My sweethearts aren't even a year old and are very energetic. I place them on my desk (which is beside tbeir cage) whilst I clean their cage. Yesterday Oak (white) had chewed my headphones 🥹. Where do I put them if nobody else can entertain them whilst I quickly clean? (Oak is fine)

So, I think many of us women know the problem: The soft bras have these foam pads that are not sewed in. Therefore they always get twisted or even come out of the designated hole and it takes 5 minutes per boob-side to put those things in and fix it.

I just stocked up on new soft bras in September, and after the initial washing I was facing the good old problem of trying to fix those foam pads in around 8 new bras. After the first one I was like " you know what, fuck this shit". And I took out all the foam pads and put them into the hides in the cage.

I'm telling you, it's a success: I don't have to deal with those pads anymore and the rattatas love their new mattresses/blankets😂😂

I think, this is the one and only rational purpose of those annoying things😅

Like sometimes I look at them (to be fair like 99% of the time when I look at them) and i feel like a proud dad 🥹 I'm literally working on getting their "school" pictures up on my wall atm.

Since rats seem to be more of an unconventional pet choice than, say, dogs or cats (people seem genuinely surprised when they hear I have pet rats!), I’m curious when/under what circumstances all of you decided to start keeping pet rats!! What made you decide on rats as opposed to, for example, guinea pigs or some other, more common pet?

She was running under the couch, and it is not safe for her to be under there (holes in the wall she could sneak into etc) and I grabbed her, but her tail was all I caught. I gently gently pulled her about an inch backwards and then grabbed her body. She is acting completely normal but I just feel terrible. I know it can hurt them to have their tails tugged at all and I just feel so mean. But if she got lost in the walls or stuck under the couch I can only imagine all the terrible things that might have happened. Has anyone had to do this before? Next time should I just let her crawl under and hope she finds her way out?

This young rat was found in someone’s yard and I decided to take him in to join my other two rats. He is constantly falling to the left side. He has been rescued for about 3 weeks and only in the past 2 days has this been noticed. Took him to the vet and they said there are no signs of ear or respiratory infections. He is otherwise very healthy and acting normal. He is on antibiotics for two weeks, just in case, and continues to be in quarantine. They thought it could be head trauma or a tumor, if not an infection. Has anyone seen this in their rat? Maybe he has a neurological disorder ?
