Had a blast at the 2026 Halloweird event. Lots of free samples, free dab and bong rips, free beer garden and plenty of great food. Hope to see some of you there next year 💋

You don't see a sativa-hybrid strain like Nigerian Silver, a cross of a Nigerian landrace strain and Amnesia Haze, on Portland’s recreational market every day.
That’s why, as soon as I saw it pop on The Dime Stores menu, a small dispensary located on N. Lombard Street in North Portland, I knew I had to scope it out. This time on Red Eye Files, I’ll be reviewing 10 grams of Nigerian Silver that was grown by KMB Farms, a family-owned farm based in North Plains, Oregon.
I’ll judge this flower based on how it smells, tastes, and how it makes me feel. I will be consuming this flower in my Arizer Solo 2 dry-herb vape that’s connected to my bong.
According to the lab result provided by SC Labs, this flower tests at 30% THC. Additionally, this flower was harvested on Sept. 1st of this year, making it some fresh bud for this Croptober.
Scent: I fell in love with how this strain smells. It reeks of skunks doused in gasoline that were set loose into a spice factory. Truly some funky-smelling bud.
Taste: This bud tastes gassy, yet earthy like dry pine needles and forest floor. Makes me think of Northern California for some reason.
High: The high was very focused but relaxing. Each bowl in my Arizer Solo 2 made me high for about 45 minutes, which is longer than normal. This strain allowed me to write this article without any stress.
Final Thoughts: I really like this strain; it’s energetic, which makes me feel productive, but at the same time it’s very relaxing and uplifting. It’s quite unique, in my opinion. But before we wrap this article up, I really want to talk about what makes this flower unique.
For starters, it’s a very distinct cross of two older strains you don’t see very often, especially the Nigerian Landrace genetics. KMB Farms took a rare sativa landrace and crossed it with Amnesia Haze, an old-school Dutch sativa-hybrid comprised of Thai, Cambodian, Laotian, Jamaican, and Hawaiian genetics.
I find it amazing that you can genetically pack those wide sativa varieties into one strain and have it be balanced. It’s not as speedy as some sativas I’ve had in the past. It’s just right.

Has anyone completed their harvest this year yet? Or too early? Or still in process?

I’m looking for something I can squirt/squeeze/drop into a soda water when I’m out and about. I remember years ago that Select (I know, I know) had squeeze bottle that were flavored.
A powdered drink mix maybe? A tincture that has a metered doser? I don’t want to carry a big old 100mg syrup around and measure it out at a bar.

I cannot for the life of me find the lineage of this strain and it’s driving me crazy! Smokes insanely smooth. The nose is sweet and floral, notes of rose and lavender poke through as well as maple. The taste is way more mild than the nose! It’s sweet, but borderline woody like the smell of tree bark and super faint notes of black pepper. I genuinely cannot figure out what the cross may be AT ALL. If any of you could lend a hand, I would greatly appreciate it! 🙏

Every once in a while Farmer’s Friend just completely knocks it out of the park. This was one of those times. I have never had a concentrate that is this flavor-accurate to the flower it came from. Tastes exactly like the Herbal Dynamics Ice Cream Cake it came from.

I think Lofty and Evan's creek are the best vendors you can get your hands on in the P. Archive pretty consistently has them in stock , as well as some other places like treehouse collective . Have you had a similar experience? Who do you think is the best?

Title pretty much says it all. I would love to know where they stock brands like Archive and Dammit Bobby and also would to hear who is producing truly top shelf and unique strains. I found some interesting stuff and Zion and thinking about going there so far.

Is anyone trying to sell a rosin press they are no longer using? Thought I’d try here before buying new. Thanks!

It’s my first time growing and could use a more experienced eye than mine. Buds seem yummy from a consumer perspective and the leaves look pretty cooked. What do y’all think? Give them another week of this nice growing weather or harvest?
Thanks in advance for the help!
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this plant started flowering very early in August if not late July. Happy to post more photos if that would help too!

On the left is the Durban mango she smells strong of mango dirt and herbal citrus. On the right Jack Herer similar herbal tones but slightly sweeter. Excited to see how these girls smoke, this time I also added under canopy lighting which has boosted lower flower development quite well.

Happy Croptober, everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their harvest. I recently wrote an article about how to roll a Middle Eastern-style hash spliff for my website. You can check it out here if you want to read it.
