Medications PERT is a life saver, but I’m scared of long term effects

• Upvotes

Hey everybody!

I’m currently trying the PERT protocol for my PMDD symptoms - while I’m not in perimenopause yet (I think lol). I’m 28 years old and had been on the bc pill Yasmin and continuous fluoxetine 20mg prior to the PERT protocol. Unfortunately it didn’t help me and I developed terrible symptoms regardless (when I didn’t take bc breaks I felt like being in constant luteal after 2 or 3 blisters. but when I took breaks, I still had my background cyclical hormonal activity and terrible PMDD and pms symptoms before “menstruation” and the bc break). So I was begging my gyn to put me on estrogen patches and the oral micronized progesterone. Unfortunately she doesn’t know a lot about PMDD and treatment options and even the specialized PMDD clinic couldn’t help me with further treatment recommendations.

So in the end she prescribed me what I asked her for, even though she didn’t like that idea at all. She started prescribing me the 50 micrograms estramon patches, but I was afraid I might ovulate again with a dosage that low, so I started right away after stopping my bc pill and simply put on 2 patches instead of one to get to 100 micrograms. I started bleeding from stopping the Yasmin pill and whatever progesterone type was inside it, but had no physical symptoms at all. Just looked into my underwear and was like “oh blood”. Never had that before, but it was interesting to see how some other lucky people might experience their periods being completely pain free.

After a short time I asked my gyn to prescribe me the 100 micrograms estrogen patches instead (she thought I started with the 50, so she said we will have to see if I can tolerate that high dosage and in case I get too much migraines we might have to reduce it again, but ended up prescribing me the 100 micrograms thankfully).

My migraines are actually better on the patches than on the Yasmin pill. The blood clot risk profile is also way better under HRT than the Yasmin pill. The first few weeks after switching to HRT I still got different forms of discharge (like during a normal cycle) but after a while it has now turned to fully being egg-white discharge (and a lot of it). It looks like the discharge right before ovulation, just more of it. No smell or color, just looking like I’m literally discharging the white of one egg each time I’m sitting on the toilet.

I’ve also experienced weight gain (I was always severely underweight and have struggled to gain weight and now I actually get a bit of “curves” and look fuller!), I’m not sure if that’s just temporary water retention, but I’m really happy about it.

I’m more constipated and bloated than usual, but I regularly had fatty and soft stool before, looking like I wasn’t absorbing my nutrients properly. Now with the light constipation, that’s actually also a plus for me. It seems like my body has more time to digest and absorb what it needs!

The most important part: my PMDD symptoms are so much better. My adhd symptoms are a lot better and my meds seem to work better. I reduced my fluoxetine to 10mg (might even be able to do without it now regarding the PMDD, but it’s also helpful for anxiety).

Estrogen patches seem to be a life saver for me. But now I’m afraid of too much growth of my endometrium. Since I’m having that much discharge it looks a bit scary to me. I’m now on day 41 of my estramon patches and haven’t started and tried the oral progesterone yet. I’m afraid it will trigger a terribly strong period once I take it according to the PERT protocol and my PMDD symptoms might come back with full force. On the other hand I’m afraid I might develop cancer if I take the estrogen patch alone for too long and the full 90 days.

I’m not sure if the risk is different for me since I’m not in perimenopause yet and if the growth might be stronger/quicker under too much estrogen without progesterone? I don’t see any negative side effects for me apart from the discharge, since the other stuff is actually a good effect for me. Anyone else with similar side effects? Should I schedule and pay out of pocket for more regular Pap smears and maybe measurements of the thickness of my endometrium for preventative safety?

Medications How to know if a BC is not for you?

I started Yasmin for the first time yesterday (first ever BC to try), there’s a lot of mixed ‘reviews’. I just wanted to know how to know if I should keep going or when to quit? and if you experienced anything negative with Yasmin, when did you start feeling it?

I had a pretty bad PMDD episode last week that led me to trying BC. This morning was pretty discouraging as I woke up extremely nauseous, threw up 3 times, had a panic attack from throwing up so severely. I was going to stop taking it. but Doctor asked if I took Yasmin on an empty stomach, I said yes, he told me not to take it on an empty stomach (oops), and encouraged me to keep going ahead with it as he recognised I was solely taking it for the PMDD.

