Venting Idk what to do

4 years ago I had thoughts of suicide and made a plan. I got out of that headspace, but recently got kicked out of boot camp for medical reasons and now I just feel like everything is coming back. I have an amazing gf, and that’s the only reason I’m still here, but I still get thoughts of it now. I just don’t know what to do or why I’m feeling this way. Nobody has to respond to this, but I just don’t even want to tell my girlfriend about it. She’s the only person I can talk to like that who would listen, but I don’t want to worry her fr. Shit sucks but at least I can write this down and get it off of my mind. Hope everyone is doing well though

Other Dreaming very odd things (relationship anxieties) itchy need NSFW

in my dream there were different weird looking murderers or something and i wanted to have sex with one of them but they were all offering. It was somewhat of a challenge i had to complete like a series to get sex from someone.

So one of these thing started being creepy and whispering into my ear as he was trying to caress me tho i went away to this other thing which was like a tablet i pressed and i would get a certain person from it, i pressed it and it started to touch my nipples and suck on them it was very overwhelming but it then started to penetrate me from underneath which was enjoyable and then i pressed the tablet again to change what i wanted to do with them. It stood up and faced another way to which i bent over and i went walked around and bent over i stuck him inside me and he just started penetrating me very fast from behind then it filled me up wirh lots of semen it was so intense

Ive had other weird sexual dreams before some i just cannot speak of here because they are completely ... wrong and weird.(i dont watch 🌽 at all because i am completely againts it)

My mind is mad though without it which is fine as i feel more things. I also think i must have some mental health issue due to my childhood and well personality.

Ive been thinking of someone i love for a while now and i really am obsessed with him i want him so much and i really want to be with him its causing me anxieties because of my desperation. Its not the sams as lust i dont experience that its more.

Venting i was clinically diagnosed

i go into trouble back in late july… got the cops called on me and now i’m on probation (since august) and now i am in court ordered intensive outpatient treatment.

it’s been two weeks since i’ve started my treatment class… and it’s going good. i’ve been sober since sept 2nd. and it’s hard, every day all i think about is drinking but now that i’m in treatment, i’ve been going to meetings and groups.

and through my probation and alcohol & drug evaluation, i was recommended to go through a mental health evaluation.

i was clinically diagnosed with depression and anxiety and put on meds… i tried to tell my mom this, just to see what she would think and if she’d be there for me, but she just brushed over it the past two times i brought it up.

so i think i might just go it alone, like i have through treatment.

Need Support Mortality

Hey everyone, I hope that life is treating you all well this fall. I got back from the dentist 2 days ago after getting a root canal on my left molar and I think it might of done something to my psyche. I'm scared, I'm scared of getting older and having my body fail me neurologically and physically and the thought of not having fully optimal strength over it horrifies me. The whole time I was there I couldn't help but think that I'm not invincible and that I can be broken down and wither away, it got so bad that I thought I was going to start crying about it. I didnt say anything to the dental employees because it'd just make things a little too personal but... damn man. I'm only 23 and im fearing for my life and how painful the road ahead is. Can anyone give me their thoughts on this?

Need Support My friend is trying to plan a suicide. Can anybody help me.

I tried giving them reasons to stay but they won't listen. They've asked for a list of people who'd care and I've provided one but they just said we'd get over it and they don't believe me when I said we wouldn't. Does anybody have any advice? They said their planning it for sometime next year. Any advice is helpful advice.

Question Is the best way to deal with suicidal ideation just ignoring it?

I’ve been having suicidal ideation recently but I don’t have any desire to act on it. I’ve already talked to my psychiatrist and upped my dose but how else do I stop my suicidal ideation from getting worse? Do I just ignore it? In the past I would entertain my thoughts and think of a plan and that kind of stuff but obviously that’s not helpful.

