BDO Best way to hit min spend requirement?

Hi, as stated in the subject. I've been offered by bdo NAFFL just spend 100k within specified period. How do you usually hit the spending reqs? Nakatry na din ako dati sa mga ibang banks na card pero mababa lang yun like 20-30k. Any tips sana para iwas sa unecessary spending? Tyyy

IDRP / Utang Needing ₱85k/Month Just to Survive, Excluding ₱200k in Credit Card Debt 😭

Single mom and a breadwinner. I work multiple jobs, barely get any sleep, and I’m exhausted. My sister helps cover some expenses, but I still need around ₱85k a month to keep up with everything.

I have ₱200k in credit card debt and around ₱29k in monthly credit card loan payments for the next 36 months. My other expenses, including Meralco, groceries, school, cats, internet, HMO etc. total around ₱56k a month. (Family of 7, parents doesn't have source of income and have meds for maintenance)

I don’t even have a car, barely buy anything for myself, and never travel. I know I haven’t managed my finances well, but it’s so hard to survive, especially with the uncertainty of freelance job security. Anyone na katulad ko before? Paano niyo nasurvive? Pwede bang sumuko nalang 😭😭 haha pagod na ko, kaso may anak ako.

UnionBank Lazada refund to UnionBank credit card

Post image

I canceled this installment transaction on Lazada and the status has been like this since October 17, 2026 (Saturday). Today is October 20. I used my UnionBank U Platinum Mastercard for this. How long will the refund usually take based on your experiences? I want the refund to reflect before my statement date on October 23. Does it take longer if the transaction is installment?

Possible Scam Calls Scammed ₱20,000 through an Atome QR Ph payment

Hi everyone,

I need advice regarding a scam that happened to me today, October 20, 2026.

Someone called me and claimed that they could increase my Atome credit limit. They instructed me to scan a QR code and confirm the payment directly through my Atome app. I believed what they told me, so I proceeded with the transaction.

Unfortunately, I later realized that it was a scam. I lost ₱20,000 through the QR Ph payment using my Atome credit card.

I know I personally confirmed the payment, but I only did so because I was deceived into believing it was a legitimate credit-limit increase.

The good thing is that I already had Atome Card Shield active when the incident happened.

I want to ask if anyone here has experienced a similar situation:

  1. Has anyone successfully recovered money from an Atome QR Ph scam where they personally confirmed the payment because they were deceived?
  2. Does Atome Card Shield cover this type of scam, or is it excluded because the payment was authorized by the cardholder?
  3. Since I reported the incident on the same day, is there still a chance that Atome can reverse the transaction or help recover the funds?
  4. Should I file a complaint with the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group or NBI Cybercrime Division immediately?
  5. What specific steps should I take to improve my chances of recovering the ₱20,000?

I'm planning to contact Atome and request an urgent investigation and a Card Shield claim assessment.

I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through a similar experience, especially those who successfully recovered their money or filed a claim under Atome Card Shield.

Thank you.

Atome Card Is Atome calls a user regarding permanent Atome Cash increase?

So apparently, may tumawag sakin na Atome daw regarding permanent Atome Cash increase worth 10k. I just wanna ask if Atome legitimately calls a user for credit increase on their Atome Cash? And ang suspicious lang na ayaw ipababa ni agent ung call even na need ko ibaba ung call due to work. And reason daw is dapat mgreflect sa account ko ung increase before ending the call and may sodexo something pa daw ako marereceive thru email. I need to thoroughly check talaga if baka nacompromise na account ko during that call. Thank you so much for the help.

BPI BPI CC advise - should I buy?

hi mga ka reddit! need advice lang po! i currently have 1 cc - BPI. im currently in debt of 89k. i am slowly paying the debt at around 5k to 6k a month, with the minimum around 2.9k to 3.1k a month.

ask ko lang if its wise to buy a new phone. for context my old phone (Samsung a05) which i bought for a measly php 5k 2 years ago gave up on me already. i am planning to buy a xiaomi fone around 25k. why the big jump kasi gusto ko na mag invest sa medyo okay na fone since my old one is an entry level fone only.

nag ask around ako and found out that abenson offers the phone at 0% instalment for 24 months.

is this a smart buy ? i dont have problem paying the phone since i calcualted and it will be only like approx 600 per payday cut off so kaya naman siya. my concern is if kahit sinabihan ako ni abenson na 0% intereset for 24 months im afraid if baka lumaki yung finance charges ko. my finance charges were at 3.3k, then it dropped to 3k then now at 2.8k a month.

no hate po and please respect. thank you!!

IDRP / Utang Ang hirap talaga pag breadwinner ka.

Hi guys.

Naka one year payment na ko sa IDRP (paying almost 30k a month) for three credit cards. 700k+ utang ko and it became 1M after the IDRP (1.5% interest, 3 yrs to pay). Pero lately ko lang narealize, hanlaki pa din pala ng interest nila. Daig ko pa nagbabayad ng may car loan every month. Sana nagpadeliquent nalang ako and nag wait for amnesty loan program. Huhu. Tapos akala ko di na ko makakagamit ng any credit cards, but RCBC card worked, and naka300k plus na agad ako. (So 1M ulit utang ko) From May to October lang yun. Haiys.

