After university I plan to begin flight school. I started playing this game about 4 months ago and honestly apart from some bugs here and there it’s been fantastic. I’ve been removing every assist available in the game to really get into the immersion. It truly improves the game and I advise everyone to do so. BUT the most important thing I started doing that has massively improved the immersion of this game for me is getting into doing the checklists myself. I mean cold and dark to start to take off to cruise to descent and all. This part of the game just hit me with one of the biggest lessons in aviation. FOLLOW THE CHECKLIST.
So I fell in love with flying the 737 max, I have all the other default airliners in the game and honestly I love the Boeing 737 max. It flies like a beauty and feels like I have more control.

So here the story begins. I had a flight from Miami to Manchester and I was doing my checklist. This was the first ever time I didn’t just use the shortcut button to get the plane started (737). I see this part of the preliminary preflight that says “set cruise altitude” me being naive I think they’re saying cruise altitude on the altitude selector so I ignore it and tick it. Everything goes smooth for the rest of the checklist and the flight begins.

About 15 mins into the flight I get a blaring warning. I’m panicking, I feel like I must’ve missed something in the checklist. Then I see it “CABIN ALTITUDE”, this is where all my knowledge of air crash investigation comes in. Remember when I said I ignored the set cruise and landing altitude in the checklist it hits me. I’ve certainly done something wrong. I immediately request from ATC a 10,000ft drop of flight altitude. We descend all the way down to 10,000 ft as fast as possible. At this point I’ve figured out how to fix the problem (picture in post), I change it but the alarm is still going. I have to then stay at 10,000 ft for a few minutes then I ascend again back to 35000 ft where the flight was set to be and the flight finishes with no issues.

Why am I telling this story you ask ?
Remember Helios flight 522, the ghost plane. That’s what happened to me. I hadn’t set the pressurization model selector to auto and I hadn’t set my cruise altitude. The sheer panic in me as I tried to figure out the problem. Going through the checklist seeing if I missed something was kind of surreal and a bit frightening. And this was just a simulator but imagine in real life. I felt like I kept my composure which allowed me to think back and remember what I missed that’s what basically saved my flight. I don’t know if game characters get affected by hypoxia but the I’ve seen my pilot pass out from a lot of g force of small planes so I thought after, “if I had continued that flight would everyone in the plane have died and would I have gotten a mission fail or a very bad reputation drop.
In conclusion all I’m saying is this. Fully immerse yourself in this beautiful game all we aviation nerds have been praying for. The whole situation made me feel like a pilot and has transcended me into another realm I never believed this game could reach. And remember FOLLOW THE CHECKLIST Good day.

Hey I’m Vasco and I’m a 14 yo boy from Porto, Portugal. I am now creating something to all poor flight simmers (just like me) or just for people who don’t wanna spend money. I’m creating an AI atc app for msfs 2024 (with the help of an AI agent, sorry for that) just like sayintentions but I’m gonna make it totally free and open source, so if u have suggestions just comment on here)

This is now the second mission I’ve attempted today in career mode where the I set up a whole flight plan in the efb, but nothing on the tablet screen’s map actually changes (no magenta line at all) and then also when I get into the aircraft there is no flight plan. Also, the map seems to think my aircraft is over/in the ocean off the coast of Nigeria when I’m trying to take off from an airstrip in Montana. I’m relatively new to flight sim, but I’ve done probably thirty or forty flights this way and it’d never been a problem before. Any thoughts?

Today I noticed on the PS5 that the price of the Saab 340 that I bought on 22/08/2026 was 9.2 Million and now it costs 35 million? Repair from Ai where do able, but now I have a repair cost of 14 million? While AI was only making 500k for 1,5 hours or so. Nou I am stuck with a unrepairable plain which cannot make a profit.

I use the Knobster from SimInnovations in VR (using KnobFS version 2.0.0). I just installed MSFS Sim Update 7 and afterwards, my Knobster stopped working. The UI still shows up in MSFS, but it operates very sluggishly and is effectively broken. I tried uninstalling and re-running the installer. The installer appears to have worked but the behavior is unchanged. I've contacted the developer but haven't heard from them yet. But I'm curious as to whether anyone else has encountered this.

Some landings are the easiest, I found a nice challenge for myself and finally succeeded.

I got the PMDG 777-300ER(iirc) but it has fuel issue where if I try to add fuel it just goes down to the fuel it loaded in at.

Is there any fix to the issue?

I'm struggling to get into one of the new online races. There are few lobbies and some never start the race. Why is it that every 3rd person shooter has better online game modes than FS2024?

Hi, PS5 user here. App does not longer start. Things i tried: re-sync clock. Restartet the app multiple times. Restartet PS5. Resync licences. Check for updates. Still, after start, its stuck at "register..", mostly between 6% and 12%. Waited over 30min, no Progress. Router shows no almost no Traffic, so its not some slow Download. Any idea what else might help?

After about 100 hours trying to learn the 737 auto land systems and after about 60 manual landings I finally got it and know what to do now this wasn't perfect but much smoother than my manual landings ps5

I don’t necessarily have a specific preference at the moment. But I may be interested in also flying some IFR as well with that plane.

Hope you all are doing well! so I just got a new gaming PC which I will use alongside my PS5. And MSFS24 was certainly on the list of the games I'd prefer to play on the PC instead. And certainly it turned out to be a giant leap forward as expected in my gameplay experience

One interesting thing I found was that the Ini and PMDG products were significantly cheaper on the In-game marketplace Vs the developer store; would that really be an issue if I buy the same stuff from the In-game marketplace instead? what are the pros and cons if any of you have done so?

Also, I read that ini manager allows us to transfer marketplace purchases to ini manager, is the process smooth or there are some caveats to it? Though I did not see the A388 being in the list of available options to transfer, and still thinking about why
