MHGenU Gammoth doesn't appreciate it when you abandon her quest!
She REALLY hates it!

I'm not saying rey dau will win in a fight but In theory, rey dau would be able to tank the gravity beams

I would give it a Blood Moon version that leans more into the werewolf aspect

Hey everyone! I started this as a personal project to see how far AI-assisted development could go on PS5, and to learn things I can apply to future projects. I’m excited to share the first release of MHP3rd PS5, an independent port of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. based on Yakumo.
Some of the features:
There’s also a built-in web settings menu. Press L3 + R3 during gameplay to open it. It’s available in English and Spanish, and lets you adjust video, controls and camera, audio, acceleration, and online settings without editing config files.
For ad hoc multiplayer, you can enable online play, set your nickname and server, check the connection status, and turn on diagnostic logging. Cross-play with PPSSPP on PC and Android.
The project is built locally from source and requires your own game files. The repository does not include the game ISO, extracted game data, or textures.
Source and installation instructions: github.com/elaporta/mhp3rd-ps5
Note: A jailbroken PS5 is required to run this project.
Thanks to everyone behind Yakumo and everyone who helped test the project. Feedback is welcome!

So it just came to my attention that MH wilds is a nod to the Norse Mythology. With a lot of things i hadn’t noticed till just now.
The Arkveld Hammer is loosely based on Mjolnir Thor’s Hammer.
Arkveld with his very Nordic design is based off of Níðhöggr the Dragon that is Gnawing on the Roots of the World Tree.
The Ruins of Wyveria is a Map loosely based on the World Tree Yggdrasil itself.
Which makes me think, in Ascendance will we encounter a Monster that is based on Odin? Maybe even see the Return of Dalamandur as a Nod to the World Serpent?
My head at this moment is going a Mile a minute and I’m thinking about these what if’s now.

If anyone ever wonder what the Desire Sensor is, it’s breaking the head for an 85% chance at receiving a horn and getting 3 mantles instead.
I love Monster Hunter.

Another slap-on redesign for my favourite monster. Based it heavily off the Grongigas Hammer's design. More to come!

As somebody whose first MH game was MH4U I was ECSTATIC when Gore Magala showed up. I fought that bastard so many times in 4U I could hunt it in my sleep. When I saw people complaining about how hard he was I just giggled cause his movement is almost literally the same, I don't think I even took much damage when I fought him. It was like seeing a friend you haven't talked to in 10+ years.

In my personal experience, i found more enjoyable to use the 3DS buttons or ergonomy for games like MH4U for some reason, whereas the PS4 gamepad didn't click to me as much with games like MH3U/MH3G for Wii U. You will call me crazy but i connected some cheap aftermarket controller i bought to use with my PS3 and i found that quite better despite limitations like not being able to move in all directions (only 8) or low quality materials. Also i had a rad experience playing MHP3rd with Yakumo on my phone with just a touchscreen and the buttons properly configured for a comfortable reach (codm got me used to the phone claw lol), being able to move the camera freely made the experience incredible.
Some Yakumo footage i recorded in the video (don't expect pro gameplay, im a beginner).

the next area I’m doing is the swamp area which I have started with barlagual. I’m open to ideas (niche monsters are preferred)

It took me almost a month, mostly due to procrastination, but i finally did it. And yaknow what, i kinda like it. Very proud of myself, maybe ill try customizing my other sketchbooks using different monsters.
the last picture is what remained of my customizing trials, including an unused hellblade glavenus and an unfinished acidic glavenus.

I really enjoy it. The combat doesn't feel quite as.. impactful? I suppose? It doesn't feel like I'm lugging around a huge weapon (switch axe main) that slams into the monster. I've read about other people having a similar experience with Rise after coming from world, but does this change later into the game? (I haven't played much yet since I just started university.)
But anyway, as a person who LOVES movement in games, Rise is a complete breath of fresh air from world, with the wirebugs and the convenience of palamutes. Plus, not having to track every monster to max (or remember their spawn locations) is a really nice change of pace. Plus, I feel like the combat feels so much more consistent, where before I would occasionally get hit by an attack that I know I should've dodged through or been out of, I feel like in Rise what I see is exactly what I get.
What did you guys think about your change from World to Rise? Anyone else having similar experiences, different experiences, or other thoughts?
(I would've gone straight to Wilds but I already had Rise and I'm kinda broke, but I'm excited to experience the switch from World & Rise to Wilds, since I've heard it's a massive step up in QoL & branches the combat of the two together quite well!)
