Discussions About Procreate App Is there any talk of procreate being expanded to other devices besides apple?

At this rate Procreate is the only reason I’m Loyal to apple. I hate it here. The updates just ruin it, there’s so little iCloud space without paying the damn subscription, I’m YEARNING for a Samsung tablet. But Samsung only has ClipStudio, which I hate almost as much as the latest IOS update.

To put it politely, when can I throw my iPad at the nearest device exchange store?

Discussions About Procreate App About the procreate pocket update…

This update may have genuinely ruined the app for me. Procreate pocket has been with me for most of my art journey at this point. There are so many things wrong with the update. The only positive thing I have to say is that the brush updates are nice. in terms of minor complaints, the ui feels bloated and there are many points where you have to swipe up for more options that in the previous update would’ve just been there. Also, when you undo, the notification covers up the buttons so you have to wait for it to disappear in order for you to switch tools. On a more extreme note, the bucket feature straight up doesn’t work anymore. Aside from being incredibly laggy, it does not fill anywhere near as well as it used to. It’s honestly embarrassing. The select tool also lags constantly. Genuinely it can take seconds for it to work. It could just be because of my phone not being very nice, but I thought that was who pocket was for. I thought it was for people who couldn’t afford buying an iPad for art. My phone didn’t feel that bad last update. This is genuinely so upsetting. I may not have a way to draw anymore without it being incredibly uncomfortable or ad ridden.
sorry if this post is sloppy. I don’t use Reddit a lot. I’m sort of just getting my opinions out.

What is with programs trying to fix things that aren’t broken? (Ex the Liquid Glass update for iPhone) All of my brushes are deleted, and now I have to relearn the app in the middle of a commission. Does anyone know how to fix it somehow? I’m on a phone

Always save your brushes in your files 🫩

I need Procreate technical help Is there a way to texture fill on iPad app?

Post image

I would have loved to add some shading to Dhalsim’s skin, but I didn’t have time to manually sketch it in. Alternatively, can you fill using a different opacity or contrast from the rest of the layer? I suppose I could just make a separate layer for every object that has different shading, but that sounds like a pain…

Discussions About Procreate App Why can’t we pin things??

Would REALLY love to be able to pin an image in a “pile” so it’s always on top, so when I look at them, it’s easier to see. Like the front page of a book…

This new layout is horrendous. I have two major school projects and a commission I’m working on and I don’t know what to do. This will take me SO long to figure out. It’s genuinely awful

Discussions About Procreate App Is there a way to maintain colour shade while turning the opacity of a layer down?

Exactly what the title says. I’m wondering if I can keep the shade of the colour I’ve put down while turning the opacity of the layer down without having to mess around with HSB for it to still not be correct.
Thanks!

I need Procreate technical help Large scale artwork

Would love some help/advice: I need to create a 10ft x 10ft illustration for a backdrop. I always work in Procreate, but obviously that size is too large to print in 300dpi. I’ve never worked this large before - how should I go about this? Thanks!

Discussions About Procreate App What’s one Procreate feature that completely changed how you approach drawing?

I feel like Procreate has so many tools that it's easy to stick with the same brushes and workflow for months without realizing how much more you could do with it.

Sometimes a small discovery can make a surprisingly big difference, whether it's using clipping masks for cleaner shading, experimenting with blend modes, learning better ways to select and transform parts of a sketch, or finding a brush that changes how you approach texture.

I'm especially interested in features that improve the actual drawing process rather than just adding effects at the end.

What's one Procreate tool, shortcut, or technique that genuinely improved your art workflow? It could be something obvious to experienced artists but that took you a while to discover, or a lesser-known trick you think more people should try.

Discussions About Procreate App A simple habit that can save you from losing hours of work in Procreate

Before making major changes to a drawing, duplicate the canvas and keep one copy untouched.

This is especially useful before resizing artwork, merging layers, experimenting with major color changes, or trying a new technique that might be difficult to reverse later. Even if the undo history is usually reliable, it isn't a substitute for keeping a clean backup of a project.

It's easy to get caught up in the drawing process and forget that a single canvas can represent hours of work. Having an untouched version makes experimenting less stressful and gives you the freedom to try things without worrying about ruining the original.

A tiny workflow habit, but a worthwhile one for anyone working on detailed illustrations.
