Is anyone else’s room in Stetson West really cold?

Hey everyone for some context I'm returning to TJX for a financial analyst co-op. The co-op offers a full time return offer. When would I expect to sign and receive a full time return offer. Is the full-time return offer enough to live in Framingham?

Hey everyone! I'm currently a freshman at UConn looking into transferring to Northeastern for Fall 2027.

I was hoping some accepted transfer students could share their college GPA, high school GPA, extracurriculars, and whether they submitted SAT/ACT scores. I'm particularly interested in hearing from students who transferred after just one year of college.

I'm also curious about transfer credits. Did most of your classes transfer successfully? Were they applied toward major and NUPath requirements, or did some only count as general electives? How did Northeastern handle AP credits?

For anyone who transferred into the College of Science, I'd especially appreciate hearing about how your biology, chemistry, and writing courses transferred.

Lastly, how was your experience adjusting socially and getting involved on campus as a transfer?

Thanks for any insight!

Last week I posted about Ruggles, an app that connects you with people here who share your dorm, classes, shows, hobbies and other niche interests. 100 of you signed up. Thank you, genuinely.

So far: 1,350 tags added. The most popular show is Breaking Bad, the top hobby is the gym (obviously), and somehow Minecraft is the most popular game.

Many people asked about Android. A Google Play version is in the works, and for now it fully works in the browser.

It works best when more people are on it, so if you’ve liked it, sending it to a group chat or telling your friends would help a lot!

Hey Huskies,

I am a combined Physics major and have to take the required Electronic and Lab Courses (PHYS 2371 and 2372), but my co-op schedule does not align with them, as they are only being offered during the Fall, and I graduate in April 2028

I was wondering if any of you guys are facing the same problem. If so, I am attempting to make a petition to get it offered during Summer 1. With more people petitioning together, it has a better chance of getting approved. Here's the super quick Google Form to join in on petitioning.

I can not do co-op my last semester by Northeastern rules, so this makes it extremely tough to plan, as I also need to take Experimental Physics (PHYS 5318) when it's only offered in the spring.

Any other advice, let me know; it would be greatly appreciated :).

I’m currently on coop and am trying to choose between taking DS 4300 or CS 3650 next spring along with CS 3000(algos). The following professors are teaching systems lmk which one is is preferable:

iraklis tsekourakis(online)

Ferdinand Vesely

Peter Desonoyers

Haven’t heard much about iraklis but I do know he is also teaching the class online right now as well.

Just asking if any ed applicants have received their review yet, kinda getting worried they’re going to give it the day before and it’ll be too late to switch to a different ed if necessary. Do any current students know how long it took for them to get theirs? Thanks to anybody who responded!

Thinking about picking one of these as my final EECE tech elective, has anyone taken either of these classes and can speak on how they are in terms of workload, difficulty, etc.?

If not, any recs on what that last tech elective should be?

Who is the best prof to take for Orgo 2 between Jude Mathews, Ken Chung, and Grace Ferris? I had Carla Staton for Orgo 1 but she isn’t listed as the prof for any of the spring 27 orgo 2 sections. I’ve seen pros and cons for each on RMP so wondering what the consensus here is !

I’m on co-op and work remote some days and I sometimes work from snell.

What time do classes normally end in the mornings? When I get my Dunkin I don’t want to go when there’s 100 other people

Thanks 🙏

Hey everyone, im trying to transfer out of my small university after my freshman year, and northeastern is my top choice. I was hoping for some advice on what else to be working on.

Long story short I did not try at all in high school because I was under the impression I wasn't going to go to college at all. My stats from high school are:

3.0 GPA

24 ACT

no extra curricular or APs

Some things I might have going for me though is being from a rural area in Tennessee, finishing high school online (or that might be worse, but I was thinking since it was a self paced program it looks good,) and I grew up in Connecticut before moving to the south, so my essay could have something about wanting to back to New England idk. From my middle school time I also have a lot of first place awards I won in our robotics program (Vex IQ), and idk how much middle school accomplishments would help but I figure it shouldn't hurt to mention them?

So far from my freshman year of college:

4.0 first semester gpa

im retaking my act twice and my sat twice to get that up

founded a trivia based gameshow for the school with a friend as well as a comedy channel as a passion project

founding member of the schools golf club as soon as that's up and running in a few weeks

member of the Content Creators residential learning community (I figure this would look good cus it shows I use the schools resources and promote the school on my own time)

Other than trying to keep that 4.0 and bringing up that ACT/SAT score, does anyone have any other advice to give?

Hi, I’m in the fall cycle but I have an internship that ends the first week of August. Does anyone know any companies that will allow me to delay my start week by about 4 weeks for co-op?

Anybody need a hitting partner on Boston campus? Freshman girl looking for preferably underclassmen intermediate players. Emphasis on intermediate. I missed the deadline for registering for the club team and I needa lock in. hmu!

does anyone know any cheap places i can get my haircut. i really don't care if the cut is actually good or not as long as it's cheap

So I was playing around with the blind wand in my room while laying on my bed, and it got jammed. I tried to unjam it, but then the thing just broke off. What do I do? I don't want to get in trouble or have anything happen to me...

Can I go to health services or something? My friend is convinced I’m shorter than I say and this has been going on for years I need to put it to rest

within the last 24 hours my apple pencil (gen 2) has gone missing. I last had it in room 129 of Hurtig Hall however I was unable to find it there today. i’ve checked all the lost and found locations on campus and no luck. it was in a light blue rubber case/sleeve thing (photo in comments). it’s how I take notes, how I do all my assignments, if you find it or have it please contact me ASAP. I know this is a long shot but it’s worth a try. I just want it back, no questions asked.

Real Boston!!!
