Tier 30 in one week, very pleased with the effective removal of the weekly cap. I hardly ever bother with com, stopped doing bonus tasks once the event track was completed. Grind has gone. Happy

Question Why won’t my buildings upgrade?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I don’t understand why all my buildings are stuck at level 4/6, whereas in my previous city (which was a total mess) and at a lower level, I was already able to have skyscrapers.

Assignments/Tasks P&C Industrial Item Tasks - 1st one all week!

Thumbnail

So, I've been playing in 3 accounts all week, and I was starting to think the devs had completely removed the specific industrial item P&C tasks, and then I finally got one! This is in my lvl 11 account, I still haven't seen any in my other accounts.

I have seen the task circled in image 2, but I am referring to the ones that specify an item for the task. The 1088 points for 128 any industrial item task is one that I would have generally avoided in my 2 main accounts due to low points - it used to be below 1k points. The 51 wood task on the other hand is about as choice of a task you can find to get on repeat all week - I know it was for around 2200 points before.

So how many of you have seen tasks like the one I had for wood?

And while we're here, how many items per P&C Shop task is everyone getting? Nearly every one I've had has been for between 3 and 6 items. I've had 3 tasks this week for >6 items, all 3 were for 9 items, and 2 of those were in 1 account.

One more note: This week is the first time in a long time my club hasn't hit Legendary chest by Sunday, and this may become the first week in over a year that we don't hit Legendary. How's everyone else's clubs doing with the club chest this week?

Question Redesigning the City!!

Hey, hello everybody.

I have played the SCBuildIt before but my city was not big. 2 days ago, I started fresh but my city layout is very inefficient. I want to rebuilt the city but even with a few number of houses, it feels very difficult to move them out, redesign, move them back etc. Is there an easy way to do it?

Design Challenge Do you re-use designs in DC?

Even when the theme is the same, I try to come up with something different. But I can certainly understand why you would re-use a design that wins. Smart!

Discussion Genuinely how did they think this was good

I truly do not understand how they thought this update was a net positive
I don’t even know how to express my frustration into words honestly
I feel like I am more than likely not the only person who used all the tasks passively to reap the benefits of the CoM while focusing more or less on the pass and making it worth the money spent
Like it’s been so detrimental to the degree that someone in my club who use to get nearly 400,000 n on a lucky week nearly 500,000 points is struggling to get nearly 300,000 n the ppl in league aren’t even at 100,000 at this point in the week I’d be at nearly 200,000 n yet the ppl on not aren’t even at 100,000 like cmon
Yes I am very well aware of the fact that I am lazy and don’t want to put in any extra effort to it. I acknowledge that but that is exactly the beauty of the old system being able to passively reap the benefits of either thing that you’re focusing on if you’re focusing on either it has to be the most EA thing ever

City Showcase Thinking of reshaping my whole City of 1.9M Population

I'm considering destroying the whole city and building a newer one with proper planning and in a much better way. What do you all suggest?

And Rate these current ones as well. Thought of installing the game today, it's been almost 2 years since I've last logged in. Can anyone suggest any new features which make it easier to destroy? Similar to Cities Skylines?

Discussion The End of "Camping" in SimCity BuildIt?

Post image
14 Upvotes

Since the latest update, the developers seem to have listened to the community, especially players who were struggling in the early stages of the game.

They had already tried different approaches, such as slightly adjusting service costs, but these changes didn't really solve the problem.

However, over the past few days, a new mechanic seems to have been introduced for new players.

To unlock the different residential building upgrade stages, from 1 to 6, you now seem to need to reach certain city levels first.

Here's a short list based on a test city I created to better understand this new mechanic:

City levels 1–4: Residential buildings are limited to stage 2.

City level 5: Stage 3 becomes available.

City levels 6–8: Residential buildings remain limited to stage 3.

City level 9: Stage 4 becomes available.

City levels 10–11: Residential buildings remain limited to stage 4.

City level 12 and above: Not tested yet.

These observations are based on my own testing, so we still need to confirm whether other conditions might affect residential upgrades.

I might be jumping to conclusions a little too quickly, but it looks like the "camping" strategy has changed.

It may no longer be possible to reach 80,000 population at very low city levels, as many older guides recommended, at least not using the same methods.

Looks like we'll have to rethink our strategies!

Your turn! 😄
