Ghoulies 2 trailer

I remember playing street fighter 2 and mortal combat after I got a SoBe ice tea...

I’m sure I’m missing some…I can’t remember.

Pour yourself a giant bowl of sugary cereal and drag a blanket over to the floor in front of the TV, because today we are paying tribute to the unhinged marketing masterpieces that ran between our favorite cartoons: Saturday Morning Commercial Blocks.

Whether it was watching a tiny toy car do looping stunts it could never pull off on your living room carpet, or being hypnotized by a cartoon mascot trying to protect their breakfast cereal, those 30-second clips shaped our entire childhood wish lists.

Let’s unlock some core memories today:

1. What was the one toy commercial that absolutely convinced you your life would be incomplete without it? (Think legends like Crossfire, My Buddy, Micro Machines, or Skip-It).
2. Which sugary cereal commercial mascot was your favorite? Were you rooting for the Trix Rabbit, Cookie Jarvis, or the Cap'n?
3. What commercial block jingle or PSA is permanently hardcoded into your brain? (Shout out to Schoolhouse Rock!, Time for Timer and his hunk of cheese, or the Scruff McGruffpuppet).

Mine was Nes with Super Mario 2 or the OG castlevania trilogy

1. H. R. Pufnstuf

2. The Banana Splits

3. Sigmund and the Sea Monsters

4. Land of the Lost

Is it wrong to be so excited that Rocky is coming to a theater near me for Halloween?!?! I’m going to have to practice my Janet scream… it’s been 30 years! Who else went to midnight showings and maybe sometimes snuck out to do it? 🙋‍♀️

Mowed lawns for this.

Mine was definitely The Hillbilly Bears.

Such a great song.. loved rockin out to Huey Lewis and the news

Loved the Iron Sheik and Andre 🖤

Capt Lou reminded me of my uncle Bob with rubberbands 😂