So I am going ahead with it, and I am okay for now, as my mood has been fine and chirpy despite the objectively terrible day. I’m not experienced in this topic, so I just wanted to know what to look out for

Thanks!!! 🧡

Relationships Vent:(

I hate how bitter Pmdd makes me. I am so bitter about everything, so insecure, so jealous, so angry. And I project that on to my boyfriend. I’m currently on day 21 and I’m struggling so much. I don’t know how anyone would wanna be with me when I’m like this every single month. I wouldn’t want to be with me. I can’t take SSRI’s due to side effects. I feel trapped in this nightmare. Just wanted to vent to people who get it because this is the hardest thing ever and it’s only getting worse as I get older (35F)

Ranty Rant - Advice Okay When you say you can't keep a job, is it because you get let go or leave?

While I never got into trouble, I left my last job because I felt like I got a "reputation" for being off once a month and saying crazy stuff during luteal.

I started fluoxetine and it has really flattened out the rage spikes so I found a new job with the hope of starting over, but I still find that I have the 1-2 days a month, usually 3 days before my period where I'm overwhelmed by everything and my brain doesn't operate at all, which makes the overwhelm worse because I feel like a failure.

So best thing I can do is take the day off and relax. But that makes me feel very embarrassed and that I'll get fired for being regularly sick. At my last job they changed the sick policy to "after 10 occurances a year you get flagged", and after complaining that this is unfair for anyone with a menstrual disorder I got to submit a request to HR about this and they didn't flag anything, but it still felt so wrong.

Now at my new job there's nothing saying a specific number of days but both the policy and my contract say if your attendance is unsatisfactory/you have frequent absences you may get lot go. What counts as unsatisfactory though? Frequent and regular is kinda expected here.

I have done my health assessment for reasonable adjustments before I started but they adjustments are usually to minimise time off, not giving it for you for free. Things mentioned were work from home (doesn't help, brain still dead) or reduced workload (there's always deadlines etc and if you ask for easier work you just get whatever anyways and people on the team say well if you're not feeling well just take a day off instead)

I'm a software developer but really looking for an escape because I don't feel like I can manage this. Considering finding some sort of work for myself where I can do whatever hours I want (I even built my own website and while it's free now I have a business plan in my head but it's really struggling to take off), take some minimum wage job (maybe a librarian?) or just become a housewife

Any advice on either better adjustment options, career options or anything that could help with the brain fog itself?

Medications Spotting on pill affecting my mood?

Hope this is okay here as a birth control question I personally am trying Lucette 0.03mg/0.3mg every day to “stop” my cycle and reduce the extreme highs and lows I was having around every hormone change not just luteal. Well it’s been 3 1/2 months (so my body is settling but can apparently take up to six months) and I have just had 11 days of spotting and breakthrough bleeding, ranging from light pink to red with cramps. Apparently this is normal at this point but I wondered if anyone else experienced mood changes from spotting? When I bleed I feel very angry and sensitive, not quite like how I was before but is there a chance that breakthrough bleeding is maybe producing or affecting my hormones?

Ranty Rant - Advice Okay Luteal is bad, but now ovulation is bad too?

Hey all. 33F. I know this sub is mostly for PMDD, which I have, but wanted to talk about the weird shit I experience during ovulation that is new in the past year. Both my PMDD and ovulation days keep getting worse and worse. It's like I have 1 good week now.

Weird new ovulation stuff:

  • Appetite is zero. It's like my stomach and pelvic area is so swollen, that I can't get food down without immediately feeling full. (And in luteal, I am voracious.)
  • Hard to pee. It comes out so slowly, and I have to strain. Again, because it feels so swollen in that area, that I imagine my urethra is cramped and urine can't flow as fast? It's creepy af.
  • Nausea. Mostly because when I eat, it feels like too much. But generally just nauseous at this time.
  • Extreme exhaustion for one day. Then extreme sadness for one day. Most of follicular I feel confident and sexy. But then I get this big wave of tired, followed by extreme misery. I am imagining my body in mourning over the fact that I didn't get it pregnant.
  • Can't sleep. Tired all day, but then 11PM rolls around and I am wide awake.
  • Occasionally, insane nerve pain in my back. When I get it, it's right before ovulation, and it radiates up to my neck and down my arm and back.

Just wonder if it just be like this.

Peri & Menopause PV progesterone??

Google suggests taking progesterone PV (inside your vagina) instead of PO for pmdd, because it avoids the by products that are thought to trigger all the feels. (not broken down by liver when absorbed vaginally)

Anyone tried this with success?

