a LONG shot. I lost my wallet today on the 40 from Fremont to SLU at about 8pm. There isn’t much in there beyond my credit cards and ID but would be majorly appreciated if this happens to turn up somewhere or if anyone has advise on who to call where to text. Thanks in advance

❄️🐀 Wet Rat Winter 🐀❄️ My favorite ballot dropbox is at the sauna

Ballots are arriving in the mail and because of postmark delays and requirements imposed this year, we can’t trust USPS. Which means it’s time to choose your ballot dropbox! I’ve had a favorite for almost 15 years of voting. It’s tucked away, on the water, near some nice public amenities, including a sauna. I didn’t want to share my voting day ritual but if this even gets one more of you out to vote then it is worth it.
What you will need for this adventure is your ballot (filled out and signed), a swimsuit, and $8. You’re going to time your arrival for Rec Swim (or Lap Swim) at the Evans Pool (https://www.seattle.gov/parks/pools/evans-pool) and then drop your ballot off at the Greenlake Community Center Dropbox. Go through the doors behind the box and to the desk on the left to get signed in. Then out on the pooldeck is the oldest indoor public pool in Seattle and a SAUNA. It’s one of the best deals for almost an hour of sauna time. Work those finger muscles hard filling in the black bubbles and then do your recovery in the cedar heat before heading back to your e-bike in the chilly November air.
If a public pool sauna is not your vibe, here are other ballot dropboxes next to saunas:
Waterway 19 Park Ballot Drop Box – this is a stones throw to the hot tub boats and that new bougie Circle Wellness Sauna.
South Lake Union Ballot Drop Box – Probably near Banya 5. I’ve never been there because it kinda scares me but they are both in SLU.
Seattle Central College Ballot Drop Box – Around the corner from Hot House which takes private reservations for parties of up to 8. Bring your whole polycule!
Those are the ones I know of off the top of my head but is your ballot dropbox also next to a sauna? Share in the comments. Let’s get hygge and do our civic duty this November.
Find your dropbox here: https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/elections/how-to-vote/ballots/return-my-ballot/ballot-drop-boxes

Seattle drivers need to learn how to use roundabouts.
With new roundabouts popping up all over, it's pretty clear that no one actually knows how to properly use them. I used the new pair at 145th above I5, and it in infuriating. It's clear that Americans need to learn how to navigate the things. People are approaching these things and absolutely panicking.
So. Roundabouts.
They're not red lights. They're not stop signs. They're not uncontrolled intersections.
They're more like freeway entrances, where you merge in and out of traffic that keeps moving, but in the round.
When you approach a roundabout, do not stop and wait for a big clear hole to open up as if you're approaching a stop sign. If at all possible, do not stop - just keep moving and ease your car into the moving traffic, like a zipper merge.
When you get into the roundabout, go slowly. It's not "My turn! Hit the gas and bomb across the intersection!" as if you just got a green light. Slow down and assume that everyone else is going to do the slow merge into moving traffic that you did a moment ago. Let people in, and make sure traffic keeps moving, slowly & steadily.
The whole point of a roundabout is that traffic keeps moving. Everyone needs to go slowly, and let people in and out and necessary, and you pay attention. When used correctly, the whole thing goes smoothly and is SO MUCH BETTER than the red light back up that used to collect at that intersection.

Dog Rescues
Hi there, I have a friend that volunteers at the Kent animal shelter and they are scheduling to euthanize a dog after just a week that is not aggressive but responding very negatively to the shelter environment after being found title to a pole. It feels like a very early decision and an unnecessary one. If anyone has any resources to dog rescues that are willing to take on another dog, it just feels like such a shame for this dog to be euthanized, especially since they are willing to transfer him.

Anyone else absolutely destroyed by a stomach bug?
After our kiddo had it, my wife and I dropped dead the same time yesterday. Projectile vomiting and sitting on the toilet all day. Severe stomach cramps we could hardly sleep. Really achey, but that’s partially due to not being able to move out of the bed most of the time. Didn’t eat anything all day.
Today is slightly better, we’ve had a couple of bites of food but the cramps and discomfort are still quite intense. We both think this is near the most sick we have ever been. Luckily our daughter seemed to get through it pretty quick. Us not so much. Anyone have the same thing and get tested?

Record setting day, everyone. Fantastic! We did it.
This might be the last day of the great weather this year. What are you doing up enjoy it?
I'm just leaving Matthews Beach after sunning with the little ones, they still think it's summer.
In the middle of October! Can you believe it?! In PNW? I never would've if you told me this is beautiful Seattle weather where "it rains all the time". Ha ha, it's propaganda. Good thing I didn't listen.

Hit by a car Looking for Witnesses at 9th Ave N & John St, Oct 15, Thu, 2:25 PM
Hi,
My partner was hit by a car yesterday (Oct 15) around 2:25 PM at 9th Ave N & John St, across from HEYTEA in South Lake Union.
The driver failed to stop at a stop sign. My partner suffered a concussion and multiple injuries and was taken to Harborview by ambulance.
We've checked with nearby businesses but haven't found any camera footage.
Did anyone witness the accident or happen to have dashcam footage? Any help would mean a lot.
Thank you!
