I'm looking for voice actors to be in a 5 minute anime reenactment. Message me for details and if you are interested.

Hey everyone!

I'm currently developing a small indie game called Unemployed, a dark comedy unemployment simulator built in Unreal Engine 5, with a PS1-inspired art style. I'm the sole developer, and I'm hoping to release the game on Steam.

I'm looking for a female voice actress to voice a character called Diamond, who hosts the game's wardrobe/dress-up screen. She helps the player pick outfits, explains some mechanics and occasionally makes fun of their fashion choices.

For her personality, I'm going for something reminiscent of Y2K and Bratz dolls. She's bubbly, energetic, a little sassy and occasionally passive-aggressive. Ideally, I'd love a Valley Girl accent, with that early 2000s mean-girl energy. She's not supposed to be outright mean, though, more like someone who's genuinely enthusiastic but a little judgemental without realising it.

There's currently 31 lines, totalling around 272 words. Most of these are short reactions, with a handful of slightly longer tutorial lines.

As this is a solo indie project, I don't have much of a budget, so I'm primarily looking for someone who'd be interested in contributing for fun or to build their portfolio. Of course, you'll be fully credited in the game, and you're welcome to use the work in your own portfolio or demo reel. If everything goes well, I'd also be happy to discuss a small payment as a thank-you for your time and effort.

I can share some WIP screenshots and gameplay footage of the game, along with the full script, if anyone's interested and wants to get a better idea of what they're contributing to.

I'm not too particular about having professional equipment or anything like that, as long as the audio is reasonably clean. I'm also happy for you to put your own spin on the character!

If you're interested, feel free to leave a comment or send me a DM with a sample of your voice or any previous work.

Thanks for reading!

hi everyone! i’m a college student and i’m desperately looking for someone who’d be willing to help me with a voice recording tomorrow morning 😭
for context, i originally did a mock interview with a friend for my psychology class, but we had a falling out and they ended up deleting the recording. unfortunately, they were the one recording it, so i no longer have a copy.
i still have all 10 questions and most of the original answers written down, so i’ve put together a full script based on our conversation.
the interview is about the Black experience, racial identity, stereotypes, and mental health. i’m preferably looking for a Black adult who’d feel comfortable reading the interviewee’s responses while i ask the questions.
it would be a live voice call over Zoom or Discord tomorrow morning and should take around 40 minutes. you wouldn’t have to come up with anything yourself since the entire script is already prepared!
this would be a reenactment of the original mock interview, not a new interview. i’m just hoping to find someone willing to help me record it, with permission from everyone involved.
i know this is super last minute, especially since my assignment is due tomorrow night, but i’d genuinely appreciate the help!! please comment or message me if you’re interested. thank you so much! 🥹

Can we not insist that there is some description of what people are looking for:

Male/female young/old. Etc. just the bare minimum.

What’s the point of (a) requesting and (b) answering with no idea what’s being asked for?

I don’t need a script, not even a character name or description- just give some sort of clue…

A relaxed, playful, slightly raspy or dry delivery, with a mischievous attitude and a knack for sarcastic remarks. Jester should sound amused by the chaos around him—even when he's partly responsible for it.

Audition lines

1. Casual and curious "What's there today, boss?"

2. Mischievous and smug "HA! NOW HE IS A CANDY!"

3. Casual, with a comedic pause "Hold on..."
