MagicLingPD Mimic boss stuck
Help! I defeated 5 mimics and it tells me the others ran away, but there's nothing else to do and no way to go back! I tried falling in the void but I respawn in the initial chamber. What should I do?

ShatteredPD Three years later
Finally. I finally got this GODS DAMNED AMULET. It took me three years but I finally did it.
Everybody told me to go Warden. Well I'm stupid and bullheaded and went Sniper. I burnt three ankhs in the Yog fight but I FINALLY made it down.
Going back up was another story, but I still survived all the way through TWENTY FIVE FUCKING FLOORS of this shit. So I think I did aight.
PS: I identified one of the main issues holding me back for this game. It's the mobile UI. I switched my UI style to full UI so that I always had access to my inventory, and it changed EVERYTHING. My ADHD ass brain could NOT keep my resources in mind, I was CONSTANTLY losing inventory awareness and not taking full advantage of my gear. Switching to landscape with full UI let me see everything, all the time, and have a constant reminder of what I could use. Definitely something I'd recommend.

Dev Announcement I'm converting to 3D
Hello friends, you might have seen me in my posts before. Anyway, after finishing developing a game based on Pixel Dragon, I'm trying to convert it to 3D. Are there any tips?

Dev Announcement Looking for More Alpha Testers for ADHD Pixel Dungeon (APD), My SPD Fork
I've officially started alpha testing ADHD Pixel Dungeon (APD), my fork of Shattered Pixel Dungeon, and I'm looking for more people who would be interested in testing it. I've been working pretty extensively on expanding SPD with new mechanics, customization options, statistics, and quality-of-life improvements, and I finally have builds in the hands of actual players. I'm particularly interested in experienced SPD players who enjoy experimenting with different builds, challenges, and difficulty settings, but you don't need to be an expert to participate. Some of the biggest additions include 18 Custom Dungeon Rules that let you individually adjust enemy health, damage, accuracy, evasion, spawn frequency, boss stats, player stats, healing, hunger, food, equipment availability, and even the number of Scrolls of Upgrade. There are also five difficulty presets, provisional scoring multipliers, customizable hotbars, adjustable game speed, additional confirmation options, and UIMSD, which is a pretty extensive statistics system that records and organizes information about runs, combat, equipment, resources, and player actions. I've also implemented quite a few smaller improvements intended to make everyday gameplay more convenient without completely changing what makes SPD enjoyable. I'm currently working on expanding several of these systems further, including more detailed combat information, better run management, and eventually a Community Hub where players can submit suggestions and participate in shaping future updates. The game is still in early alpha, so there are absolutely going to be bugs, balancing issues, and unfinished features. That's exactly why I'm looking for testers. I want people who are willing to experiment, find things that don't work correctly, suggest improvements, and preferably try to break the game in ways I haven't thought of. I'm distributing Android APKs privately for now and have a Discord server for coordinating testing, sharing builds, and collecting feedback. I also have an 11-page PDF explaining APD's features and how they differ from SPD, which I can share with anyone interested. If you'd like to participate, leave a comment or send me a message and I'll get you set up. I'm hoping to build a community around APD where players can genuinely influence its development, and I'd love to get more people involved while the game is still taking shape.

ShatteredPD Did anyone else just end up dying twice in Shattered Pixel Dungeon?
Idk if this is a bug or not but I found this behavior really weird. For context, this was the first time I was anywhere near finishing the imp quest and I was early on in the Greater Elemental fight. It was in its electric form and I had the idea to use the Gladiator's 10x combo attack, which I didn't think would backfire horribly. Interestingly, each of these deaths show the equipment I had in the imp quest and during normal gameplay (+ imp quest), respectively. (Also don't mind the rounded corners in the screenshot, for some reason my screenshotting app now does this)