Breadwinner duties, ang hirap din talaga pag ikaw lang inaasahan ng buong pamilya including pamangkins.

Dko na alam pano ibabudget sahod ko. Haiys. Ano pwedeng gawin?

Card Recommendation iPlan2Switch from BDOGold to NAFFL Card

Hi everyone, I have a BDO Gold card for a few months (kept inactived for a year). I mostly use it for major purchases (appliances, plane tickets etc). I work overseas and don't use it here. I am able to pay my balances on time as well.

However, to ask for a waived monthly membership fee is a hassle for me (because... who does not want a waived membership fee for life right?) And I cannot physically contact CSR EVERY.MONTH. to ask for a waived fee nor do it every year. ( I am unhappy about this, and I heard BDO is not the most generous to offer naffl promos around.)

So I'm asking your expertise in helping me decide the best way to go.

The switch- I plan to switch to a new card that will honor my credit record with BDO and allow me to:

  1. apply for a naffl credit card with a usable credit limit (around 50k)

  2. If #1 is not possible I'm willing to "spend my way through it"

  3. if that is possible, what is the surefire way to go?

  4. Also are there any banks that alIow me to apply online? As I am unable to physically visit a bank branch nor call csr back home.

One caveat is I am not the biggest spender. My max spending with the card is around 150k in a few months and have paid 95% of it. But I also plan to keep my spending stay that way- manageable and within my budget.

With all these information, I look forward to your recommendations. Thanks for reading the awfully long request. 🙏

TLDR: crowdsourcing

plant to Switch from BDO gold to a good NAFFL card

best way to go?

Main spending: airfare/home purchase/ flexible card

Online applications possible?

UnionBank Tips for Increase CL ni UnionBank Credi Card

Post image
• Upvotes

Share ko lang experience ko kay CS ni UnionBank. Always sakin tumatawag para magpromote ng mga promos and then always ko sila pinapatawag ulet for some other time kase lagi sila nagaalok ng supplementary card so ako always ako nagsasabi na “maybe next time nalang kase mababa pa yung credit limit ko kay UB”. So ganun lagi yung sinasabi ko na magpapataas muna ako ng CL then last saturday bigla nalang may nagtext sakin na nagincrease na yung CL ko kay UB. Di ako naniwala kase madameng mapagpanggap sa tabi-tabi haha but nun chineck ko yung UB app totoo nga nagincrease sya. From 82k to 164k na so ang laki ng jump hahaha I think kakasabi ko na magpapataas muna ako ng CL kay UB eh sila na mismo nakipagcoordinate kay UB to increase may CL hahaha

BPI Hijacked Network. Nice try scammers.

So siguro naman umay na umay na kayo sa mga ganitong galawan, pero madami parin naloloko. Kaya dapat talaga laging tandaan, DO NOT CLICK LINKS kahit pa galing yan sa legit text/network from bank.

So eto na nga, magkkwento ako.

Oct. 15: I booked flights to Boracay, paid with my BPI CC.

Oct. 19: I paid my CC in full kasi due na on Nov 2.

Oct. 20 (today): Around 2:00 PM, BPI telesales dept was calling me but I didn't answer. Hindi ko sila talaga sinasagot coz every time I pay in full, next day lagi sila tumatawag, maybe to offer a personal loan, ewan. I never answered. The reason I know na legit BPI telesales is because I Googled the number and meron sa website.

Today, around 2:31 PM, I received the text as seen in the screenshot. Ang talino, ginamit talaga ung Cebupac para magpanic ako and to click the link. But nope, I ignored, signed into my BPI app, checked if meron ngang transaction. Wala naman, so I temporarily locked nlng.

Kakaumay lang. Di ko alam kung may insider ba na nagffeed ng info outside or sadyang na-hijack lang ang network nila and they can see all the past transactions na nagtetext si BPI sakin, kasi nung nag-book ako eh meron talagang text, as you can see again in my screenshot. Naiba lang ung language.

So, yun lang! Again, wag kayo magpapanic na mag-click agad. Check nyo muna mga app nyo, kaya nga kayo may app. Will I request a card replacement? Nope. Kahit naman magpapalit ako ng card ganun din. Mas maiistress pako kakahintay sa new card.

TL; DR: DO NOT CLICK LINKS even if provided by legit bank networks.

Has anyone here cancelled a credit card but realized to keep it? Did the bank allow it or is it already finalized? I got disconnected with the customer service for cancellation card but now I have realized to keep it instead. (sorry im really indecisive) If it’s already finalized, then it’s okay with me.

Edit: The cancelled card was not yet activated

Card Recommendation CC recommendation for beginner

I recently applied for BPI credit card since I already have two savings account sakanila. I have about almost 80k savings din dun sa isa pero I know walang bearing yun sa pag apply. Since 2018 yung isang account ko pero I think naka jumpstart savings parin kasi minor palang ako nung inapplyan ako ng mother ko dun. I got rejected I think.

I’m earning naman na pero first time job palang and nasa 25k ang salary.

I’m looking for other credit cards na pwedeng applyan baka may recommendation kayo for beginners like me?