For context, I started hrt last week and immediately had an awful 24 hours of SI and depression.

Yes, I will ok it with my doctor. I'm asking about experiences.

Peer Reviewed Research American Society of Hematology (ASH) published new clinical practice guidelines for iron deficiency that you should be aware of.

Thumbnail hematology.org
76 Upvotes

Finally, after years of waiting, the American Society of Hematology (ASH) has published its first guidelines focused on diagnosing iron deficiency. There are some important changes, particularly for people who menstruate, pregnant individuals, and adults with anemia of inflammation.

One of the biggest takeaways is the importance of looking at ferritin, not just serum iron, when assessing iron deficiency.

Think of serum iron as your checking account and ferritin as your savings account. Serum iron reflects the iron circulating in your blood at the time of the test; ferritin gives us an indication of the iron stored in the body. You can have a seemingly normal serum iron result while your iron stores are depleted i.e., you’re living paycheck to paycheck.

So what ferritin levels does the new guideline recommend?
• Young children (9 months to 4 years): Ferritin ≤20 ng/mL is suggested as the threshold for iron deficiency.
• Adults who are not menstruating or pregnant: Ferritin ≤30 ng/mL is suggested, rather than the older, lower cutoff of ≤15 ng/mL.
• People who menstruate: Ferritin ≤30 ng/mL is suggested.
• For those with symptoms, heavy menstrual bleeding, other risk factors, or certain upcoming life events, a threshold of ≤50 ng/mL may be appropriate.
• Pregnant individuals: Ferritin ≤30 ng/mL is suggested. For pregnant individuals with anemia, a threshold of ≤50 ng/mL may be appropriate.
• Adults with anemia of inflammation: ASH recommends checking both ferritin and transferrin saturation (TSAT), rather than relying on ferritin alone. A TSAT below 20% or ferritin below 100 ng/mL may support a diagnosis of iron deficiency in this context. (This applies to those of you that have inflammatory diseases.)

Keep in mind that a lab’s reference range is not necessarily the same thing as a clinical decision threshold. ASH encourages laboratories to consider flagging results using clinically meaningful thresholds, rather than relying exclusively on their existing reference ranges.

What does this have to do with PMDD?

Iron deficiency can cause symptoms that overlap with some of the symptoms people experience with PMDD, including fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches.

Over the years, we’ve had people post on this subreddit with stories along the lines of, “Turns out it wasn’t PMDD after all” Once they got their levels up their symptoms went away. For others, iron deficiency is comorbid with PMDD and for these folks their symptoms feel 13/10 when they are deficient.

Full guideline here.

Edit: fixed the bottom link

⚠️Trigger Warning Topic⚠️ Exhausted from feeling fragmented: PMDD, ADHD, endometriosis, and I don’t know where to start

Hi, this is my first post. Reading other people’s stories has always helped me through these periods, but right now I need to be heard and to get some advice.

I’m 32, and I’ve known for about 5 years that I have PMDD, thanks to Canadian forums (France is very far behind on this disorder). The discovery brought as much relief as anger at all the lost time. It finally gave meaning to the cyclical depressive and suicidal states I’ve had since I was 12, which I had never realized were cyclical. That’s what this state does when you’re not informed: it isolates you and makes you doubt your own perception. Once you come out of it, you try to forget, while fearing deep down that the darkness is who you really are and that you’re only getting a reprieve.

Years of professional help I didn’t recognize myself in only made that grey veil thicker. I was already broken and rebuilt in pieces when I found the relief of a shared reality spoken out loud with the pmdd testimonials. But I’m exhausted from feeling fragmented, with no continuity in how I perceive life. My moments of sensitivity and attachment to existence are incredibly strong, and I’ve made that my work as an artist, which gives meaning but also brings loneliness and precarity. The same force that lets me see beauty in everything also pulls me toward the void, and it’s getting harder and harder to come back up.

A year ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis and ADHD (like my brother and sister). The same tests showed a very low follicle count and apparently very low chances of fertility today (I had two abortions when I was younger), so I’m considering freezing my eggs. They also showed high testosterone (70 ng/dL). I’m now on 54 mg of Concerta and trying fluoxetine a few days before my period. I tried Slinda but stopped, as I saw no difference. There are lots of preliminary studies, but I get lost in them because I can’t find concrete help, someone who really listens, or clear follow-up.

