Casual (Repost) [Repost] [Casual] Zodiac Sign and MBTI Personality (Everyone welcome)

Thumbnail forms.gle
0 Upvotes

Hello there! I'm currently working on a project comparing peoples Zodiac Signs to their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator— or MBTI as it's more widely known.

Before I proceed any further though, I do believe that both are pseudoscience and shouldn't be used in any real scientific/psychological/health related way. However*,* many people enjoy taking personality quizzes and reading horoscopes for their Zodiac sign. So as someone that partakes in the fun but still believes themselves as person of science, I wanted to take matters into my own hands and see once and for all if either of the two systems have any real claim/consistency.

I am here to humbly ask those who are interested to fill out this Google form asking for your Zodiac Sign and MBTI. You do NOT need to give your name, birthday, or any personal information at all. Although you will be asked to sign in to a google account. This is to prevent spam and any duplicate responses. Your email will not be saved or collected as I mentioned earlier— you will have total anonymity.

In the system of the Zodiac, there are four elements which each have their own attributes, similar to MBTIs four functions. The Zodiac has Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. The MBTI has Extroversion vs. Introversion, Intuitive vs. Sensing, Feeling vs. Thinking, and Judging vs. Prospecting. The correlation here is is that each element also has a stereotype for someones personality!

For example, Fire signs can be described as passionate and creative, but inconsistent and non-committal-- this aligns perfectly with and Intuitive and Prospecting MBTI personality. Earth signs are the opposite, known for being pragmatic and hardworking, but stubborn and tunnel visioned, aligning with the Sensing and Judging MBTI personality!

Of course there are other overlapping similarities (enough so to warrant me looking into it, hence the whole form) but I'll keep it to one simple example for now!

—and if you can, I'd love if you could share this form to any friends, family, or anyone you know that would be willing to fill it out! Thank you!

Hi everyone!
I’m conducting a short market research survey to understand how couples manage their wedding budgets, what challenges they face, and which planning tools they would actually find useful.
The survey takes approximately 2 minutes, doesn’t ask for your name or email address, and is intended for adults currently planning a wedding.
The research will help inform the development of a potential paid digital wedding budgeting tool.

Marketing (Repost) How do you choose where and when to travel? (Short anonymous survey, adults 18+ who have taken or plan a holiday abroad)

Hello, I am building a small travel website and would like to understand how people actually choose a destination and a time of year.

This is a short anonymous survey (about 4 minutes). It asks what you decided first on your last trip, what you used to decide, and how much things like weather, price, crowds and language mattered. It does not ask for your name or email.

At the end there is an optional second part, about 10 minutes, where you can test a travel weather website that I built. You can stop after the first part.

Who it is for: adults (18+) from any country who have taken a holiday abroad in the last 24 months or plan one in the next 6 months.

I will post a short summary of the results in this thread when I have enough responses. Thank you for your time.

Marketing What do you find difficult about starting a conversation or keeping one going? (EVERYONE)

Hi everyone! I’m thinking about building an app to help people practise conversations. It might eventually become a paid product, but first I want to understand people’s experiences.

Are there moments when you want to start talking but don’t know what to say? Or when a conversation trails off and you’re unsure how to keep it going? I’d like to hear what happened and whether you’ve tried anything that helped.

I’ve put together a survey about a recent conversation you had. You’re welcome to take part even if talking to people usually comes easily to you—it’s about your experience, rather than whether you like the app idea.

Please leave out names or anything that could identify you or someone else. You can skip any questions about your experiences.

Academic [Academic] Judging whether an AI assistant filled in its tasks correctly (18+, English readers, ~10 min)

Hi! I'm a computer science master's student working on a research paper about AI assistants that act on their own, for example smart glasses that look something up for you before you ask.

You'll see short examples: a situation, a tool the assistant used (like a web search or an calendar entry), what the assistant filled in, and a reference answer. For each one you click

Correct, Partial or Incorrect. No AI or technical knowledge is needed.

Link: https://andreas-hum.github.io/ai_assistant/

  • Each question takes about 10 seconds. Even 15-20 answers help, and they are sent automatically as you go, so you can stop whenever you like.
  • If you have 10 minutes, doing 50 would help the most: the first 50 are the ones I need most.
  • Please type a nickname, not your real name. Nothing else about you is collected.

Thank you, every answer genuinely helps!

Marketing (Repost) [Marketing] Kids' Backpack Survey – 2–3 Minutes (US Parents of Young Children)

Hi everyone!

I'm a mom and designer currently developing a new kids' backpack concept, and I'd love to get some honest feedback from other parents.

I'm researching what matters most when choosing a backpack for kids — comfort, durability, functionality, design, and how much personalization matters to children.

The survey takes about 2–3 minutes, and your feedback would be incredibly helpful as I develop the product.

As a thank-you, participants who complete the survey and optionally leave their email can enter a random drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card.

Marketing Dating After 45: Have you found meaningful connections, or has online dating been more frustrating than you expected? (US, Ages 45–65, Current or Former Dating-App Users)

Dating after 45 — I'd love to hear about your experience.

