Good job it fell that way...

The stub tower at Sovereign House took a bit of a nose dive, luckily onto the roof of the East Wing, and not onto the operator. I bet there a few seconds of sheer panic when it started going...

I know norwich evening news can post some pretty dull steamers, but really, a sign pointing to a parking lot is worth an entire article?

Evri delays?

Could anyone tell me if there are delays at the Norwich Evri Depot?? I'm going crazy trying to get this package, ordered it over 2 weeks ago, it got to Norwich and went missing. Contacted the company, they refunded and reordered it and gave me free next day delivery and you guessed it, it's been delayed at Norwich and hasn't moved!! What is going onnnn

Question❓ Trans friendly gym facilities for relatively casual use?

Hey! So I'm a trans woman and I've been thinking recently that I should probably make a bit more of an effort to keep fit, so I've been looking around for a gym that I can join and maybe just pop into once or twice a week for a little while and use a few machines etc. I'm not looking to get ultra fit or whatever, just a standard gym where I can go to casually every now and then to keep myself active.

Thanks to the various new guidelines/legislation etc regarding toilets/changing rooms and general single sex facilities though, I'm finding that it feels like a bit of an ordeal to find somewhere affordable where I'm going to be able to comfortably use the gym without feeling like I'm having to jump through hoops or have the facilities I'm using be restricted/dictated by my identity. I'm also looking for somewhere where the vibes are generally good & inclusive etc - I'm visibly trans so I don't really have the option of going under the radar etc.

I've done some casual research into a lot of the chain gyms, but a lot of them don't seem to be particularly clear on what facilities are available in terms of inclusive/neutral changing facilities, and I've also heard bad things about Pure Gym's approach to this in particular.
I've also seen that there are some specifically trans inclusive fitness spaces/classes around, but these seem to be more expensive and more catered towards people wanting more than a casual run on a treadmill with some earphones in etc. They seem great, but I don't think it's what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any experience/advice regarding gyms around Norwich that might fit what I'm looking for please? It would be particularly helpful to hear from other trans folks if there is anyone around who has navigated this too! Thanks

Question about getting a blood test at the walk-in centre

Can anyone who has used the walk-in centre on Rouen Rd to get a blood test confirm whether the waiting times there are long (I believe there is a separate queue for blood tests specifically)? I know they open at 8 for the phlebotomy dept but should I get there before then?

Antenatal classes in Norwich – recommendations (or ones to avoid)?

I'm currently pregnant with my first baby and starting to look into antenatal classes in and around Norwich.

From what I've gathered so far, it seems that the NHS antenatal classes offered are all online? (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

I'd ideally prefer something in person, both for the practical side of things and for the opportunity to meet other expectant parents locally.

I've come across a few private options, but would love to hear people's experiences before committing to anything, especially as some of them can be quite expensive!

Has anyone attended any antenatal classes in Norwich or the surrounding areas that they'd particularly recommend? Equally, are there any you'd avoid or felt weren't worth the money?

Would also be interested to hear whether anyone found the NHS online classes useful, or if you felt that attending additional classes in person was worthwhile.

Thanks in advance! 😊
