Tried to re-make the Gilbert Arenas Hibachi one and this is what compares points wise in the builder.

It’s not even close. It is such a large difference in builder points idk how you justify this other than a cash grab. Makes me feel like my previous builds are unplayable.

I thought this would be slight upgrades to builder points not over 100 points of a difference!! Idk what to do with this man. It shouldn’t be this big of a difference.

Just finished a REC game with my crew (which is not full of particularly great players) and got matched up against 3 Klay Thompson builds, a Kawhi build, and a Dwight Howard build. Every single one maxed out at 99 OVR. And there’s literally nothing you can do. Every shot from the Klays go in and if they miraculously don’t, the Dwight build gets every board without fail. Everyone already knew these builds were going to make things hard but this is straight up ruining the game already unless they can somehow make it even (which they won’t because they mean to make it a fucking cheat code) So to anyone else willing to stomach this bs that 2K shoves down our throats, best of luck

Man I'm so glad i grinded to level 40 in season 1 just to have my character regress. It's such a refreshing twist on video games, because I'm always used to playing games where I'm just leveling up. Never down! Amazing!

I also think its so much fun with that every new season - the season pass to has tokens, synergy spots to make my 99 build feel less like a 70 build.

I really hope that with all these amazing additions to 2k. That the fellas over at 2k HQ starts thinking about requiring our mycareer players to have to pay memberships to the Gatorade gym, and the rec, like it's the YMCA. Wouldn't feel real if I couldn't spend 2000vc everytime I had to do a workout, or 500 vc to walk into a rec court.

I hope they really consider this for the future of gaming

Season 2 we should waste no money and save it for gta 6 this game sucks . The state of the REC is an absolute travesty. ZERO point of playing REC without a squad. Absolutely exhausted of being teamed up with teammates spamming timeout, not playing d, taking jumpshots over multiple defenders and then talking garbage on their mic. If I had more time I'd upload a highlight tape of this bull****.

I know this is nothing new but I must have been on some sort of run. Most of season 1 was a good experience for me. The last 48 hours has been a total joke and waste of time. I could be getting paid to play this garbage and would still delete the game off my console.

I had my run. Got my build to a 99 and played with some really great players. I've played every NBA 2k literally since NBA 2k. Yes, the very first release on DC. This is rock bottom.

Latest patches ruined the game, it’s back to bullshit basketball again.

I’m a purple plate 6’3 guard and I played against young Kobe in theater. The first thing I noticed was the physicals, height, wingspan are insane. They can pretty much keep up with you on defense no matter how bad of a defender they are. If you thought chase downs were bad before it’s going to get worse but they’re not impossible to beat. I actually won the game but the major difference is animation, I knew my animation and how to use them and he didn’t. If somebody on a goat MP ever masters their animations or if they make a goat MP with solid animations (curry, kyrie, etc) the game is probably pretty much cooked. Also if you max your season pass and make one these abominations you’re the reason why the game is in the state it’s at.

Not going to sit here and go on a passionate rant on how predatory 2k is for this. I continue to see people say the builds are fair and balanced. Due to the fact it’s animation locked. The reason why this community is cooked. Is due to the sheer incompetence and ignorance of many. 2k a year or 2 ago. Revealed the season pass, to my knowledge. They stated it would be purely cosmetics that’s it. That was 2k24, over the years they’ve gradually added more. Like cap breakers, +1’s, now we have badge tokens, slots and GOAT BUILDS. What I and many are saying is. Things can get real ridiculous and predatory fast. Not telling anyone how to spend their money or how to have their fun. Just understand the next 2k games we get will be the 2k this community deserves. If your justification for GOAT BUILDS are them being animation locked. I got some bad news for you 🤣

92 perimeter, 93 steal, and 93 block on a 6’9 swing with 7 ft wingspan. 85 agility is not possible at this weight in the custom builder. Custom builds can get to a 83 speed with the lowest weight, AK gets a modest 80 with room for one cap. He also gets 85 3 pter with shooting spec for silver deadeye. +5 for contacts if you want them (but not necessary imo). +5 caps on interior for wall up and +5 on d board for 90 board (hof sync). The only swing build that is comparable are the 99 blocks builds that are “nerfed” considering 99 dunk isn’t as good as it used to be. His jumper is comparable to wnba 7 but it grades slightly better even at max speed.

He even gets 90 driving layup with 5 caps which is insane. Custom builds are going to be completely dead by season 5 when 2K releases real goats in their prime.

Just knowing that the build i will make will become obsolete once they release the same type of goat build in the upcoming season.
Or the fact that current goat build become obsolete once better goat builds with META SIGS(they will do it) come in futur season

just makes me NOT want to spend any dime Nor spend my available VC to ANY builds.

Exemple :
We got young kobe
Meaning they will release a better kobe in the futur

We got dirk
They will release Jokic which is similar to dirk but jokic will have 90 standing dunk at LEAST and 95 strengh, all of which current dirk doesnt have.

We got wilt , wow crazy amazing pure inside post scorer
they will release prime shaq at the same height , but prime shaq gets 99 strengh instead of 95 wilt have, prime shaq also will have more than just 70 mid range etc...

I wanted to make a 7'4 pure inside post scorer but
They will release yao ming at 7'6 a monster pure inside post scorer with 99 finishing and some bullshit like 90 mid range which the 7'4 pure inside cant get

The snowfall crew has had multiple groups cheating since 11am. We have played them 6 times and have lost all 6 six times. Is there any way to report them other than
the in game option. This is getting out of hand. They already have 500 games played in the new season because every game last 2-3 mins.

If you were wondering why everyone was up in arms against goat builds this is for you.

In myteam:
Cards are released weekly, to avoid constantly putting out better n better cards 2k puts out these fake cards. Their overall is at the highest lvl BUT no animations or stats fall short of the high tier cards have.

In mycareer modes after adding goat builds:

They seem weak, not complete. Like “young kobe” build or dirk some look useful but they all have weaknesses is what we are supposed to think. But as you can see with the lebron build, the drose, or the center builds. They will power creep the goat builds just like myteam cards.

We all know how this community is there will be a Goat build thats better than the rest n 2k will not nerf it. We will pretty much have all star teamup in rec n triple threat parks getting u to spend 100 on every new meta goat build just so u can keep up with the best players even tho u just swimming around silver gold or purple lobbies

In all seriousness, think about how MyTeam is monetized. It is designed to keep you spending money each season chasing the next best card.

At season 1, the best cards are no more than 95 OVRs that don’t provide a huge competitive advantage. By Season 8, the best cards are 99 OVR goat cards that have zero weaknesses and 20+ Legend badges.

Now apply that to Park. You’re gonna need to open packs to pull archetypes to spend money on builds that provide a competitive advantage every season.

In season 1, the Kawhi, AK, and Penny archetypes might seem lackluster and underwhelming. Just wait until they start releasing broken ones like MJ, Lebron, KD, Wemby, etc, and lock them behind paywalls like packs

Which one yall think I should make? I mainly play the 2 and 3, the finishing on the Kobe build is crazy but the defense on Kawhi is insane
