Took advantage of Home Depot deals & ordered my first Milwaukee power tool set
I think it’s not bad for $300 dollars right ?
$200 for the stubby & 1 battery
Then $100 for 2 batteries & the charger (came with the 3/8 ratchet but I returned it that’s why it came to $100 for the battery charger set )

I am trying to inflate my tires and I notice that the inflator stops short of the psi and I have to keep hitting the start button. Is this normal?
I also noticed that when I inflated some tires and it shows the set psi, if I remove and reconnect it the psi is still short of the set psi. Often my multiple psi and I have a quick connect attached. Not sure the issue with this.

It’s not budging at all. Instruction manual was not helpful. Thank you in advance.

I bought a used heated vest to put under my carhartt as we come into winter with a big commercial job coming up meaning I will be out in the cold for 8 to 10 hours a day for the next 4 months. It came without a battery adapter so I grabbed the one from my heated hoodie to give it a shot and it didnt turn on. I tried the power supply on my hoodie and it won't turn on. Turns out the insulation inside the vest was flaking off and had caused a dead short that burnt out my power supply.
Edit My best guess is it was washed improperly at some point and it caused the wireing to start to degrade.

I've been thinking of getting a milwaukee. Ratchet, but what should I get the fuel? Or just the regular version, and do you guys think there's going to be better deals?

Here’s a few pictures of the tools required for my day to day duties in and out of the field :)
I have about a dozen m18 batteries all 12.0 and a few 8.0s
& about another dozen m12 batteries 4.0.
Going to start slowly phasing the high output and forged batteries into my rotation.
Lmk what yall think 🤙🏻

Anyone have recommendations on small storage boxes that close/have kids but also fit within the 3.5” L x 3.5” W x 2.5”D dividers (or even 3.5” L x 7” W”)? I want to compactly store loose items like butt connectors, cotter keys, zip screws, etc without them jostling around inside and getting loose.
Doesn’t have to be fancy, just has to work.

Looking to see if a XC4.0 battery will greatly help with Gen 1 right angle grinder stalling with CP2.0s. Obviously a XC5.0 will be better but will a XC4.0 be a big enough upgrade? I got a great deal on a 4.0 that’s why I ask. I do see the XC5.0 deals are great now but I don’t have a need for that many extra batteries.

I’m moving overseas in less than two weeks, and have no current projects. I have m12 and m18 5.0 batteries. The shipping company is requiring me to have the batteries below 25%. Is there a way to safely discharge the batteries without sitting there running my tools?

Wondering if there is a bolt replacement or makeshift one for this beveling part

Looking for advice. Weekend warrior, maintain and work on 3 cars at home, plus all other cars in extended family. Up until recently my impact line up was the Bauer 1/2 corded tank, and a Milwaukee 3/8 brushed m18 that I just sold off. Ratchet work was whatever voltage my wrist put out. Hardest torqued stuff I come across is seized axle nuts and suspension bolts, as well as the occasional balljoint press tool use but I do have a 20 ton press if I really need it anyway.
HD currently has:
M18 mid torque 1/2 with 5.0xc and the 12v 3/8 ratchet kit with battery also on sale for $400
M12 or M18 3/8 stubby and with free battery $250
M18 1/2 high torque with a 5.0xc also retails for $400.
So here’s my predicament. Do I go for the best value which is the ratchet and mid torque kit for $400 obviously cause that also opens the M12 platform door for me, or do I stick with the 3/8 stubby and save money now since it’s a workhorse it’ll handle most of my needs until I can get the high torque 1/2 and then officially have best of both worlds. Or do I sit on the deals and wait for the high torque to go on sale possibly on Black Friday and even then it might get sold out by the time I notice.
The m12 ratchet is cool but I’ve done it with a regular ratchet for so long that I’d prefer to make my choice based solely on getting the right impact gun to ideally do almost anything I need automotive related. I understand tight spaces where the stubby would fit but that’s why I like the mid torque gun as a be all end all for my needs.
Please help. These are sweet tools to have but not cheap and I’d rather not waste a few hundred on a tool that I won’t use as much as I think I would.
THANKS.

Hi all
Does anyone use the milwaukee heated lunchbox?
I currently have an aliexpress/noname brand chinese one that works really well but am thinking of getting the milwaukee.
My questions are
1) Can the unit plug into auxillary power? My chinese one just takes a 25 watt usb supply from the car so its battery can stay topped up as i drive between jobs.
2) Is the steel tray microwave safe? My chinese one is microwave safe so i can pre-heat the soup or meal before i leave for work in the morning.
3) What is the element wattage? The promo and instruction manual says it takes 2 hours to heat up. My chinese one will sit on warm mode which puts a constant 10 watts of heat in to keep the food around 30 degrees. Then when I put it into heat mode which I believe is about 60-80 watts, it only takes about 30-45 minutes to bring 1 litre of soup and vegetables up to super hot for eating.
I never use the auto-start timer. I find its easier just to start the heating when i know im going to be finishing a job in "about" half an hour. If i had to predict at 8am my lunch break might be at 1pm then i dont know how long each job is going to take and it would be a bit annoying if the food is too cold by the time i get to it at 2pm.
Edit: Just confirmed it has a "heat now" mode. But if its only a 30 watt element then its still a long time to plan ahead if it still takes 2 hours to heat.
Having the auxillary usb power is great because if i only eat half of it, i can still reheat it again later as the battery is still mostly full.
4) If you do have one, what are your thoughts on it? Do you like it? What kind of foods are you having in it?

Anyone else buy the three pack of glasses from
Home Depot? It’s nice because they’re cheap, but the ends of them rub off and the plastic beneath is a little sharp. Hoping Milwaukee will see this and fix.

I’m swapping over from Dewalt and got my first red tool, a m18 fuel 3/8 impact ratchet. I put the battery in and I can help but notice it wiggles around in there by a significant margin. My Dewalt tools don’t wiggle at all. Is this normal or is mine an exception?