Venting The universe is actively dragging me in the dirt and pelting rocks at my face

Hello, im a 16 year old girl, not very old as you can tell. Despite not being that old, ive gone through more hardships than my 46 year old father... I have major depressive disorder and obsessive compulsive disorder, I also have high anxiety and social anxiety. Even worse, I have emetophobia (the fear of throwing up), agoraphobia (the fear of situations/places in which you cannot easily escape), and pharmacophobia (the fear of medication). Along side those things, i also have one of the WORST online schools imaginable, they quite literally messed up my entire schedule so I was doing far less than I was supposed to and now I have to go from 14% done to 40% in 2 days. Ever since January, I have developed a irrational fear of eating which is linked to my emetophobia, because of this, I lost a LOT of weight. I also was eating on a strict schedule of eating 3 times a day and it couldnt be full meals, and i had to eat before 4pm. This was because of my ocd. Just to let you know, I was already barely at the weight I was supposed to be for my age and height. Im slowing getting back to where im supposed to be but it feels sooo impossible. Especially when I also struggle to leave the house. And regarding my social anxiety, I have almost no friends, like at all.. im trying to make a few connections but its hard. Anyways, if anyone has tips on how to make this easier for myself, PLEASE tell me. I absolutely need it. ^^

Other I can't find a word to explain this

Life is tuff and truthfully there is so much things that make me wanna give up. I wish I could say that things will get better as always but I'm tired...

I wish that if someone feels as me, they can find at least comfort in knowing that they ain't alone. I wanna help people but who am I kidding? How am I gonna help people if I need that help.

People normally see me as someone who has everything fine or solved. My life is "easy". I got good grades, I have friends, my parents are the best and I'm greatful for everything that I have that so many people don't. But I can't. I'm trully the worse. I hate how I feel, how I look, who I am and what I do. Everyday feels useless 'cuz nothing changes, time flies and I stand here with no clue. I'm hungry, hungry of desire and life. I find easier the path to my own helk than just doing as everyone does. So I keep ruining everything, and now I'm here, searching for a goddamn answer to my life. I always hear people live misery while I'm here with the easy part, yet I complain more. All I hear is perfection, and a soft voice repeating the same advises that never work. I'm getting adicted to letting things pass by. For now it's ok. Life is hard as shit. I'll try looking to the stars, and find comfort in what I call "complexity".

Somebody that dreams like a child

Goodbye for now, I'll come back probably

Venting In college and I don't know what to do. I am wanting to vent a little bit to maybe get input from someone else. male, 19

I don't know what it is but I can tell you what I have been thinking about. I am sad almost all the time. I am sad because of how my life has turned out and what has happened to me. I am not a trustworthy evaluator of myself, and the appropriate way to feel. I can simply state things that have happened and that have bothered and changed me, and ask what I do.

since 4th grade to elementary and middle school, I was in a household where I would be yelled at, for 1-3 hours at a time. They would let me stay up late, and force me up when I wanted to sleep. They would let me get high on weed. my stepfather, and my mother, would yell and yell at each other. I would hear them from the second floor. I remember breaking down and crying at school because of it.
There was no food. We had WIC, and when that was used up halfway through the month I would only eat at school. No food, one meal a day on the weekends. I remember taking packets of ketchup and mayonnaise and eating that.

I had undiagnosed high functioning autism and inattentive ADHD. I had no friends. I was not a subject of intense bullying but I was generally disliked. I had never been to a sleepover. I had never stayed at a friends house. I remember in the 4th grade that I had felt a sadness that was different, and prolonged. I had felt then and still feel something is wrong with me.

in middle school, at 14 in 8th grade, I had been onl the internet without restriction. and met someone. I saw pictures of him and liked him. He was a 30 year old english teacher in missouri. We spoke and formed a relationship. I loved it because he was always nice to me. He wasn't unpredictable. He listened to me. My stepfather could be normal one day, and then infuriated the next. I remember when i complained to my mom to get us food, and we got ramen, as I was eating he slammed my face into the bowl, asking "are you happy"? Near the end, I remember my mom coming up to my room, with a bruised eye, saying she was afraid he would leave. When I was there, when he put his hands on her, after she had asked me, "why didn't you do anything", and I couldn't forgive myself. I remember when being yelled at in the car, that same, other feeling of sadness was there but more intense, and I remember gazing out to traffic, seeing the semi-trucks and contemplating dashing out of the car to run in front of one.

We eventually lost the house because they had no jobs and would extend the mortgage. I moved in with my father, though due to inadequate space had to sleep in the laundry room for my entire high school period. I hadn't known anyone. I had still known the english teacher who I was in a relationship with, we had even made plans to meet and marry when I was of legal age.

I had grown better at socializing. But it felt like I was pretending, and that there was still an apparent wrongness that was a fundamental part of me. I was not disliked, nor liked extensively. I had never hung out with anyone outside of highschool. Something was wrong with me, and I knew everyone else knew that. Eventually, at 17, I had broken up with the man.

