Done with acrylic paint! Sorry, it’s hard to catch good flat glare-free photos of the art, especially because I added gold pearlescence in the top coat. Got to experiment with glow paint for the first time which was awesome. Such a fun project.

I can turn night to day by drawing a circle in the sky, so could i theoretically do the opposit by drawing a crescent or something? I'm currently trying to find all of the fish in Haruka's revenge contract and i'm tired of rushing all over trying to find all of them before the sun rises

Well, I have a problem with fishing. I can't catch the biggest ones even though I arrive with my health bar still completely full, The larger ones must be jumped out of the water 3 times, The problem is that I can get them to do 2 Jumps but by the third one I never have enough life left to lure them close.

Simply the energy bar rises so quickly that to get closer to them I don't think there is any other way than to pull almost continuously, consuming the bar enormously.

Maybe I'm missing some mechanics, because otherwise it seems truly impossible. Please help!

I meant to post this a while ago (quite a long while honestly), but I got my first plushie of Ammy a while ago.

It's been a bit since I played just I was collecting art references but then I saw the description that only Evil Rao has the mole, and I was just hoping to ask for confirmation regarding that. Like I knew about the hidden eye (or lack of an eye) while Ninetails is in disguise but I always thought the mole was just part of Rao's design and it's hard for me to picture without it. Just sorta completes it I feel and would feel like a strange difference since the hidden eye at least has narrative purpose.

And just yeah the very small amount of screenshots and visuals of normal Rao's design available online make it a little hard to confirm. Sorry if this a bit of a silly specific question just yeah was wondering for the sake of accuracy when drawing and such, does good Rao really not have a mole?

In the final part of the mission where you are on the beams of the emperor's room with the spiders swinging, there is a normal treasure chest (not one that issun has to open) I don't understand how I could get there since there was a spider web blocking the way of what I think was the only connected beam, and looking at few gameplays on YouTube no one even noticed that chest

I think an Okami-style game set in a different mythological context would be really cool.

A falcon or scarab representing Horus or Ra fighting Apophis in a style reminiscent of hieroglyphs, perhaps the ravens Huginn and Muninn in a dual-character gameplay setup, holding back Ragnarok with a Viking art style a deer for Cernunnos, using the animation style of Cartoon Saloon films like Song of the Sea or Wolfwalkers battling Balor and his Fomorians, a serpent for Quetzalcoatl fighting a jaguar representing Tezcatlipoca, featuring a Mesoamerican art style and alebrijes instead of the Brush Gods, an owl representing Athena tasked with protecting a flawed hero, much like Amaterasu does with Susanoo in Okami; Sun Wukong. already a monkey, rendered in an ink-wash painting style and fighting the Bull Demon King, Ganesha as an elephant battling Ravana in the style of Indian tapestries....

so i'm currently in Tsuta Ruins and i don't know where to go. i can't go to the left because some weird wall monster is blocking it, can't go straight since the water dissolves my lilypads, and can't go right because after a while, there's this big ledge that i just can't get up (like seriously is there something i missed to make myself jump higher?????)

I like Day of Darkness as a concept but it kind of ruins the aesthetics of the game in all other areas if you want to explore before finishing the game.

I created a mod for the PC version of the game that adds an on-screen toggle, allowing you to disable it, just leave the area and come back and the dark sky is now normal

Before anyone asks, yes, this was made with Claude Code using the Opus 5.5 model, together with tools like Cheat Engine to identify where the game flags this behavior. I do have some coding experience, as I work as a software engineer, but I tried to keep the implementation as simple as possible, no AI-generated art or assets were used, its simply code.

I still haven't had time to test the rest of the game or the cutscene triggers, so I recommend only using this mod when Day of Darkness actually happens

EDIT: Since eveyone in this sub is an extremely ethical and right person with not a single bad choice and apparently i somehow hurt a lot of people and burned a few forests with a few promps and less than 15 lines of code i decided to delete the mod and keep it to myself, bye!

In my What If series I take games that don’t have music as part of their PS3 XMB previews and see which pieces from their soundtrack would work as their game preview.

This week I’m asking, What If Ōkami HD Had XMB Music? From the 5cd soundtrack I picked 15 pieces that I thought would work.
Let me know which is the best or if I missed something that works better.

(This was fun to do as the soundtrack is fantastic)

I feel like I could tighten up not back and forthing so much.