I also know that many people with PMDD experienced childhood sexual abuse, and I think that’s my case. I’ve always sensed it without being sure (maybe traumatic amnesia, hard to untangle from guilt and the fear of lying), and none of the therapists I’ve seen really helped me explore it.

I don’t know where to start. Every crisis turns everything into an emergency, the next symptom shows up before I’ve recovered from the last, and the urgency ends up dissolving into an almost permanent dissociation.

If this resonates with you or you have advice, I’d be really grateful. Thank you for your stories, your mutual support and your research, in the absence of public policy. Lots of love, and thank you for reading.

⚠️Trigger Warning Topic⚠️ Deep deep hopelessness

I don’t feel taken seriously with this disorder in doctors appointments. SSRIs don’t work for me and hormonal birth control is hard to see if it works. I am scared every single month. It feels like I work hard just for it all to tumble down. I feel like I barely know who I am.

General Favorite Songs to Listen to When the PMDD Monster Arises

I am genuinely curious what everyone else’s favorite songs to listen to when they are in the depths of the darkness that is the luteal phase. My go to’s have been Living in My Head by Kesha and Destroy Everything You Touch by Ladytron. Mainly asking this question to distract from the current state of events that is my life right now.

Food & Exercise terrible news: cutting out caffeine helped 💔

Hello everyone, unfortunately I have some bittersweet news...I did a little experiment this cycle and consumed 0 caffeine (I still ate chocolate). IT HELPED 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 my luteal symptoms were WAY less severe and when my period came I was like "oh no way! My period started!" instead of my usual "THANK GOD THE END IS IN SIGHT."

I was not consuming a crazy amount of caffeine before. 50-150mg per day, probably. And never any past 3pm. I really miss drinking black and green tea, so I might give it a try during follicular, and then stick to herbal again in luteal.

I also took a vacation and have been taking steps to intentionally reduce my stress levels. I'm sure those things influenced my symptoms as well.

Ranty Rant - Advice Okay Over it

For the last year, like clock work- 10 days out from my period and I feel like I have the flu. My whole body aches. I’m cramping. I’m so nauseous, especially in the morning. I can sleep all day. I generally call into work at least once or leave early during this week. Thankful for a kind boss but hard to explain and they are getting frustrated by it. On top of the physical symptoms of course I also feel highly emotional.
Drs are like “you look healthy, you’re small, take more vitamin D”. Very frustrated and feel like this isn’t going to end. Didn’t want to just mask symptoms with birth control due to fear of blood clots but…I won’t truly get an answer from a medical professional. Feel like it’s always just “been in my head” because any test comes back normal or low for some random thing, easily fixable. And when fixed, doesn’t help this week.
I don’t know how much longer I can do this every month. I don’t have support. I feel embarrassed from it. I can’t keep this up. I’m 32 for context. My period is also every 18 days which doctors also aren’t concerned about. So. I only feel “okay” for maybe 5 days a month.
Really struggling to find the point when I literally feel like death over half the time.

Need to Vent - No advice please Peak luteal, getting married next week. Everything makes me want to scream

I love my fiancé, I am very excited to get married. But for the love of God, can I please just have ONE tiny detail work out in my favour? I've had to compensate and jump through hoops on every single possible aspect of our wedding and it's driving me CRAZY.

Today was the cherry on top for me.

We had an appointment at the county office for our marriage license. I filled out the application form last night ahead of time. It's a legal form, so I wanted to print slowly and make sure everything was spelled correctly. I had filled out the paper, and folded it nicely on my nightstand so I could go over it with my fiancé before bed and then put it in my purse for the morning. Until I dumped my plate of chocolate chip pancakes all over it. Chocolate smeared everywhere. Am I 5 years old??

This part was fully my fault, but I SWEAR luteal phase is to blame for my clumsiness. I'm usually pretty poised, but all of a sudden luteal hits and I'm dropping things, spilling drinks, tripping over nothing and fumbling with everything. I broke my nail last week reaching around my fiancé to pet the dog. And I've been growing them for the wedding so now I have to have short stubby nails or wear fake ones which I absolutely despise.

So I check the clerk's office site, and their online portal to submit the application online doesn't work, but they do have a PDF version of the form to print. Ok, no problem, I'll just reprint the form. I don't have a printer, but our apartment complex does. I check and the printer is out of toner. Ok, that's fine. It's late, I'll just go to Staples in the morning.