I'm conducting independent market research to better understand the real experiences of adults aged 45–65 in the United States who have used dating apps like Match, OurTime, eHarmony, Bumble, Hinge, or Tinder.

I'm particularly interested in how people feel about searching for a meaningful relationship, what they've tried, what has worked or disappointed them, and what they genuinely hope to find.

About the survey:

  • Approximately 12–20 minutes.
  • Open-ended questions — your own words matter more than ticking boxes.
  • Both positive and negative dating experiences are welcome.
  • No name or email address required.
  • Voluntary participation. No product is being sold.

Take the survey here:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdG7LJsubSzWW5tVFH2H8nBc9qteJsR_TgviTGJxY8Nw1okKg/viewform

Your responses will help identify the real challenges and expectations of people dating later in life.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!

Marketing Title: Would you actually buy a gut-health jelly stick? Need brutally honest opinions.(18-50)

I’m in the very early stages of developing a wellness brand and wanted to get some honest feedback before I spend thousands of dollars on something people might not even want lol.

The concept is a daily gut-health jelly stick that you squeeze directly from the packet. Think a fruity, ready-to-eat jelly with fiber to support digestive health and regularity. No powders, no mixing, no pills.
I want it to taste genuinely good, have ingredients that actually serve a purpose, and feel more like a fun daily ritual than taking another supplement.
I’m considering a box of 15 sticks for around $25–$30.

A few things I’m curious about:
-Would you actually buy something like this, or does the jelly format seem weird?
-Do you currently take anything for gut health, bloating, or digestion? What do you like/dislike about it?
-Would you prefer a jelly over powders, gummies, or capsules?

Is $25–$30 for 15 servings reasonable, or would that be an immediate no?
What would make you trust a new gut-health brand enough to try it?
Please** be brutally honest.** If you think it’s a terrible idea, I genuinely want to know why.
I’m not selling anything or linking a product. Just trying to figure out whether there’s actual demand before investing in development.
Appreciate any feedback!

Academic PhD Research Participants Wanted – Understanding Substance Use and Identity (UK, 18+)

Thumbnail gallery
2 Upvotes

Hi everyone!

I’m a PhD researcher at the University of Derby, and I’m currently recruiting participants for the final two studies of my doctoral thesis.

My research explores how substance use is understood and represented in society, how identities associated with substance use are constructed, and how these understandings relate to UK drug policy. The work takes a critical, Post-Marxist perspective, examining how language, social narratives and cultural assumptions shape the ways we think about substance use and the people who use substances.

I’m looking for people who would be interested in contributing to either of the following studies.

Study 1: Understanding Substance Use Through a Story Completion Task

What is involved?

You’ll be asked to complete a short written story based on a fictional scenario involving a character who uses a particular substance. The task explores how people understand and make sense of substance use through the stories they create.

  • Time commitment: Approximately 25 minutes.
  • Who can participate? Anyone aged 18 or over who is a UK citizen or is subject to UK drug laws.
  • What will you do? Complete one short story and answer a small number of optional background questions.
  • Do you need personal experience of substance use? No. This study is interested in how people understand and conceptualise substance use, so personal experience is not required.

The task is completed online, making it possible to take part in your own time.

Study 2: Interviews About Substance Use, Identity and Lived Experience

What is involved?

This study explores how people who currently use illicit substances understand their experiences and construct their own identities. Through a semi-structured interview, we’ll discuss topics such as experiences of substance use, self-perception, stigma, social attitudes and UK drug policy.

The aim is to provide an open, supportive and non-judgmental space in which participants can share their perspectives in their own words. The research seeks to give greater attention to experiences and perspectives that are often underrepresented in research and public discussion.

  • Time commitment: Up to 90 minutes.
  • Who can participate?
    • You must be aged 18 or over.
    • You must be a UK citizen or be subject to UK drug laws.
    • You must currently use a substance considered illicit under UK drug policy.
    • You must regard your use as recreational, spiritual, for wellbeing or for mental health-related purposes.
  • What will we discuss? Your experiences and understandings of substance use, identity, stigma and wider social attitudes.

You do not need to be an expert on drug policy or social theory. I’m interested in your own experiences, perspectives and interpretations.

Interviews take place online via Microsoft Teams, depending on your preference and availability.

Confidentiality and voluntary participation

Participation in both studies is voluntary. The research follows the University of Derby’s research ethics procedures, and participant information explains how data will be handled and protected.

For the interview study, identifying information will be anonymised in the research outputs. You can decline to answer questions, take a break or stop an interview. The participant information sheet explains the arrangements for withdrawing your data.

Interested in taking part?

If you’re interested in either study, please have a look at the relevant study flyer attached to this post.

If you have any questions or would like further information, you can contact me at:

Joshua Williams
PhD Researcher, University of Derby
[100442840@unimail.derby.ac.uk](mailto:100442840@unimail.derby.ac.uk)

You’re welcome to get in touch even if you’re unsure whether you’re eligible. I’m happy to provide further information so you can decide whether taking part is right for you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I really appreciate any interest, participation or sharing of the study with others who may be eligible.
