1- Better writing. Ed Boon needs to stop resetting everything all the time, as it throws character development down the drain. Furthermore, constant resets strip character deaths of any real impact.

2- A return to a dark aesthetic. Mortal Kombat 1 is far too colorful, which can be quite off-putting.

3- A tournament. Mortal Kombat simply isn't Mortal Kombat without the tournament.

4- Stop charging for basic character cosmetics. Charging for full skins is one thing, but charging for such rudimentary items is absurd.

5- Retain the few positive elements introduced in Mortal Kombat 1—specifically its gameplay. While the story may not be great, the gameplay itself is solid.

6- Only charge for guest characters from outside the Mortal Kombat universe. It’s understandable to charge for characters from other franchises, but charging for characters that belong to the Mortal Kombat series itself is absurd.

I believe Mortal Kombat can still be saved; it just requires more care and better handling. Warner Bros. mistreated the franchise significantly, but perhaps things will change now that Warner has been acquired by Paramount.

What about you? What do you think Mortal Kombat needs to save the franchise? It’s clear that the series is currently in a rough spot.

I feel he would had been a good fit for the roster.

I mean i hate that they make challenges and other stuff in invasions really hard but this little son of a biscuit (or nut) is like the worst... How is something that small on a robotic vacuum cleaner that tough!? Who's idea was this any!?

First off it’s hilarious seeing Noob in a hoodie. But, arguably the best feature MK4 introduced to the series was alternate costumes for the characters. In some of the costumes, they would have the characters in more relaxed attire that felt separate from what they would usually wear while fighting.

In the 3D era, it seem like the concept of having more civilian or casual clothes would blend into some of the characters regular attire, with Deadly Alliance showing Sonya’s costume’s with more a military but casual influence, Johnny Cage’s tuxedo reflecting his actor status, and even Kung Lao’s attire had a more laid back appearance that reflected his life as a monk.

Modern games have done this as well with the farmer Jax costume in MKX and Kenshi’s and Johnny Cages outfits in MK1. While they don’t have to be their main attire, I think it’s cool to have costumes for the characters that can reflect more of their lifestyle outside of tournament or fighting, and it can humanize them a little more.

Thoughts on this? Would you like to see more casual clothing for the characters?

Do you remeber the first character you ever played as? My first Character was Sonya Blade from Mortal Kombat (1992) I actually won the whole game with her once too🎮🕹

Could just be me

How would everyone feel if mk13 is the next game instead of injustice 3

I bought MK11 ultimate (through the injustice 2 + MK11U bundle) on xbox one a few days ago. and today i beat kronika as shao kahn. damn that boss fight was stressful af

Its hilarious to me.

8 arms that’s right

First time I get on in like 2 years and I can’t find a single match, I can see that there are 1200 players online but I can’t ever find a match. I’m on PC.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I enjoy both games, and I wanted both movies to be great success and open the doors for more in the future.

There's no way someone can say Street Fighter is a better movie. I won't get into the details, but if anyone wants to chime in, please do

Are there many people playing MK10? Is it very different from MK1? Would a lot of what I learn in MK10 be useless as I eventually transition to MK1 and games that come afterward? Do the characters themselves change very much?

I know a lot of people hate MK1 but I'm not sure what the consensus is on MK10. Pretty sure MK11 is widely disliked. I hear a lot of good things about MK9 but that game doesn't seem likely to have a strong online presence at this point.

Any insights are appreciated!!

Please I need to know

ok so now that the movie is on hotstar i am planning to watch it however, i have never played any of the MK games so if someone can fill me up on the lore and things i should know before watching? That would be much appreciated!

i want to watch the movie for 2 reasons:

1. it has karl urban

2. the trailer looked cool

thanks in advance ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝

Im on ps5 so if you have any combo suggestions feel free :D

What is everyone’s consensus with cameo characters from other franchises dont get me wrong i loved playing as freddy, jason, letherface, ghostface and peacemaker but i wouldve rather preferred if they added characters we havent played as in a while like d’vorah, kotal khan the komabt kids or jade couldve been fun additions mk1 deals with a multiverse so every character technically still exists in some fashion