So I get up and get myself ready early, I'm an hour ahead of schedule. My fiancé is on a work call, so we don't leave until 10:30. No problem, our appointment is at 11, and only 15 mins away. I'll be able to fill it out in the car. We print the form at Staples no problem, things are looking up.

But apparently the road to the clerks office hasn't been paved since the 90's. So I'm hunched over in the car, painstakingly writing each letter, trying to fill it out on the bumpiest road ever. I get it done, and it's not great, but it's legible. And we have our ID's to confirm our names anyways. I double check with my fiancé that his middle name does in fact have 2 L's, he confirms, I write it with 2 L's. (Foreshadowing to the future L we're about to take.)

So we get there and the appointment is going smoothly. The clerk asks us to correct any mistakes on a separate sheet to show what he is about to LEGALLY enter in the system. I notice a spelling error on our street name, I correct it, but everything else on my side looks fine, name, date of birth, etc. Fiancé confirms his side. We sign the paper, all good.

The clerk prints it on the most official looking sheet of paper that's ever existed, embossed and pretty. He starts giving us verbal instructions about where to go next, how to get everything signed on the wedding day, etc etc. But I can't hear him. Because all I can see is my fiancé's middle name, misspelled. The clerk only put one L. I immediately let him know, and he looks a bit annoyed.

It's obviously his fault, because I spelled it with 2 L's on our original application, but he entered it wrong. But it's now our fault for not catching HIS error. Then he put it on ME directly saying I wrote the L "too lightly". There was a glass window between us, but I imagined reaching over and choking him with his stupid looking tie.

There's no punishment for being wrong, why can't people just apologize??

Now, normally this isn't an issue, it happens all the time. They'd just do a reprint and we'd be on our merry way, but he says they're out of the fancy paper. I'm sorry, you're telling me we just used your LAST sheet of pink embossed legal paper?? So he told us we have to "call and check" (my least favourite phrase) on Friday to see if they got more paper in and do a reprint. We get married next Wednesday.

If they do have the paper, then we'll go through the whole process again. And all of this has to be done with both of us in person. But if they don't have the paper, then we have to get married with the wrong name, and do a correction form. In which case, we will have to carry 2 pieces of paper with us for the rest of time showing that we got married with one name, and changed it later. WOW.

So we walk to the car and I'm just so devastated I start tearing up. I should also mention that I have OCD, so something like this, where a tiny mistake was so easily avoidable, makes me extremely stressed out. It's annoying and I don't want to live like this, but I'm working really hard on it. I've done really well in other areas and allowing things to not be perfect. This just happened to be our MARRIAGE license, and honestly the flood of emotions about it was 100% PMDD fuelled.

My fiancé, cool as a cucumber about everything, says "it's ok it will work out". I'm sure it will.

I just want to get the license, have it signed the day of, and say "yay we're married!" and call it good. I don't want to have to go back and jump through a bunch more hoops just to officially have the feeling of completing the task.

Does that make sense to anyone else? It's so frustrating to me to have to double back and fix something after it's already been done, it disrupts the natural progression of happiness in my mind, idk. I need to do more OCD research on this.

I just want one thing to go well from start to finish. Anyways, thanks for reading I guess. I just needed to vent. :/

General I read Fourth Wing during PMDD week. Help!

I am feeling SO depressed. I have never had a book series affect me this way. I was reading to help with withdrawal and Social media I'm trying to figure out if it's because of the heightened emotions, and it's making the sadness way worse. I know the plot is heart wretching on purpose but has anyone else done this to themselves and were you ok on the other side? Lol

I experience this with movies sometimes. They'll stick with me a day then I'll be ok.

I can't sleep, my stomach is in knots, and I'm SAD. This reality also sucks. Like crying since I started the series last week. Thank you for sharing and maybe giving me some pointers. 🫶

Medications When in chemical menopause how did you have to take the progesterone side of things?

I'm suddenly freaking out about trying chemical menopause. I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss, I want to make sure I am covered with what info I need to ask.

I'm already on hrt, 75mcg estradiol patch and cyclical 200mg micronized progesterone (which seems to make me feel even worse then I already do-the progesterone)

I'm just thinking, if they turn my ovaries and I have to go cold turkey with my patch, surely I will crash even further for however long until I am allowed to start hrt again? And also I know I will need to take progesterone of some type to protect my womb but I have tried it daily before and I felt so depressed.

If I have the oorprectomy I will also be having a full hysterectomy so wouldn't need progesterone in the end.

