News TSG's Resident Evil Marathon for ZERO Prostate Cancer — Win Original Art from Nick Apostolides
tiltify.comUPDATE: We’re live with day 2!
Hi, everyone!
TSG is excited to be hosting our annual Halloween event this weekend: a 72-hour Resident Evil Marathon for ZERO Prostate Cancer! Since 2008, TSG had raised nearly one million dollars for a variety of charities and organizations, and we’re thrilled to be working with ZERO for this event.
Additionally, Capcom has been gracious enough to provide prizes to be raffled and auctioned during the event, including two original art pieces from Nick Apostolides, the voice of Leon Kennedy.
The event takes place beginning at 6pm ET on Friday, October 9, and it will kick off with Resident Evil 2. The event runs through Monday, October 12, ending at 7pm ET. The auction for Nick’s items will take place Sunday evening, and raffles with prizes from Capcom occur throughout.
We hope you join us this weekend at Twitch.tv/tsgtv!

Discussion Why does Village rarely ever come up in conversations? It feels like people kinda moved on from this game specifically.

Photo/Picture Finished RE 2 (og) for the first time
I randomly came across my old PS Vita while packing up my stuff for university. I hadn’t used it in years, so I decided to charge it up and check out some of my old games. One of them happened to be the original Resident Evil 2.
I’d always heard people on TikTok say that the og RE games had aged horribly, mainly because of the tank controls and fixed camera angles. Funny enough, a lot of those complaints seem to come from people who never even touched the franchise.
But when I actually played it, I was genuinely amazed by how well it held up. Ngl, I ended up enjoying it more than the remake.
I’ll admit that the controls took a little getting used to, but once I got the hang of them, they really weren’t that bad. And honestly, there’s no better feeling than successfully running past a zombie without getting grabbed.
After finishing the original, I also couldn’t help but feel that the remake cut some corners, especially when it came to the sewers. They felt a lot emptier compared to the original, which surprised me.
TL;DR: The original Resident Evil 2 is still an amazing game, even for someone who didn’t grow up with those games. And thx dad for getting me that Vita all those years ago.

Discussion Hey guys, I was curious on something. Forgive me if it’s been asked before but aside from the games he’s featured in, which Resident Evil games do you think Ethan would be able to survive in?

Discussion As someone who unfortunately missed out on getting the RE Collector's Editions when they were released, is there anywhere to get them now in good condition and cheaper than eBay prices?

Question Does anyone know a website that compiles Revelations 2 secret files?
Just finished Revelations 2 and would love to read the files, unfortunately I don't have the time to unlock them myself. RE Wiki seems to have them but they're not organized so I couldn't tell which one is which. Or if anyone knows what each of the 12 files are called, so I can look them up manually on the wiki, thanks.

Discussion Relationships Spoiler
Does anyone else like to imagine offscreen that some of the characters have been hooking up for years? I mean, you got the obvious options of Chris and Jill, or Leon and Claire, or Leon and Ada (I'm actually not sure which one I root for with Leon), but does anyone actually believe it to be true?
Personally, I do. I mean, we never fully see what all happens to these guys in their personal lives, so maybe offscreen they decided to let the obvious tension between them build up and become something better.
Lately, I've even been imagining that Chris and Jill got together not too long after the first 3 games and have been together for years offscreen. (Hell, Chris's devastation over the loss of her in 5 seems VERY much like a man grieving his wife). They've probably even got kids finishing high school/starting college by now (though, I can see why people wouldn't want to think that so they can keep up with the "Chris needs to preserve the Redfield bloodline" jokes lol).
Plus, in the good ending for Requiem, we can even see Leon visibly putting a ring back on after he's done with his latest mission, and people are still throwing out their theories of either Claire or Ada (or Ashley or Sherry. Gross). So clearly he's made the move to find happiness between all the crazy bullshit the games and animated movies put him through.
So what do you guys think? Who do you guys think is paired up with someone in the series, but we just don't visibly see it in the games/movies?

Discussion Difference between the A and B scenarios? Spoiler
Just finished Resident Evil 2 and it was awesome! (I do think the rankings were a little harsh though, like cmon, I was pretty fast...) I was told to play Claire A Leon B so I did. I was about to boot up RE3 but I was wondering if there were any big story differences between Leon A and Leon B and Claire A and Claire B scenarios? I tried looking it up online but no matter what I just end up finding info about the remake and not the original game. Would be cool if anyone knows, thanks!

Discussion REV1's story was ok, but It was funny seeing Chris & Jill surrounded by the goofiest and Most cartoonish cast in the series.
REV1 is up there with code veronica and RE4 for how goofy the story can get.
plus its interesting seeing how this was Koshi Nakanishi (director of RE7 and RE9) first game that he lead. Its so tonally different from everything he has done, but I could see hints of similar storytelling and presentation.
