I’ve been lurking here for a while and figured it’s time to say hi.
I’m really enjoying building up a fleet and working toward bigger planes. I’m flying the Citation CJ4 right now, which is a blast, and I’m about 2/3 of the way to a 737. The Citation is actually more enjoyable that a bigger wide body in free flight mode, but something makes me want to buy an ever bigger plane. Now that the missions are longer I only get a flight or two in a day (with sim rate cranked up), so progress is slow, but I don’t mind.
The bugs can be aggravating, though. The worst one for me is landing after a long flight and not being able to shut down the engines, so the mission never completes and I lose the payout. For a while it happened to me about half the time.
Has anyone found a reliable workaround for that one? And what’s everyone else working toward in career mode?
Cheers

I was flying from budapest to basel this morning with the fslabs a321neo and during the descent i saw multiple clouds full of rain (visible moisture) and even considered turning anti icing on, but i always waited till the ecam ordered me to turn them on since ive always been confused on when to turn it on and never really dove myself into the topic, and on final my speed kept going down and down, ap disengaged and to/ga but nothing, i fell out of the sky and crashed. I suspect that it was most definitely icing, what do you think?

I'm a newbie IRL 787 pilot and I'm looking for a 2020 add on to more accurately model the 787. I have previously used the PMDG 737 and want something of similar quality that models all the systems correctly. any suggestions?

Was watching A330 Driver last night doing a tutorial on landing the PMDG 737. He advised keeping the thrust at around gross landing weight minus 4 for flaps 30 landing so I tried this and I had way too much thrust. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on this and when they typically deactivate A/T on approach

I’m looking to purchase a flight stick setup. I’ve already settled on the base: the MOZA AB9 FFB base. Primarily used for flight simulation in MSFS 2024, X-Plane 12, DCS, etc.
For the grip, I’m leaning toward the Virpil Alpha Prime (Right-hand version). It seems to offer a great feel and works well across a wide variety of aircraft types. However, while the mounting holes align with the AB9 base, I’m concerned about compatibility—specifically, whether the system will actually recognize the Alpha Prime once it’s attached to the AB9 base.
I’ve heard conflicting opinions: some say it works fine, while others suggest that even if it can be physically mounted, the system might not detect it properly. They argue that using a native MOZA grip with the AB9 base would be a more seamless and reliable solution.
(Although I saw on the official MOZA China website that the AB9 is compatible with Virpil joysticks...)
Is this the case? Has any fellow flight sim enthusiast tried this specific combination? I’d appreciate any insights you could share.
Thanks!

So today I finished some more legs. I started from Albuquerque (because I like that airport), and these are my legs so far: KABQ--->KHOB--->KAUS--->KBPT--->KMSY--->KBFM--->KTLH. FYI my landing in Austin is not pictured, I forgot to take a picture before I closed the sim so I wouldn't have a crash later, and Beaumont I took a photo, but it didn't take till mid flight, I had forgotten again.
Anyways I'll continue Saturday.
Also, today there was a power outage between when I woke up and sunset, and I only had time for 2 legs.
