I would like to apologize for my initial defensiveness on a post that was a repost of my post about how Butters negatively impacted Heidi x Cartman on South Park (now South America) in the r/hatethissmug subreddit. I had no idea what this subreddit was and thought someone was trying to cyberbully by captioning my post with "Trigger Warning: long and boring". At first I was confused as to why I was the one in the wrong for calling out someone for doing this, but found out along the way that this subreddit is not to be malicious but to rather joke about those who take their favorite pieces of media a little too seriously--and admittedly I do go overboard with taking my favorite things seriously sometimes. Sometimes I go into analysis because I can't think of a shorter way to explain sometimes and I do have a very analytical mind. I also have trouble understanding if someone online is joking or not as I am on the spectrum, meaning I'm developmentally delayed as well.

Long story short, I'm sorry for getting defensive underneath this repost of my post that I didn't realize was all in good fun. :(

This isn’t the most egregious post i’ve seen on the subreddit, but it did make it click that McCarthy might be THE writer for a certain kind of urban effete guy with a fascination with Western Americana coded masculine signifiers. Half the subreddit drinks bourbon, attempts smoking every now and again, wears boots/hat/denim every day if they live even a mile south of the Mason Dixon or anywhere a day’s drive from the Rockies.

I can’t really stand to look at this subreddit because it makes me sick, but might make a decent audio version. Surely there’s some darkness in the world of tinned fish.
