I got my centre in Jaipur (iON digital zone). Bro it was chill af😭 they didn't even do any checking. Like they asked "phone vgrh to nhi hai na" I said no and they let me enter, literally not even for formality they even touched me. Ig, alot of ppl must have cheated💔

My course was epigenetics, the questions were like 70-75% from assignments rest different. Also, I didn't know I was gonna get short answer type questions too😭 I prepared for MCQs only, so it got quiet difficult to remember and type the answer myself.

Just manifesting that everyone else from my course scores less so I can get good rank lol

Took a very difficult circuital course (50-50 pass rate) of 12 weeks exam's tomorrow on saptami of Durga puja no less (Idk if I will manage to even reach the exam hall amidst all that crowd). Ngl it was a pain trying to complete a weeks lectures within that week and submitting assignments, managed to pass the assignments at leasts. (Ai,yt)

I barely did 50% of the course (my hyperfixation on really understanding the concepts instead of practising concepts) and the assignment questions is making my head spin. I tried but the difficulty and procrastination, it will be a miracle if I can even pass let alone top.

I shouldn't be stressed all stressed out for a NPTEL exam like its my end sems but here I am.

Most of the questions will be based on the assignments, but 99% of them will have different numerical values. So, you shouldn't just memorise the options; you must understand the concepts and know how to solve the questions even when the numbers change.

Even for theoretical questions, the correct answer may be different from the assignment's “All of the above” option, as the other three options may be reversed or modified.

Understanding the assignments and being able to solve the questions with different numerical values can help you score more than 70% of the total marks. For the remaining 30%, just watch the lectures carefully so you can attempt those questions as well.

This pattern has been observed by my college mates who took different NPTEL courses but received question papers with a similar pattern.

The exam was between easy to moderate level in my opinion.

Some of the questions from the assignment came directly without changing of wording...but most of the questions were doable with elimination method as other 3 options in MCQ were very different for most of questions as compared to the other option.

MSQs were easy and out of those only 1-2 were little tricky and kinda trap ones.

Overall, doing assignments only fetches you a decent score. Doing current assignments + past assignment questions is more than enough for a decent score cause most of those question's wording changed.

If so how are you preparing for it? Are you only doing the assignments or you have gone through each and every video? Also is pyq gonna be any helpful. Drop your strategies and study hacks..some might find it helpful.

One of the questions in the paper had multiple correct answers.

The question was directly from the weekly assignment as well as the options. But the "not" part of the question was omitted in the exam, meaning there were 3 correct answers and one wrong.

I chose the wrong one, because that was the odd one out and you cannot select multiple options.

I have already informed them in their feedback form.

Hi guys I'm a btech third sem student I have successfully cleared 2 sources from nptel. One is learning english in hindi second is the problem solving through programming in c .

Here is the all the process from going to the paper to preparing it . It is truly based on my and my friends experience.

Preparing for paper

1. Assignments should be well done you should know the answer to every question from the assignment.

2. I use gemini to prepare for the paper i open a knew chat give it the paper syllabus and tell it to generate a quiz . Then after that I continue to give like quiz of 200 questions max difficult to moderate ones .

3 you should know the basis of paper like in c .you should know pointers arrays .

How to go for the exam

(my center was tcs ion so based on that).

1 carry a print of admit card/ hall ticket with photo.

2 you can wear any clothes but try wearing normal ones don't go for too fashion clothes.

3 carry college/ gov id with you . For me clg Id works .

Last one trick to know the exam difficulty. You can go on nptel sites and check like topper scores if scores are like good like top1 percent on 100 marks then the paper will easy af . If toppers like top1 percent getting 80-90 marks then paper will be moderate to difficult.
