Looking for SAP MM Fresher End user role.....

I'm fairly new to SAP.

Last year I made a student account with my student mail id (xyz@university.org) as primary. It made me add a secondary backup ID so I added (personal1@gmail.com)

Now I've joined as a consultant in a company that gave me LH access through (name.surname@work.com). I am not able to add my personal ID (personal1@gmail.com) to this work account for backup because it is associated with my university account.

I googled and it said maybe because I only had 1 other account to my student Id, it won't allow me to unlink. If I added 1 more ID to student ID, I will be able to unlink my personal1 id.

Therefore, I added a 3rd account (personal2@gmail.com) to my university UID.

Now I'm still unable to see unlink option. So I endes up adding 1 more account and now cannot do anything about the 3 accounts. Turns out they disabled manual unlink in july, 2026. So I raised a chat support request for unlinking personal1@gmail.com from my xyz@university.org. the chat support crashed.

So I mailed them using the support mail.

By when can I expect a response? Is this an introduction to how customers are treated cuz if I owned the business, I would never implement such a tool.🤡

Has someone figured out how to do this without losing my mind? Should i add personal3@gmail.com as backup to work account until my personal1@gmail.com is getting unlinked?

Usually in form of master and customising data checks, if their relationships did not break.
Technically, smth like foreign keys checks or domain values checks are already in market.

But looking for questions the business asks, so they can be translated into queries.

I’m an SAP presales consultant, I’m curious as to how others may have found ways or things to build that can save a lot of time and are genuine game changers.

For instance some things I have done is created an automatic newsletter that provides me with my product releases, news, and any strategic changes happening to it. I’ve also used AI to assist with RFXs but did not find it useful, so I’m wondering what others may have done in this area!

The 2026 MQ for EA Tools is out. SAP LeanIX is furthest right and highest among the Leaders again, and the gap from the next cluster looks wider than last year. The other Leaders are Ardoq, Bizzdesign, Orbus, and BOC Group, same as 2025.

Using it day to day, the position makes sense. It handles non-architect adoption better than anything else we looked at, and the SAP integration is genuinely useful if you are running SAP broadly.

Where I think this is heading, for SAP customers specifically: the value of an EA tool is moving away from being a repository you log into and toward being the governance and decision layer underneath transformation work. A repository with dashboards is easy to stand up now. The harder part is ownership, accountability, and trusted data, which is exactly where the SAP integration helps if your landscape is SAP-heavy. The flip side is the one worth watching in a mixed environment: the deeper that integration goes, the more you want to be sure the tool stays useful for the non-SAP side of your estate.

Je travaille côté intégration SAP Business One. Pour préparer l’adoption, je trouve plus utile de partir d’un processus complet que d’une liste de nouveaux écrans.

Exemple : « les achats sont disponibles » ne répond pas encore à la question d’une équipe qui doit créer son document, joindre une pièce, déclencher une validation, gérer un refus, corriger puis éditer le résultat attendu.

Même chose pour les extensions : leur présence dans le client desktop ne suffit pas à conclure sur le parcours navigateur.

Je commencerais par un périmètre où l’on peut définir clairement le résultat attendu et les exceptions, puis faire tester les utilisateurs concernés. La consultation et l’analyse peuvent être un premier périmètre ; la saisie et les traitements suivent selon les dépendances de l’environnement.

Le critère de sortie serait simple : le processus peut-il être terminé avec les bons droits, les bonnes pièces et les bons contrôles ?

Pour ceux qui ont testé FP 2608, quel processus avez-vous réussi à utiliser entièrement dans le Web Client ? Et lesquels gardez-vous pour le moment dans le desktop ?

I’ve built a connector that reads ECC and S/4 configuration and custom code over RFC. It runs as a system user (no dialog logon) with a tight role:

• S_RFC limited to about 15 standard function modules (RFC_READ_TABLE, RPY_PROGRAM_READ, DDIF_FIELDINFO_GET…)
• S_TABU_NAM with every table listed by name
• display only: no S_TABU_DIS, no wildcards, nothing that writes or runs code

It works on our test systems. What I can’t judge is whether it would pass a real security review, especially since SAP says RFC_READ_TABLE isn’t supported for productive use.

The two alternatives I know of:

• an ABAP report the client runs themselves, which produces a file they check before sending it
• our own read-only function modules, imported as a transport

In your experience, which of the three gets approved fastest, and which gets refused outright? And who usually signs it off: the SAP team, security/GRC, or the integrator?

Hallo zusammen,

Ich arbeite aktuell in der Produktionskoordination eines Sondermaschinenbauers (Mittelstand). Wir bauen Einzelanlagen mit viel Zukauf, deshalb müssen wir die Montage oft starten, bevor alle Teile da sind. Die fehlenden Teile laufen dann nach (= Fehlteile).

Wir arbeiten mit SAP, das ist unser Hauptwerkzeug.

