CONTESTANTS IRL an interesting find
so i’m just getting into this show called “The Floor” where you battle each other based on your knowledge of your chosen category. so I see Anna Leigh is here and her category is competition shows. someone went against her in her own category and she lost because she couldn’t name The Challenge! 😂 obviously this is from before she was on but so crazy to see as a challenge fan.

PODCAST Lete on The Death, Taxes & Bananas Podcast
Lete was a guest on Johnny (Bananas) podcast. They discussed her time on Season 42: Cutthroat, until Episode 12. As a reminder, everything is not included in the notes, especially since this episode is over 2hrs long. If you want to hear everything that was said, watch the full episode.
Some Highlights:
- Lete says that she was hired at WWE because of her social media following. She admits that she wasn't that good of a wrestler because she was trying her best to not get injured. Despite her efforts, she still got multiple concussions
- Lete competed in pageants, winning Miss Indiana USA. She also loves jiu-jitsu
- Lete says that a lot of people didn't like her initially. Bananas believes its because Lete doesn't need to be in a group or appease others, which is intimidating to people who have to be surrounded by others and protected by numbers
- Lete denies saying that Production cheated for Bananas during his elimination with Cedric. However, she stands by the fact that the game was malfunctioning and they kept going. Bananas disagrees saying that the buttons worked for him, but admits that they did pause the game. Lete insists that after the pause, the buttons were still malfunctioning
- Lete admits that its difficult to find people in the house to have stimulating conversations with, but she was able to have those conversations with Sydney. They would talk about travel and academia. She likes that Sydney is accomplished and doesn't care about what others think of her
- Lete says that the rookies on Blue Team did initially look to the Vets on their team for leadership but Cara Maria, Nelson & Brad never stepped up. She accepted that they were never going to win as a team after the Diving Challenge
- Lete explains that the main reason why she wasn't being put into eliminations is because no one wanted to risk facing her in a physical elimination. Bananas agrees and adds that staying out of a elimination is a sign of a good game. Someone who sees a lot of eliminations doesn't have the athletic abilities and/or the social game to keep themselves out
- Bananas believes that Cara Maria should've nominated herself as captain instead of voting for Adrienne. Lete says that the Orange Team making "Vote for Cara Maria as Captain" posters didn't help with that, it actually raised suspicions within the Grey Team. Bananas claims that the posters were a joke for tv, but Lete didn't find it funny
- Lete's parents did not like the Underwear Gate Episode. They didn't like that there was a conversation about her sucking d*ck on tv. Lete re-iterates that she is still a virgin, but she does do other things. She clarifies that rumors about her eating ass are untrue
- Bananas defends his actions with the underwear saying that it was funny and for tv. Lete pushes back saying that it wasn't for tv, he made it about himself and it was confusing. She apologized to Anna Leigh afterwards
- Lete caught on that Tori/Michele were trying to get her as a nominee, so she flipped the vote to Cara Maria as payback. Bananas denies being involved in Michele/Tori's plan to get Lete & Anna Leigh as nominees. He wanted Cara Maria & Cassidy as nominees
- Lete did not expect Anna Leigh to go off on Cara Maria during the deliberation. She admits that Anna Leigh did make some solid points. She says that the argument between Anna Leigh & Cara Maria continued even after the deliberation was done
- Bananas believes that the competition that Cara Maria was winning against in the past isn't the same as today. He names people like Jemmye, Marie, Amanda & Ashley as women that Cara Maria was beating. He adds that he doesn't get to live off of his past like she does
- Lete explains that when they were talking about voting for a new captain, Adrienne swore on her mom's grave that she would never use the excuse of "never going into elimination" as a reason to send Lete in. Adrienne going back on her word is why Lete was soo upset
- They both believe that Adrienne threw Lete into elimination to check her ego. Bananas says that Adrienne was captain in name only, and was chosen because she was the most agreeable option
- Lete says that Adrienne did not know that she was good at puzzles, because Cara Maria & Cassidy also took credit for completing the puzzle during the daily. She also doesn't think that risking your best player right before the final is a good decision as a captain
- Bananas asks Lete to describe their showmance in 3 words. She chose: spicy, goofy, calming

DISCUSSION Do y’all think Josh, Leo, and Nelson will be back?
Josh definitely shouldn’t be. We don’t know what Leo did but assuming tore up the house with Nelly, or got in a physical altercation with Josh. Do you predict any or all of them will be invited back on the show?
I’m highly doubting Josh will be- that would be absolutely insane. But I really hope Nelson is. And Leo I don’t really care either way.

DISCUSSION Victor from The Traitors: New Blood would be so chaotic on The Challenge.
I could also picture Jay, Katie, Mark Xavier and Wyatt. I wonder if future seasons will try to pull from New Blood.
Victor has been single handedly carrying this season for me. It's shocking to see him be so right about everything and have no one listening to him AND thinking he's a traitor lmao. Xavier and Mark would be physical beasts. Jay is messy as hell and Katie would probably have a nervous breakdown.

DISCUSSION Lete is not a great fit for The Challenge
I like Lete. I am not a hater. Hear me out on this one.
Go back to the beginning. Who were the challengers back in the day? Real World and Road Rules cast mates. Were they a perfect approximation of the general public? Of course not. Was there a feeling though that any of these people you could find at a nearby bar, club, party, whatever? Yes. They seems like maybe exaggerated personalities but semi-normal people.
Now look through the past couple dozen seasons. Who are the dominant icons? Bananas, CT, Jordan, Wes, Cara Maria, Tori, Laurel, amongst others. Successful challengers are either people like Bananas who are pretty good at most things but masters of none or people who are excellent at some things but don’t dominate everything.
Take Jordan. Freakish endurance. Finals king. But if the challenge or elimination is a puzzle could win or lose depending on competition. If he’s put in a bruiser elimination like a hall brawl, backpack, pole wrestle there are quite a few guys who may beat him. That’s what makes his wins so great. He is not invincible.
Sydney, if she makes it in some more seasons, I could see being like a Jordan. Excellent at some things. House drama. But not invincible depending on the challenge/elimination.
Lete on the other hand is invincible. Strength, size, endurance, agility, puzzles, and she brings some house drama.
The whole chessboard of the challenge where all the pieces have different strengths and weaknesses just goes out the table. She has no weaknesses.
In my mind if this is where they want to go from a casting perspective then why not just stack the house full of the most insane freak athlete Olympian gifted people that exist? That just seems to lose the relatability that is The Challenge.
So I like Lete. She is fun to watch. She is a great competitor. But challengers should be scared of something. There should be certain challenges / eliminations they hope for and some they fear. Most eliminations should begin with people thinking both sides have a chance.
It almost seems like The Challenge has been like an amateur street basketball game for eccentric personalities and all of a sudden they cast LeBron James.