I went to vocational school, became a CNA. I worked over the summer in a nursing home. It was an unpleasant environment but I met this girl who asked for my number. We spoke and hung out, and started dating. After a while, she spoke of joining the army, and, while the relationship was still new, I told her I don't think we should date, because she would leave for months and months soon, and she would be gone longer than I had known her. She said she wouldn't go to the army, and I said no, I don't want you changing your career for some guy you just started dating, and we left from there.

at 18, Senior year, with college upcoming, the feeling of wrongness grew overwhelming. I thought I had it under control but thoughts of killing myself kept reappearing. I started thinking in short scenarios, as it felt therapeutic, but then transitioned into more elaborate fantasies. How I would realistically do it. I looked around my house. I found tarp, ducktape, and I started looking for a rifle online. I wanted to go to a nearby hotel and do it in the bathtub.

I was afraid, because I didn't want to die, but I felt like I was in pain, and I was unwanted. I remember crying thinking about how I was conceived by accident. I would make my father angry, and he would ask constantly "when will you move out", and "I will haul you back to you mother where she's homeless", and I had known at that point that I had no home.

I told my councilor because I didn't know what to make of it. They called down people to talk to me, and they said "let's take you to a center where you can speak to someone and get help". They said, I would have to spend the night there likely. I agreed. They took my to a crisis center. I was placed in front of a monitor, and a doctor was there. She asked me questions from a multiple choice questionnare she was reading off. I answered. She plugged it into the computer and it spat the diagnosis out. Diagnosed me with moderate major depression.

When I was placed in the crisis center, We had no access to our phones and such. There was a TV and crayons. My room was empty apart from a foam bed. Scribblings on the wall. I was scared.
It had turned out to not be for depressed people, but people in general who are a harm to others and themselves. Schizophrenics, homeless, drug users.

I was prescribed medications which would make me feel really high and dizzy before bed. There were three meals a day, and a cart of expired food and pastries from walmart. The day after, I asked when I could leave. they had told me I wouldnt leave until 2 weeks. I begged them to change it and that I wanted to leave now, but they did not allow me. I would spend the day not doing much beyond talking to some people, and watching TV. There was nothing else to do.

The second night, I was changed rooms. My new roommate who was around my age frightened me a bit. When I was sleeping, I woke up, heard something, and looked over to see him masturbating in his bed. I was frozen for a while and frightened. I got up quickly and left. I asked to be moved and was.

He would be strange, and others felt he was as well. I remember him touching my butt and acting like it was an accident. I was scared and uncomfortable but didn't say anything. At that point, about 8 days, I was asking every day to be let out. I didn't know it would be like this, I said. I was told I would be spoken to and I would get help. Nobody spoke to me. There was meant to be a group councilling session but the person meant to run it left for a football game out of state.

I just wanted to leave. I asked to write a letter to the doctor. I wrote to him begging him, begging and begging. Please let me leave. Please dismiss me i want to go home. I had seen violent interactions and people losing their minds and being sedated. I was scared. At one point, an old demented woman followed me, tried following me to my room and kept saying I was the devil. I just wanted to leave. The day after, the doctor said he would dismiss me tomorrow, ahead of schedule.

After I was gone, I had gone back to classes. I felt horrible. At one point, in my vocational school, I was pulled out and they checked if I was on drugs because they said that I was staring off into space with my eyes dilated. I never was on drugs. a few days later, my councilor pulled me out, and showed me to girl I had dated briefly, asked if I had known her. I said yes. She told me she died. She said she could not tell me any details, but I remember her saying: *'*Nothing that happened was your fault'. indirectly telling me it was suicide. She had committed suicide a month after I left her. I abandoned her, I didn't know she would've. I wouldn't have done it.

They later pulled me out, and my grades went from As to Cs. They had told me "We don't think you are interacting enough with your peers, and that you aren't really appreciative of being at (the vocational school)". I was asked to leave. I did. I miss my friends.

This summer, I had gotten my autism and ADHD diagnosed, to no significant surprise.

Writing this now, I am in college. I live alone in a dorm. I still feel the same way, though overall less intensely.

