Which army does the Egyptian theme better?
As someone that plays both armies, I’m unsure whether I think Necrons or k sons are a more interesting depiction of ancient Egyptian imagery/themes

The new necron point values are available HERE
Additional Rules documents can be found via warhammer-community:
Summary of all necron changes will be included in the pinned reply.

Do you dislike the lack of changelog for the core rules? How about the off-schedule unannounced stealth updates? Frequent errors, technical problems and crashes? Upset that Warcom is no longer actively updated, or that faction packs are being removed? Maybe you're just bothered that the core rules are not fully available anywhere besides the app.
Whatever the reason, the best solution is to submit a complaint or question to one of GW's official contact points, rather than asking about it on the sub.

Now that the first one is done, time to get through the other four.
Thought I'd share my recipes here if anyone cares:

Layer with thinned Lead Belcher
Highlight damaged areas with Mournfang Brown
Layer/Highlight with Stormhost Silver
Spot wash/streak with minimal Agrax earth shade, focusing around the damaged areas
Under skeleton;
Iron Warriors
Wash with Nuln Oil
Layer/Highlight with thinned Lead Belcher
Cover all over with Basilicanum Grey
Edge highlight with Iron Warriors
Skin:
Cadian Flesh Tone
Cover the "insides" and edges with Blood Angels Red/Sigvauld Burgundy/Contrast Medium (2:1:1)
Full wash with Targor Rageshade
Relayer Cadian Flesh Tone
Layer Cadian Flesh Tone/Palid Witch Flesh (1:1)
Layer Cadian Flesh Tone/Palid Witch Flesh (1:2)
Layer/Highlight Palid Witch Flesh
Ribcage Glow (which you can't see in these pics sadly)
Flood holes with white ink
Striking scorpion green
Use Contrast medium while the green is wet to thin down spots for more glow
Cartouche:
Black legion
Warpstone Glow
Layer moot green near the centre
Layer moot green/white scar (2:1) even more in center
Eyes/tubes:
Warpstone Glow
Dot eyes with Moot green

Since the Triarch Praetorians are our equivalent of Custodes, I thought of giving them a weapon in a similar vein as a Guardian Spear. What do you guys think?

So this is a sketch of my OC necron overlord. And I want to kitbash him using an indomitus overlord and/or Imotekh as a base and need suggestions of any capes on any models from any GW range that could be used to make the cape of his.
TLDR: Looking for a clean cape for indomitus overlord/Imotekh & I'm running out of ideas

Here's my first Necron painted, a Royal Warden for a painting competition at my local store. Theme was "green" and it didn't do too well with the popular vote but thought it might be appreciated here as I was extremely happy with him!

Now I will preface this by saying I’m on a losing streak. However, I have played a lot of games and have found that we are in a decent space.
What I’m putting here to ask is simple: what are we playing and running that has worked and what hasn’t?
Second question, what secret trick of the trade are people using that you’ve found little others use but works well for you ?
Fun place to discuss those weird and not often used tactics to help us all get better ! :)

Added stronger highlights to the robe tonight - love how it turned out!
Third pic is before highlights.

I am currently building up to my list and I realized that I really like the "endless legions" part of the necrons and not so much the "giant enslaved gods"/"mad killing machines" part of them: my preference is only thematic, but I would really love to be able to bring to the table a list that is somewhat viable without indulging too much on the destroyer element (also because a lot of detachment rules seem not to apply to them or to apply exclusively to them).
Thank you so much for any support, I'm still trying to figure out most of the stuff around here!

I am now at 18/19 models from the combat patrol painted! I had a lot of fun with this overlord and sculpting the flames around his head and the lava being drawn up into his resurrection orb
Only thing I've got left now is the Doomstalker and that will be my first ever box of minis fully painted!

Thanks for the positive feedback about my warriors last week.
Here are my three Skorpekh Destroyers which were nice to build and very satisfying to paint. Their stat line is really nice too!
(Scheme adapted from Kull92's Straukar but I wanted to make it simpler to help me get through more minis over time.)

I'm not convince for the spear, but I'll stop here.