Das Problem: Die Infos zu Fehlteilen laufen bei uns über mehrere Kanäle. Im ersten Schritt geht eine wöchentliche Mail vom Einkauf an die Logistik und an zwei Kollegen aus der Produktion (ein Auszug aus dem SAP über eine eigene Z-Transaktion). Im Anschluss erstellt die Logistik ein separates Ticket und prüft die Fehlteile anhand der MD04 nochmal von A bis Z. Erst dann bekommt die Fertigung die Tickets mit den Artikeln, die zu spät dran sind, und kann die technische Bewertung vornehmen (wie wichtig das Teil für das Projekt ist). Dazu kommt noch eine tägliche Shopfloor-Runde mit sehr vielen Beteiligten. Das führt aktuell zu Doppelarbeit, veralteten Ständen und Runden, in denen viel besprochen, aber letztendlich wenig bewirkt wird.

Mich würde deshalb wirklich interessieren, wie ihr das Thema bei euch im Unternehmen löst:

-> wie organisiert ihr euer „Fehlteilemanagement?“

-> Habt ihr eine zentrale, führende Fehlteilliste? Wenn ja, in welchem Tool?
-> Wie priorisiert ihr, welche Teile wirklich kritisch sind?
-> Wie haltet ihr den Shopfloor kurz und entscheidungsorientiert?
-> Gibt es SAP-Transaktionen, die übersichtlicher sind und zu mehr Effizienz führen?
-> Sollte nicht eher die Fertigung dem Einkauf Bescheid geben?

As a supplier, when I used to search for POs from the Home page, we would be brought to a second screen that looks like the first image, but it seems that SAP has done an update and now when searching from the same place, we are redirected to this gross and not entirely user friendly screen (second image).

Is there any way that people are aware of to change this back the beautiful page that once graced our screens?

In Hana cloud db instance, the schemas from other subaccounts mapped to the hana cloud db instance never show the schema-source subaccount mapping.

Then how to track the consumption of hana cloud db instance based on subaccounts?

I encountered an issue in SAP transaction MIGO where the Item Overview grid was missing for one user. The affected user was RATIL in the CYQ system.

The interesting part was that other users could see the Item Overview grid without any problems. I also tested the affected user on a different workstation, and the issue remained.

This showed that the problem was related to the user rather than a specific computer.

Troubleshooting Steps Performed

1. Reproduced the Issue

I logged in using User ID RATIL and opened transaction MIGO. The Item Overview grid was missing.

I then compared the result with another user in the same system. The other user could see the grid correctly.

2. Tested on a Different Workstation

I tested the affected user on another computer. The same problem occurred.

This helped rule out a problem limited to the original workstation.

3. Removed MIGO Personalization Settings

I removed the MIGO-related user settings stored in table ESDUS.

These settings can store information about how MIGO is displayed for a user. I removed the entries related to the header, details, tree, first line, and other display options.

However, the problem remained.

4. Cleared ALV Buffers

I executed program BALVBUFDEL to clear ALV buffers.

ALV is an SAP tool used to display data in tables and grids. Clearing its buffers was part of the investigation to check whether cached display information was causing the problem.

The Item Overview grid was still missing.

5. Checked User Parameters

I reviewed the user's settings in SU3 and checked table USR05 for user-specific parameters.

No MIGO-related parameters were found that could explain the issue.

6. Checked ALV Layout Variants

I checked tables LTDX and LTDXT for saved ALV layouts related to SAPLMIGO.

No layout entries associated with User ID RATIL were found.

This made a saved ALV layout a less likely cause of the problem.

7. Checked Authorization

I compared the affected user's settings with those of a working user.

I also assigned additional ALV layout authorization, S_ALV_LAYR, for testing. However, the issue remained.

This suggested that the problem was not solved by changing this authorization.

8. Performed Debugging

I performed debugging checks to investigate why the Item Overview grid was not displayed.

The expected ALV Grid was still not visible, even during the investigation of the display process.

Further debugging is needed to determine whether the grid is created correctly but remains invisible, or whether the problem occurs during the creation of the grid or its display container.

Current Findings

After completing these tests, the issue remained limited to User ID RATIL.

The following points were confirmed:

Other users in CYQ could display the Item Overview grid.

The issue followed RATIL to a different workstation.

Removing the known MIGO personalization entries did not solve the problem.

Clearing ALV buffers did not solve the problem.

No relevant user parameters or saved ALV layout variants were found.

Additional ALV layout authorization did not solve the problem.

Debugging did not yet identify the exact reason why the grid was invisible.

Conclusion and Next Steps

The investigation has ruled out several common causes, but the root cause has not yet been identified.

The next step is to compare the affected user with a working user during the MIGO grid initialization process. This should help determine whether the problem is related to the ALV Grid object, its display container, or SAP GUI control behavior.

For now, the issue appears to be user-specific, but further investigation is required before confirming the exact cause.

This case highlights the importance of comparing affected and working users, testing across different workstations, and using debugging to investigate SAP display issues rather than repeatedly changing user settings without clear evidence.

My guess is that most of the pain in an ECC to S/4 conversion isn't the technical move itself. It's the stuff that should've been sorted out in ECC first. Asset values that don't tie to the GL, old open items nobody wanted to look at for years.

Business Partner is the one I'd expect to bite hardest. CVI has to be done before the conversion anyway, but the real work is probably the customer and vendor data behind it. Duplicates, missing fields, records nobody has touched in ages.

Archiving is the other one I wonder about, and whether skipping it actually shows up as longer downtime in the test runs.

So for those who've been through one, which bit would you start earlier if you did it again? And did the business own that cleanup or did it end up on the project team?
