Culture The Meme Is the Message

Post image
0 Upvotes

You don't need to read 500 pages of political theory to start questioning the world. Sometimes, all it takes is a meme.

Make fun of the billionaire preaching hard work from his yacht. Mock the politician promising a brighter future while your generation can't afford a home. Turn the absurdity of unpaid internships, rising prices, and politicians' empty promises into jokes people can't ignore.

Humor spreads. Ideas spread with it. A teenager laughs at a meme today, questions something tomorrow, and eventually starts seeing patterns they were never encouraged to notice. That's how political awareness can grow, one joke at a time.

And don't underestimate the power of a generation that knows how to make anything go viral. Those who shape the world benefit when you treat its problems as normal, inevitable, or too complicated to understand. Make those problems visible. Question the things everyone tells you to accept. Share the facts behind the punchlines.

A meme won't overthrow an unjust system. But it might plant a question that propaganda, apathy, and a lifetime of bad explanations struggle to erase.

If the world is absurd, make the absurdity impossible to ignore.

While i look so normal, and how the majority of yound men look like. I hate how it’s permitted to call a kid like that. And always the ugly pervert looking men. This should be stopped. This was just 10min ago i was with my gf which is weird and if it ever happened to you in another city please lemme know. It makes me wonder how could women live with that whilte it feels uncomfortable for men .idk how to stop this shit.but everyone shoulld be out comfortably without any problems especially when they are wearing normal clothes

AskMorocco I’m (27M) starting to resent my unemployed wife (23F), but I’m worried she’s depressed.

My wife hasn’t worked for over two years. Until recently, she’s been relying on savings and support from her parents, but that’s dried up.

I’m now covering all our living expenses on a fairly modest salary, and the financial pressure is overwhelming.

I’ve also been applying for jobs on her behalf, submitting over 30 applications recently.

Today I came home from work, having stopped to buy groceries, and found her asleep in bed again. I immediately felt resentful because I feel like I’m carrying all the responsibility.

I started applying for more jobs, and she asked why I wasn’t cooking dinner. I responded passive-aggressively because I felt she should be taking more responsibility at home while I’m working and paying for everything.

She picked up on my frustration, cooked dinner in a bad mood and went straight back to bed.

The complicated part is that I think she’s depressed. She’s originally from Morocco, has no family here, feels isolated, sleeps excessively, barely eats and has previously expressed suicidal thoughts.

I love her deeply, but I’m becoming exhausted and resentful. Part of me thinks she’d be happier returning to Morocco, but I’m also terrified of separation and losing our relationship.

Am I unreasonable for expecting her to contribute more? How do I balance supporting a potentially depressed spouse with protecting my own mental health and financial stability?

TL;DR: I’m the sole provider for my unemployed wife and feel increasingly resentful about carrying the financial and household responsibilities. However, I’m concerned she’s depressed and struggling with life in the UK. I love her but don’t know how to support her without sacrificing my own wellbeing. Looking for advice from anyone who’s experienced something similar.

Good day Moroccan ladies

I kept seeing this ad for product for a hammam ritual which have some claims to brighten pigmentation, get rid of strawberry skin etc.

Is the claims inflated or is the skincare benefits legit? Here is a pic of the products. It includes a kessa glove.

Travel Travel Recommendations

Hi everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for places to visit in Morocco. I am a female working from home, so I’d love to find places where I can spend a few days working during the week and other places that I can explore on the weekends when I am not working.

I’m looking for somewhere with nature, beaches, and a calm atmosphere.

I’m not really into noisy or crowded places. I just want to go on walks, read books and forget about capitalism for a bit ( Hopefully )

I’d also love recommendations for places with good Wi-Fi and accommodation where I can comfortably work remotely.

IMPORTANT DETAIL : I don’t have a car

AskMorocco I built a first aid app after years volunteering with the Red Cross

Hey everyone!

After spending several years volunteering as a first aider with the French Red Cross, I eventually moved back to Morocco. That's when I started noticing something that really concerned me ; many people here don't have a strong first aid culture and often don't know what to do when someone close to them faces a medical emergency.

What if someone close to you suddenly has a cardiac arrest? What if your child starts choking? In those first few minutes, knowing what to do can make a huge difference, yet many people have never been taught how to react in these situations.

That's what motivated me to build iS3AF, a first aid app designed to help people learn how to respond to emergencies and access practical first aid guidance when they need it.

iS3AF is available on both iOS and Android:

Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.is3af.app

iOS: https://apps.apple.com/fr/app/is3af-first-aid/id6807176864

I'm sharing it here because I'd genuinely love to hear your feedback. I'm especially interested in what you think is useful, what's confusing, what's missing, and what would make the app more helpful.

You can leave your feedback in the comments here on Reddit or use the feedback form directly inside the app.

This is a project I'm passionate about, and my goal is to help make first aid knowledge more accessible and hopefully help more people feel prepared when an emergency happens.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out!

Best regards,

Economy affordable products and the out of stock " agenda"

Every time I find a product I genuinely love it goes out of stock and just never comes back. Like why is it so hard to find something that works and actually be able to repurchase it without risking contraband or fakes?

We seriously have a problem with access to affordable products and clothes and so much more and I really want to emphasize affordable because what’s the point of finding an alternative if it costs three times as much?

AskMorocco Psychologist or psychiatrist in Kénitra/Rabat?

I'm a student considering professional mental health support, but I'm not sure where to start. Should I see a psychologist or a psychiatrist first?

Any recommendations for affordable, trustworthy professionals or public services in Kénitra or Rabat? I'd appreciate hearing about your experiences and consultation prices.
