Joke / Sarcasm 24 team playoff
So, good news, Buckeye Nation! If we go to a 24 team playoff next year, the natty is ours!
Winning natty’s with a new playoff format is our specialty!
Go Bucks!

At the Stadium 🏟️ This is me and my dad at the OSU Indiana game two years ago.
This was my first ever Ohio State game, it has been on my bucket list for a very long time. It’s a little embarrassing but I teared up when they sang the national anthem. The stadium is freaking massive! And we had really good seats, we were on the second tier right at the 50 yard line. It was such a good game!! And also that same weeekend we went to the browns Steelers game, we had tickets but one of my dad’s biggest clients found out we were In town and invited us to his box seats. It was the game where the browns upset the Steelers. It was honestly one of the best weekends of my life :)

General Final thoughts: I think Ohio State humbles Indiana
Indiana reminds me of us last year, great defense but offense has questions that don’t get answered until you face a legitimate threat. I think Matt Patricia is going to eat up Hoover and that RPO scheme to keep Hoover from turning it over.

General Here’s a few reasons as to why I feel that we will win big against Indiana tomorrow:
• Hoosers QB isn’t that good, despite the Hoosiers having big pass catchers like nick marsh & Becker, their QB sometimes either underthrows or over throws them the ball
• There were a few instances of where Indiana had trailed and nearly lost the game like the northwestern and Nebraska games for example indiana trailed in both of those games but they always score until very late in the game in which shows signs that Indiana has the natty championship hangover and that they’re not the same team like last year, and that the Hoosiers are not that scary of a team overall
• Their defense doesn’t strike any fear because in my opinion they don’t have the type of players, from the pass rushers to the DBs that don’t scare the opposing offenses, in which case should make our offense's job a lot easier tomorrow heading into the game
• Their 6-0 start to the season is a big fluke other than northwestern and Nebraska I feel was the big test, they actually haven’t played against any real competition yet until tomorrow lol
• Tomorrow is gonna be the game where JJ is going to have another 200 YD receiving game or maybe even 300+ YDs because JJ will absolutely torch indiana's DBs and i mean why not he’s JJ smith lol
• I feel that we’re going to be the team that stops indiana's big winning streak, Indiana won’t do anything much tomorrow which is why I have a lot of confidence that we’ll get the big win vs Indiana tomorrow in the big showdown, tomorrow should be a very easy game to win I don’t see tomorrow against Indiana as a tough game at all
just a few reasons as to why I feel that we’re still going to win tomorrow’s matchup, but GoBucks 🅾️-🙌🏿-🙏🏿-🅾️!🙂🌰🅾️

General Weak Link or Redemption Arc? Why All Eyes Are on Jermaine Mathews Jr.

Here is an overlooked storyline heading into the Ohio State-Indiana game: Jermaine Mathews' performance in the Big Ten Championship game was a key vulnerability Indiana exploited to secure the win. In that matchup, Mathews allowed 4 receptions on 4 targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in one of his roughest outings. Indiana excels at pinpointing opponent weaknesses, and they will likely target Mathews' matchup against star receivers Becker and Marsh—a battle Becker dominated in their last meeting. While Mathews' pass defense has been decent there is more to be desired (allowing 22 receptions on 31 targets for 182 yards with 3 pass breakups). Tackling mechanics also remain an issue, as he has a tendency to lower his head and miss the ball carrier. His performance could be a major factor in deciding this game and will hold significant weight for his NFL draft profile.
Will Indiana be able to exploit this matchup again, or does Jermaine Mathews bounce back on the big stage?

Injuries/Lineup I was very confident until I read that Jakobi and Siereveld are out
Jakobi is our only RB who really runs violently and never seems to lose yards or have no gain. I've seen several times it looks like it's going to be 2nd and 9 but Jakobi keeps pushing forward and instead of 2nd and 9 or 10 it's 2nd and 6. I would say that Siereveld is definitely the 2nd best lineman and he's not far behind Montgomery. I fear that Bo is going to put us in too many 2nd and 8 or 9s. Bey looks like he can either rip off an explosive run or screw up the read option and lose 5 yards. Also worried because this isn't 2024 or 2025. We can't count on the defense to win us games, only to keep us in games. Iowa didn't tell me that much because I think their QB Brown isn't very good.

CFP Competition If Ohio State earns an elite season, should the reward be a three-win title route?
In a hypothetical season where Ohio State earns a top position, I would want that achievement to produce a meaningful playoff advantage. Simply being one more team in a bigger field feels insufficient to me.
My independent eighteen-team proposal gives the two double-bye teams a three-win title route. Opening-round entrants need five wins. I prefer that clear separation, while recognizing that it puts more pressure on getting the top placements right.
Would that reward be too large, about right or less valuable than home-field advantage?

General Jeremiah Smith's runs vs Maryland reminded me of Ted Ginn Jr
While watching Smith pulling away from everyone all I could think of is how much that looked like classic Ted Ginn Jr. runs back in the day. The way players were just unable to properly judge his speed, making it look like they were just taking poor angles. He may not have the same track speed as Ginn, but I bet he's close. Incredible to see a guy with this kind of speed at his size, body control, hands and route running. Truly special talent.