I hadn't been doing the studying I am meant to do. I told my family I wanted to be a doctor, and I do. But I had felt empty. I neglected my studies. First chemistry exam, I had gotten a 47 %. I had felt afterwards, I was out of options. I remember a hazy, dreamlike feeling I had when I walked back to my dorm. It was like the physiological part of me felt I was about to die. I did feel like I was about to die. When I got back, I fastened my belt to my clothesline in my closet, and slipped my neck through it. For 20 minutes, in the closet, in the dark, I tried to get the courage to let myself slip. I let it tighten a little. I was scared of dying. I took my head out of it afterwards and sat down in the closet. After a while, I got up and went to work. I don't think it was a serious attempt, but more of a way of saying to myself "fine, you want to die so bad? Do it then, you wont" and I didn't. I do want to live.

I have all Bs and one C, and I feel like i am failing at life, and there is nothing I can do to fix my grades. I have been feeling happier as of recent, but today I felt a slight decline. I am disappointed in myself. I feel like my floormates think I am strange, though I don't think that is objectively true. I feel like an 11 year old sometimes. Sometimes I am doing something and stop, and look around and cry a little. And I feel like my thoughts are regressed. Like I have poor emotional maturity when I get stressed. I want to sometimes turn my brain off. I hate that I am old now. That I'm a 6 ft man with facial hair. I sometimes fantasize about being little again, doing things right. I was precious when I was a child but now I am a grown man. I am not afforded the same sentiments I had when I was younger. I want to be little and get complimented for a good drawing, or writing a good story, or being kind. I cry from shame thinking about it, but I miss the teacher. We were together 3 years and sometimes I wish I could go back for a while, that I was 14 and I was desired. I have only grown uglier as I aged. I want to be valued for being young again.

An important note: I had filed with the police 3 years ago regarding the relationship I had with the teacher, and had sufficient evidence to go about charges. He no longer has access to minors.

What do I do? I wrote this because I want someone to read it and to know it has all happened, plain and simple. I want someone to know about this and talk to me about it. It is unashamed attention seeking but attention is what I want. I want it because it all has felt like this pressure building in my head that I need to release to others. That is all.

Need Support Nothing ever changes TW all of the above

I'm new here, sorry if I'm doing anything wrong.

Hi, I'm a 16-year-old Brazilian, and I just wanted to vent and get some advice.

I've felt terrible for as long as I can remember. I have very few memories of my past, and none feel real, like my entire life was just a stupid liminal dream. I only remember flashes, and because of them I think I was sexually abused as a child, and I've never told anyone. After a long time in therapy, I started remembering things about my childhood, especially how terrible my mother was, but I don't want to get too deep into that.

Honestly, I can't believe people don't feel this way. I feel like we're all born empty, spending our lives searching for something to give meaning to our meaningless existence. I've tried filling that emptiness with the worst things possible.

I've always felt lonely, so I thought a romantic relationship would fulfill me. Instead, it was just dependency between a girl with BPD and two promiscuous teenagers indulging in carnal pleasures. Of course we connected, but through our twisted, depressive views of the world. We saw everything through the exact same lens, and I mistook our similarity for something meaningful when maybe we were just sick in the same ways.

(Fun fact: we both had the same catchphrase as children: "fuckass life.")

But even after getting what I thought I wanted, I still felt the same. I became so disconnected that I'd drink a bottle of vodka every three days and cut myself daily. I was marching toward death and genuinely thought it was a good thing. After multiple suicide attempts, my parents found out when I ended up in the hospital from drinking too much, and I was eventually psychiatrically hospitalized.

Those months were hell. The place was so poorly run that I could've killed myself almost anytime, and I even managed to cut myself there. But I chose life. I decided to do everything I could to get my life back, for the people I loved. I lived for the hangouts with friends I'd learned to appreciate so much, and I told them how much they meant to me. I also lived for my fucked-up girlfriend, worrying constantly that she'd kill herself because I'd been hospitalized, until I finally understood that her life wasn't my responsibility.

I got better. I matured and learned to value life because I'd chosen it. After being released, I broke up with my girlfriend but stayed on good terms with her. I can see the good in her, but she's extremely unreliable, and the relationship wasn't healthy for me.

My friends admire me for surviving everything, and I talk openly with them. But despite everything I've learned, that emptiness is still there. I try to convince myself that life has other feelings worth experiencing, but the misery is rooted so deeply that I can't ignore it. The only reason I haven't started cutting again is that I can't afford more scars.

