General Discussion Small shop in Spain: how do you get reseller access to Retroid, Anbernic and AYN?

I'm setting up a small online shop in Spain (launching in 2027) for handhelds sold set up and ready to use: emulators and frontend configured, controls mapped, updates done. No ROMs, BIOS or games of any kind: buyers bring the games they legally own. Support in Spanish and the legal warranty handled locally.

So far I'm only in touch with AYANEO, who answered quickly. For Retroid, Anbernic and AYN I can't find the right contact: I've emailed them and asked on their Discords, but those channels seem to be customer support only.

Has anyone here dealt with them as a reseller, or does anyone know if they have an official EU distributor or a B2B contact?

Not selling anything here and no links, just looking for the right door to knock on. Thanks!

General Discussion what did custom firmware actually make worse for you

the guides all frame cfw as free upgrades, and i believed it for years. the last device i flashed got a cleaner menu and lost a sleep mode that had worked out of the box, and i spent a weekend getting back to where i started. now i only flash when something is genuinely broken. what was the trade you ended up regretting

Device Recommendation Switch OLED Cracked vs Odin2 Portal

I want to go down the route of emulation for indie games and retro games. I want to get an Odin2 Portal or an RP6 (I like the Odin more, but the 12 GB of RAM is enticing), but considering I have a Switch OLED, should I just get a chip installed in it and use it as an emulator?

Device Recommendation Please help me choosing the right device and installation

Hello Retro Fans :)

I am very new to Emulation etc. and I am an owner of a Claw 8 AI+ but I want to buy a new device for emulating with an OLED-Display, if possible not too small.

I want to play up to PS3 Games, the very older systems like NES etc. isn't so important for me.

Which device would you choose in my case (up to max. 600 Euro)?

The Retroid Pocket 6 looks very nice, the AYN Odin 3 too (but I think it could be too expensive maybe), and some Anbernic Models looks nice too.

The second thing is the installation:

After reading a few hours I tried to install Retroarch on my Claw 8 and it finally works.

What would you recommend to instalI (on a Retroid Pocket 6 for example) to really have fun with it?

Is there something pre-installed on this Retro-Handhelds like the needed Emulators or maybe some Games?

I am very thankful for your help

Thank you very very much

Best wishes :)

Device Recommendation Should I keep my RP Mini V2 or trade up? + game recommendations

Hey everyone! I recently picked up a Retroid Pocket Mini V2, and I honestly love the device itself. The build quality, glass front, screen, size, and overall feel are awesome. I really like how pocketable it is, and I love the original Mini design.
My problem is that I’m struggling to find games that really suit it, and I’ve started wondering whether I should keep it or trade it toward something else.
My current setup is an RP Mini V2, a Legion Go for PC gaming, a Miyoo Mini Plus for simpler retro stuff, and a couple of DS/3DS systems. I’m trying to figure out what role the Mini should fill without having too much overlap between my devices.
I’ve been looking at potential upgrades, particularly the RP Nova, RP6, Flip 2, and possibly other handhelds. The Nova interests me because of its larger screen and the possibility of being a better fit for GameCube, PS2, Android, and widescreen games. However, I’m not sure whether it would be worth trading my Mini for one, especially since I genuinely like the Mini’s size and design.
I also have a Legion Go, which I love for PC gaming, but sometimes I wish I had something smaller and more convenient for quick sessions. I like games that I can jump into without committing hours at a time, so I’m interested in whether there are good ways to play Steam games on a smaller handheld. I’ve considered streaming from my Legion Go, but I’m also curious about Android ports, game streaming options, and what games actually work well on the Mini itself.
Longer term, I love the idea of a smaller “Legion Mini” or Steam Deck Mini, but I don’t know whether it makes sense to wait for something like that when it might not happen anytime soon.
I’d love some advice on a few things:
Game recommendations: What games would you recommend for the RP Mini V2? I like games that are fun to pick up and play without requiring a huge time commitment. I’m interested in GBA, PS1, DS, some GameCube/PS2, and Android games. I’d especially appreciate games that feel great on a small screen.
Steam and PC games: What Steam games work particularly well for short sessions on a handheld? Are there any good options for streaming games from my Legion Go to the Mini, or Android games that scratch that same itch?
Keep or trade? Would you keep the Mini or trade it toward something like the Nova or RP6? I don’t want to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading.
Is the Nova worth considering? Would its bigger screen and extra room for widescreen games make a meaningful difference, or would it overlap too much with my Legion Go?
Wait for a smaller PC handheld? Is it worth holding out for a genuinely compact PC handheld, or should I just enjoy the devices I already have?
I’m not trying to collect handhelds endlessly or spend a ton more money. I just want to find games I’ll actually enjoy and figure out which device makes the most sense for me.
Thanks!

General Discussion what do you check first on a used handheld before money changes hands

picked up a couple of used ones lately and my routine has gotten pretty boring. stick drift in the system menu, tilt the screen for light bleed. battery is the one that actually scares me, a puffy back cover and i walk away from the deal. what do you check before money changes hands
