Misc. Remote work in medical physics
Hi
Just trying to get a sense of how much work from home opportunity exists in the field in the post-pandemic world. I don’t think it’s much of a secret or a contentious statement that a lot of our work doesn’t require physical presence in the clinic, and in many ways I feel this can and should become a way for clinics to compete for talent.
How much off site work does your clinic allow? What is the size of the physics team? Have you kept any remote work post-COVID? Has doing so (or not doing so) required your clinic to revise (or choose not to) any policies about what procedures are and aren’t personally overseen by a physicist? Are you finding that attitudes about this vary generationally? Any other thoughts on the matter?