I'm just so tired. I've always seen death as a deserved, eternal rest, and part of me still feels like everything is pointless.

There are things I genuinely love, like art, music, cinema, and my friends. They're some of the few things that make me want to stay. I just don't understand why, after everything I've survived, I still feel this way.

I don't want to tell my friends I'm still struggling because I don't want them to worry, so I'm writing here instead.

Are the lyrics true?

Always old I'll always feel this?

Discussion How do I help my brother?

My brother has had mostly anxiety and some depression since he was born, he’s 22 now has been on some different antidepressants in the past but is now completely off any meds. His anxiety rules his life he lives alone (close to us luckily so we can visit with him) and is just like so black and white with his emotions and his opinions, will just completely talk over anyone is so stubborn loves to argue but it’s all rooted in his anxiety. My parents are genuinely so concerned about him it feels like he is getting rapidly worse. I don’t want to look back and wish I did something but idk wtf to do. We address this to him and suggest he go to the doctor to consider meds or anything and he just completely ignores the topic won’t talk abt it. He’s becoming more and more irresponsible with my parents money and I’m just so worried how do I help him?

Question Am i selfish?

I'm a teenager who's really sick of it all. I'm done with having to be stressed and have my friends go on and off and constantly feel like I'm never enough. But i also feel selfish because I don't wanna be a burden. Im doing nothing, I'm wasting everyone's time. I have friends, i have family. Relatively. I have an ok life. But i feel sick when i eat, sick when i work out. I feel like shit. I feel tedious getting out of bed, eating, brushing my teeth and showering. I feel disgusting. I really want it over. I don't wanna live like this but no matter how much i try I can't turn myself either. I wanna kill myself which is incredibly selfish because i have a perfectly ok life?... Right? I have a brother. A dad and mom even though they get extremely mad and scold me, atleast they're here? I don't have it as Bad as others i know but i also can't keep living because i have too. Im not afraid of death, im more afraid of disappointing everyone. I also self harm, because I can't seem to feel alive in any other way.

Venting My heart constantly feels heavy and constricted and i don’t know why.

I don’t know why but i never talked to most people in my life, and the people that i did know i never showed my actual personality and beliefs too.

For context im a closeted gay person in Saudi Arabia, so i do have to tip-toe around my identity to make sure i wont get into too much trouble socially.

Its always been tiring to talk to people, always hated whenever someone came around and spoke to me because they think that I’m like them when thats not the case, i don’t follow their religion and their beliefs are completely different than mine and they don’t like the media or shows that i like, but i pretend to be like them so i don’t have to be completely alone in school.

I always felt like that i could just pass this through, that it’s nothing but a phase but it genuinely is starting to hurt physically and i don’t know what to do, i remember being in middle school and just thinking about committing suicide and wondering if it’s something that could just make me a little happier, knowing that there will be a day where it will be all about me and how everyone likes me and actually cares about me and doesn’t focus on my identity or my sexuality even if its just for a fleeting moment.

Now Im in university and I always feel so lonely and so desperate to talk to anyone but when i do get the chance i always just try to distance myself immediately and give any excuse to not talk or hang out with said person, i don’t know if its because of my identity or something else but i do know that it just hurts like hell.

Even online i don’t talk to alot of people, and whenever i do join a community or chat online anywhere i feel like nothing but an armchair (if that makes sense)

Then i try talking to my family and that in itself is something that i really hate doing, because i remember foolishly coming out to my parents because i thought if society didn’t accept me then surely family will, and whenever i replay the words that they told me i always wonder if they actually do love me or just had me because their parents wanted them to do so.

Im sick of everything, im sick of people and im sick of the society that i live in.

Being born literally anywhere else would have been way better, but its like some cruel joke that im stuck here out of any place in the world.

And whenever i do talk about my problems i feel like im just complaining or being dramatic even though i know that whatever im feeling is real, but my brain keeps telling me that i deserve it, i hope that one day i can turn straight so i could just be normal and just follow a religion that everyone else seems to believe in and just die with kids to continue whatever legacy i have left.

I don’t know what to say and how to really express my feelings but i hope one day that i can, im just used to being a shut-in so excuse me if this post does seem a little all over the place or weird but i just wanted someone to read this or maybe relate to my situation, first time that i ever really did post something like this on any forum.

I still have some hope that it does get better, i wish that ill be right but only time will tell.
