Opinion Digital ID? This feels like a trap.
okcfriday.comIf you get pulled over in a traffic stop, you'll have to give your unlocked phone to the cop? Or pass your unlocked phone over a counter so your digital ID can be scanned?
Also, the only way my physical ID can be stolen is if it is physically taken, but I'm sure everyplace that has photocopied my ID has stored it securely....

Politics Do NOT listen to data about polls being "close"
I'll keep it brief. This is propaganda. I'm not saying it's not close, but every time a leftist candidate is making it a race in a red state, you see all these posts and articles pop up about how we're "closing in on them" etc. Plug your ears. Get out and vote. Tell all your friends to get out and vote. Harass them.
Any single ounce of relaxation is poison.
And I say this as someone who criticized Munson and didn't think she had much of a chance, she's ran a really impressive campaign. But everybody in her camp needs an underdog mentality until the bitter end. I've talked to people who are registered to vote who didn't even know who either candidate is. There are still people to be reached and swayed.

News Who’s checking the searches on Oklahoma’s Flock cameras?
Flock license plate cameras create records of where vehicles are seen, and police can search that data during investigations. But when FOX 25 requested records from departments across Oklahoma, responses varied—and several departments didn’t provide the audit logs that could show how their systems were searched.
After previously reporting two cases of misuse involving Oklahoma City police, FOX 25’s Emma McAndrews investigates what the public can verify about how these cameras are used.

Politics Election Rumors OK Voters May Hear Before the Nov 3 Election
A "low Information Oklahoma voter" I help, recently sent me a text that said "
A very reliable Friend of my Cousin just finished Poll worker training and she texted me this:
"Just finished Poll Manager training. I passed all the classes. I want you all to know something.....when you are checking in at the polls and they happen to write anything on your ballot before they give it to you to put in the voting machine.... a letter, a check mark, a letter with an asterisk, an R or a D, any writing of any kind.....please request a new ballot. Your ballot will be disqualified if is written on. Please be on the look out. Make sure poll workers do not write on your ballot. It will cause your ballot to be disqualified. Please forward this to everyone you know. PassOn!
OP used Brave AI & Duck AI to confirm this is a false.
Other rumours (fake) recirculating:
These are rumors a voter in Oklahoma may encounter—not evidence that they’re true or that each is circulating locally. National election-watchers identify recurring claims about illegal voting, voting machines, ballot handling, and election results; Oklahoma has also had a recent wave of claims conflating public voter-registration data with a breach of election systems. Brennan Center for Justice1
- “Noncitizens are registering or voting in huge numbers.” A name appearing on a voter list, or a data-matching error, doesn’t by itself show that an ineligible person registered or voted.
- “Oklahoma’s election system was hacked, so votes could be changed.” In July, Oklahoma officials said publicly discussed voter information came from commercial websites, not a breach of state election systems, and that they had found no evidence votes were altered. News On 61
- “Voting machines are online and can be remotely hacked.” Oklahoma uses hand-marked paper ballots and optical-scan devices that state officials say are not connected to the internet. Oklahoma1
- “Absentee ballots are being added, discarded, or counted fraudulently.” A claim about a particular ballot or procedure needs specific, verifiable evidence—not just a video, screenshot, or unexplained vote-count change.
- “A counting delay, equipment problem, or changing tally proves fraud.” These events may prompt questions, but aren’t proof that votes were changed; Oklahoma has paper ballots and post-election audits that can help check results. news9.com1
- “A candidate or election official said something shocking”—with a convincing clip or image as proof. AI-generated or edited political content is a risk this cycle; look for the full original recording and corroboration before sharing it. justsecurity.org1
- “The outcome is already fixed,” or “the election can’t be trusted before counting is finished.” Those are sweeping conclusions, not evidence. Ask what specific event or record supports the claim and whether it can be independently checked. Brennan Center for Justice
For practical voting information, check the Oklahoma State Election Board or your county election board. Their official materials describe the state’s procedures and safeguards, including paper ballots, absentee ballots, ballot custody, and audits.
Other Possible Rumours OK Voters May Encounter:
"The 'Sharia' Law rumor"
This is an Oklahoma-specific vector. A false claim is circulating that Democratic candidates are secretly calling for Sharia law. NewsGuard debunked a recent version targeting a Michigan candidate, noting that the candidate was actually criticizing the 2010 Oklahoma constitutional amendment that banned judges from considering Sharia. This is likely to be recycled against Oklahoma candidates to trigger the 2010 referendum's political fallout.
"Election board members won't certify results"
The "Stop the Steal" movement has evolved, with election-denialists now holding positions on key state election boards. Rumors are circulating that Republican or Democratic board members will refuse to certify the final count. This is a carryover from 2024 designed to plant seeds of doubt before the election even happens.
"Fake AI images of candidates"
Five of the 23 false claims tracked by NewsGuard are based on AI-generated images. Oklahoma voters may see doctored photos of state candidates (like those running for governor or Senate) in fake campaign flyers or "breaking news" screenshots. For example, recent false claims have included AI images of candidates appearing with controversial national figures.
"Mail ballots are being collected illegally ('ballot harvesting')"
This is a recurring theme. Rumors claim that operatives are going door-to-door or to nursing homes to "harvest" ballots and alter votes. This is often tied to false claims that the USPS is being blocked from mailing ballots to "unapproved" voters, though federal courts have blocked such executive orders.