Just wondering how will they know if the operation will work of I have to continue taking progesterone and this actually causes me to have pmdd?

Ranty Rant - Advice Okay Constant Anxiety?

Hi everyone! I was recently suspected to have PMDD after going off of the pill (Milli) a year ago, as my general anxiety goes crazy 10-14 days before starting my period. With that being said, I’m really trying to understand what’s going on and see if anyone can relate.

I have OCD in addition to PMDD, and while this does increase during my luteal phase, it’s the general anxiety that is driving me crazy.

My body is in constant fight or flight mode. The physical symptoms are constant and unrelenting, i.e constantly on edge, clenched jaw, tight chest, etc. I also get random waves of depressive symptoms, but then I’ll be fine a little bit later. It’s all so confusing, and then I’m fine once my period starts.

Is there anyone out there that experiences something similar? Is 10-14 days a normal timeframe for this? What do you do to help manage?

I’m currently increasing my sertraline from 75mg to 100mg, but I’m not sure that this is enough to do anything.

Thank you all in advance!

Peri & Menopause Positive menopause experiences? For someone who's scared

Hi everyone. I've seen a lot of stories on here about people having positive results with oophorectomies. I'm BRCA1+ and my oncologists want me to get my ovaries out by the time I'm 40 anyway. I'm currently 35. I've been thinking of getting them out next summer when work slows down for me. I just can't deal with the PMDD anymore. It got worse when I had to go off birth control after having breast cancer. I'm on antidepressants and a mood stabilizer that do help, but the luteal phase is still awful. I'm really nervous about going into menopause after looking up everything that can happen. My doctors said I am allowed to go on HRT. Has anyone had any positive experiences with menopause. As in they weren't that affected? I just need to hear something good. Thanks.

General Could lack of sleep cause intense confidence and euphoria during PMDD?

Hello everyone again, I already wrote a post about how I suspect I have PMDD, but I forgot to add the fact that my sleep schedule is very disrupted.. I mean, I don't know if you've ever had this situation where from lack of sleep or when you sleep a small number of hours, you feel confident, this strange feeling like you can do everything and all that, and a strong surge of communication with people appears. But I also have a very strange sleep pattern, I simply can’t not sleep during the day, that is, I usually go to bed at 6-8 in the morning and if I make it to 12 o’clock in the afternoon, then I get this euphoria. I just can't get my sleep schedule right, I only feel good at night. And basically it intensifies 4-5 days before the onset of menstruation along with ovulation, although I’m not sure that this is it, but perhaps it’s a surge of estrogen. But this feeling of euphoria occurs in the morning or when I have not slept for a long time, once (as I wrote in the last post) it grew into a 4-5 day terrible surge of this same euphoria but I also had a terrible heartbeat and the feeling that I couldn't sit still, I needed to do something, and there was a terrible, unpleasant irritability. But after that it slowly turned into depression, but such a strong feeling happened 1 or 2 times during the whole year, basically I usually feel better during these days before menstruation. And my depression goes away, as if my thoughts become clear and I don’t even react to stress, I can think logically.

I checked my thyroid and iron levels, everything is fine with them, but I’m still waiting for the right day to take new tests for my gynecologist and possibly start taking birth control pills (I can't take estrogen pills because of migraines with aura, so I'll take progesterone pills. I'm going to take them because of migraines with aura because it's related to changes in estrogen or hormones and because of these changes in mood) Also last year I took amitriptyline for migraines with aura, and in the 2-3 week of taking it it caused me a condition like that which lasted 4-5 days and added strong obsessive thoughts, and I stopped taking it

I'm 16 yo

Sorry if I'm texted off-topic, but I think this is the best place to find people who might have had this :)

Medications SLYND backfire ?

First cycle on Slynd and it did a notable difference in Lutheal phase and Pmdd - i felt so much bette. Then I got spotting and eventually a pretty full on period during the days I naturally would have gotten my period. This happened despite not taking the sugarpills. So, this is okay but here comes the backfire - Im done with period now and just started a new cycle and new sheet of Slynd pills. Im in the days that usually feel AMAZING (the week after period), but it feels like I have heavy PMDD!!

Any tips, resonance for other Slynd user? Any hope this can balance ou?

i know its a lot of Slynd posts here, but I couldnt find one for this exact problem with a «delayed lutheal» feeling.

Thanks for this group - it brings hope in this deveststion called PMDD.