AI-assisted Mod Announcement I'm stopping here. Atlas Pixel Dungeon v2.0.2 is my final version — one week of building, and I've never beaten my own game.
I don't really know how to start this, so I'll just tell it straight.
A week ago, I had never made a game in my life. I'm not a programmer — I never studied code. Atlas Pixel Dungeon is the first thing I ever built.
Why this game? Because Shattered Pixel Dungeon was the one with its doors open. A complete, real, beloved game, with all of its code published for anyone to learn from. I didn't want to watch tutorials about making games. I wanted to learn how a real game is built by taking one apart and rebuilding it into something of my own. So I did, and I called it Atlas.
The first days were just renaming a world. The Warrior became the Atlas King. The Sewers became the Sunken Cisterns. A king who sealed a darkness under his kingdom a thousand years ago. It sounds small, but every name I changed made it a little more mine.
Then I got greedy. I added my first real system — Pacts, curses you choose at the start of a run in exchange for power. Then I spent days fighting one stubborn bug in how the game draws text. Some days in this week, the game won. Some days, I did.
This final update took three days. The last day was one seven-hour session, start to finish, no breaks worth mentioning. Here is what is in it, and where you will meet it:
- On the hero select screen there is a Challenges & Pacts button. Inside it you will find 5 new deep challenges, and an Assist mode — unranked, gentler hunger, and a checkpoint every time you enter a new region — for anyone who just wants to see the whole dungeon once.
- Play the Dawn Priest and beat the second boss, and a third subclass waits for you: the Herald of Dawn, who fights beside a summonable Wisp.
- Find an alchemy pot and you can melt the rings you never use into Liquid Gold, and pour it into the ring you love — up to +3. With alchemy Blueprints, a weapon can even carry two enchantments.
- Reach the late game and a fourth tier of talents opens: 12 new ones, two for every hero.
- And if you take the Crown of Atlas from the thing sealed under the Buried City, the game no longer ends. You can keep going down into the Sunken Deep, floor after floor, harder every time, with your deepest floor written into the rankings.
Now the part I should be embarrassed about, but I'm not going to hide it: I have never beaten this game. Not Shattered, not mine. I am a builder, not a finisher. I start runs, I test, I die in the Cisterns like a beginner, and I go back to building. So this is a real request: if you download it and you actually beat it, tell me how it felt. Your run will be the first real verdict this game ever gets.
And this is my last version. A week ago this was somebody else's game with new names. Today it has my world, my systems, and an ending that doesn't end. That was the goal I set myself, and I've reached it — so I'm stopping here, while I still love it.
Last doesn't mean abandoned, though. If you find a bug, tell me here and I will fix it. The current build, 2.0.2, already proves it: it carries two small hotfixes from the very first round of testing — one for a crash, one for a window that drew its list outside its own frame.
There is one thing after this, and it isn't an update. One day I want to try bringing Atlas into 3D — the same grid, the same rules, seen from inside the dungeon instead of above it. I have never done anything in 3D. I expect problems I can't even name yet. If any of you has taken a 2D grid game into 3D, or works in Godot, I am genuinely asking: where does a beginner start, and what breaks first?
Download, free and open source: https://github.com/ellsimohammed8-prog/atlas-pixel-dungeon/releases/tag/v2.0.2
Thank you to everyone who commented last week — including the harsh ones. Especially the harsh ones. Most of this version exists because of what you said.

ShatteredPD If i choose the healing potion, i leave the vaults with all of them or with just one?
I have 11 healing potions outside this vault and whold be great if i could have 16
I also have plate armour +6, a great sheild +3 and a +2 ring of force (and with duelist i'm using brawler's stance for damage), a +2 eterial chains and +3 timeskeeper's hourglass, so i don't think i need anything from that vault other then the healing potions

Interactive I've got pretty lucky, and have never got this far... Tips?
Hey, I've never got this far before and I picked up a RoW pretty early so have just been getting a ton of stuff. Any ideas what I should do? I'm gladiator. I've got grim on my gauntlets and viscosity on my armour. But also just picked up eldritch glaive which looks pretty good? I'm 24 strength. The two unidentified potions are toxic and paralytic gas.

Discussion The stone glyph has so many drawbacks that it feels more like a curse than an upgrade.
Hello everyone! I’d like to start a discussion about the Stone Glyph. At first glance, it might seem excellent for defense: you sacrifice all your evasion in exchange for flat armor. However, if you analyze its impact on gameplay in detail, you realize it has far too many drawbacks and can completely ruin your runs.
Here are my main issues with it:
Useless with the "Faith is my Armor" challenge: If you try to use it while this challenge is active, the glyph becomes a recipe for suicide. It destroys your evasion, but the conversion into armor is severely penalized, leaving you completely defenseless.
It doesn't interact with Warrior (Gladiator) skills: I consider this a serious flaw. If you’re running a "full armor" build with the Gladiator, there’s a skill that increases your damage based on the amount of armor you have. Unfortunately, the extra armor provided by the Stone Glyph isn't factored into this damage calculation.
The hidden cap when paired with the Ring of Evasion: You might think that using a Ring of Evasion alongside this glyph would make you invincible by granting a massive amount of armor. Instead, you’ll be disappointed to find that the glyph has a maximum limit (cap) on the armor it can provide (please let me know if I’m mistaken), which makes the ring a waste.
Magic and elemental damage: With zero evasion, you’re forced to take 100% of all incoming magic attacks (such as beams from evil eyes or fire)—attacks that completely ignore physical armor. 5. It falls far behind compared to other glyphs: Even very simple glyphs—such as the one for out-of-combat movement speed ("Flow")—end up being far more useful in practice than the flat armor bonus provided by this stone.
It’s a dead end: To make matters worse, if you happen to get it and it ruins your strategy, there’s no way to get rid of it—unless you use another valuable enchantment stone or a "glyph pencil," or simply discard your armor and find a replacement.
Honestly, I believe even the "Multiplicity" curse (the curse that doubles energy consumption) is better than this. This stone-based glyph feels like a curse disguised as a benefit. I would welcome any feedback or thoughts on this enchantment.

ShatteredPD Ring, wand or artifact from crystal chest?
I can easily beat the game now and am practicing challenges, but I still have sooo much to learn. What do you usually take and why when you have these choices:
- wand or artifact
- wand or ring
- artifact or ring
