Welcome to episode 110 of the discussion and survey series, "RWBY Reacts To The RWBY Multiverse," FNDM!

For today's visit to our multiversal theater and museum, the heroes and villains of Remnant Prime (canon RWBY) will be examining a section of the RWBY Multiverse that was actually created through a collaborative effort between two members of the FNDM.

This AU is known as "RWBY: Syndicate". The initial concept was first created by FNDM member "Eryx45" on Twitter/X in the form of fan art. Originally there was no written story to accompany this art, until FNDM member "MrMagma" came across the project. Through their collaborative efforts, there is now a multi-chapter story (still a WIP) accompanying Eryx45's amazing artwork (I, personally, hope many other fanfic authors in the RWBY FNDM will also try their hand at bringing this AU to life with their own spin on it!).

For a brief summary, RWBY: Syndicate depicts Remnant as a city trapped in a dark, post-apocalyptic AU, and governed by four families: The Starqs, the Schnees, the White Fang, and the Coven. In some ways, it can be seen as a RWBY version of the iconic 1972 movie, "The Godfather".

What do you members of the FNDM think the reactions and opinions of the Prime!RWBY characters will be to this intense and intriguing AU with its mafia-esque versions of themselves? As always, please be respectful when posting your replies.

It's been MONTHS since we got the Volume 10 green light announcement, do you think we'll be getting another update soon?

Ruby's birthday is at the end of the month (10/31) so it would be a good day to give us something.

I don't need much and would be happy with just about anything. That said, I would really like to know who is going to animate it.

What would you all like to hear if we get an update?

This one’s probably not so much of a crackship (But for title purposes, I’ll still call it that), cause I don’t know how popular or rare this ship is. Lemme know if that’s the case or not.

But yeah, inspired by JumJamz RWBY AU, I actually kinda like this ship. And I think I speak for everyone hete when I said there should be a Men x Men ship in RWBY. (I know Scarlet from Team SSSN and Nolan from Team BRNZ are confirmed in a relationship, but that’s only off-screen and on the books last time I checked).

Anyways, what do you think of this ship? And if this ship were to happen, how would you all envision it and write? Lemme know what your thoughts are in the comments and I wish all of you a happy Halloween…..When it gets there 😅

So the squad can’t proceed through the barricade because Robyn and her Happy Huntresses are there. Also I don’t know who the little Faunus is but she looks so cute (I don’t mean that in an offensive way 😅😅), I mean just look at her 😇. I don’t know their names outside of Robyn but I like everyone’s designs.

Anyway Clover tries to do the talking as if there’s nothing suspicious going on but Robyn has been all over and is very weary of Ironwood’s intentions with the Tower. Especially if this may intervene with her plans to make things better for Mantle.

Now she is fighting for a spot in the council, and I feel like she’s got good intentions. Though you didn’t have to call out on Penny like that. She’s doing the best she can of the orders she’s given. I’d still take her over Jacque as part of the council any day, at least she has a heart. Though what exactly is their Semblance’s? That’s my big question because her other two teammates were invisible the entire time.

She caves in and lets them pass (at they parted on mutual terms) as Clover wishes her luck in the ongoing election. But it won’t stop her from getting to the bottom of what’s really going on.

We cut to Weiss and Winter training with their summons. Weiss has definitely improved a lot since they last saw each other, not just in her abilities but also as a person. Sure she still has her Ice Queen moments but it feels more endearing. Again as I mentioned in another post that even her outfit feels like her most mature look.

There are some things on her mind, about how the kingdom is in a worst state than it has ever been, and how they should open to assist instead of hide. Truthfully knowing that this kingdom hasn’t had the best reputation, I can see why. There’s a line that Winter says that I find very interesting:

Winter: “I know the General hasn't done everything perfectly, but he's doing what he thinks is right.”

Honestly that line alone perfectly describes the approach some of the characters have taken. They’re good people who wants to do what they can to protect people from harms way. Sure despite their good intentions you could argue some of the choices they’re making but at the end of the day, if you’re cornered with little to no options and no one to give you a real plan on what to do, you’re gonna make difficult decisions that not everyone would agree with but you believe it’s the best course of action.

Then to prove to Weiss that Ironwood doesn’t keep secrets from her, Winter takes her down to a very secured area where we see The Winter Maiden (Now I understand what they meant in the previous episode). It appears she doesn’t have much time left. And because Winter is the only one who’s allowed to see her, Ironwood has her to be the next Winter Maiden.

So I had a little theory that their mom was the Winter Maiden but I guess I was not far off 😅. But seriously? Cinder Fall? Winter Schnee? I’m calling it now, Summer Rose is the Summer Maiden 😂. And if I’m wrong, then let me be struck by….

Also am I the only one getting massive Déjà vu from this talk about destiny between the two sisters. I pray to god this isn’t a bad omen. Like I like that Winter is making this feel like this is less of someone forcing this determined fate onto her and instead is making it her own. Like that’s a nice way to look at it. I just hope it means she’s gonna potentially die because of it 😭.

Like I don’t think my heart could take watching a character I’ve grown to love and appreciate get axed off again. Penny is all good, I don’t believe they would try to kill her off twice. They nearly killed Weiss so I don’t think she’s gonna have another near death experience. I don’t know why I’m worried so much because I get this sinking feeling that someone is gonna croak by the end of this arc and I don’t know who it is 😭.

Depressing thoughts aside 😅, sorry I had to break this into two parts. I had more to say than I thought lol. Anyway stay tuned as next episode, we get introduced to the most terrifying thing in the series:

Hi everybody! I'm both a huge RWBY fan and a great Empyrean fan, and I've been thinking, what kind of dragons do you think the team would get?

I definitely think Yang's getting an orange clubtail, and Ren would impress a green scorpiontail. Weiss might get a blue, but what kind do y'all think Blake would bond?

Just looking to discuss for fun.

Had these in a cabinet for years, got a little scuffed in a moved a while back annoyingly. Tried to find them on eBay. Only found Blake so far. Wasn't sure if there was a better place to find a value for these. Thet're still sealed from purchase.

Hello everyone, I have an extra Ruby and Yang and wanted to offer a trade for a Brand New Sealed Weiss and Blake Vinyl. If anyone is offering to trade and doesn't have the Ruby and Yang, or just wants to have them while trading.

I’m just saying it for a laugh, though, as I understand it, Velvet is a hare and Springtrap is a rabbit. Still, it would lead to what I mentioned... "Velvet-Trap," hee hee hee hee hee hee. Here's a wild question, how do you think every dust type effect ammunition? Like how does fire dust effects bullets as opposed to lightning. I really like dust as a concept, but modern RWBY more or less, abandoned this concept. So what do you think?

The original idea was for Ren to blame Jaune for Pyrrha’s death here, but they exchanged it for the fake transcripts since it was a step too far (which I agree on)

But how would you react if they kept their original idea?
