Video Tutorial VIRAL PRODUCT NOT ALWAYS THE RIGHT ONE FOR YOU

• Upvotes

Before buying another viral product, ask three questions: Is the undertone right? Is the color too saturated or too muted? Is the depth right for the effect I want?

You don’t need every trending product. You need to understand what the color is doing on YOUR face, and how to adjust it.

this method seems more difficult just because you’re not used to but traditional I’m telling you is not easier. It’s just seems like that because you get used to see it over and over again…

@happy.eyelids eyeshadow bases/ makeup paints exist for a good reason, because they can create the whole custom system in your makeup kit without buying more and more and finally having ultra accurate shades you want/need.

I get empty palette from Amazon or SHEIN and mix what I need. Add ao2lab aqua sealer for that extra magic touch for the formula and with my small custom brushes precisely working with the features.

Selfie/Makeup Picture How does my first attempt look?

I did a half and half with my products, that's why the sides look different. I need to shave next time, at least the obvious areas like my eyebrows and mustache.

Picture 2 is saie tinted moisturizer, elf liquid bronzer, urban decay liquid blush, saie liquid concealer (I probably shouldn't have added it, it creased badly and just wasn't necessary, but it's not visible), mac pH lipstick, and some mascara and liquid eyeshadow that isn't visible.

Picture 3 is rare beauty foundation, elf liquid bronzer, saie liquid blush, saie liquid concealer (I probably should have it, but it creased badly, it's not visible), mac pH lipstick, some mascara and liquid eyeshadow that isn't visible, and elf setting powder.

Picture 4 is my boyfriend, also half and half, but his lips have lipliner and lipstick.

I like the natural, no makeup, makeup look. I only really want to learn makeup to be able to wear it on occassions that "require" it, like nice dates or weddings.

I'm stumped on what would be considered natural eyeshadow though. Any recommendations?

I'm not really sure what other help I should ask for, so any tips are welcome!

Question Concealer / color correction help needed - also, undertone?

I’ve got my wedding on Halloween and I realized I don’t actually own concealer in my shade range anymore (my tube is from when I went outside more). I’ve been sick twice recently which isn’t helping. Based on staring at my face I see that there’s

- discoloration under my eyes
- my skin always looks a little red
- whatever is going on under my mouth
- i have no freaking idea what my undertone is lol

I know some people use different color products underneath their foundation to balance this stuff out instead of a skin color concealer but I don’t really know how to fix some of this. I’ve been using the “wet and wild glass correct primer base” which is allegedly green tinted enough to balance the redness but idk if its working? I use the “forever dior” in the color “2N” as my foundation (no idea if its the right undertone).

Attaching a pic with a full face under cloudy natural light and another under office lighting so you all can see how my foundation looks usually. Feel free to draw on my no makeup pic if you think it’ll help convey your explanation better. Product recommendations would be appreciated.

Question Questions about doing makeup on my mom (57F)

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello, I am going to be doing my mom’s makeup pretty soon and I want her to feel beautiful. She likes bold colors like blue and green or red, and I was thinking of doing a blue sparkly eyeshadow look with some winged eyeliner and very subtle cool toned pink blush and burgundy lipstick. Would the products in the picture be adequate?
She has pale cool toned skin with olive undertones and hooded eyes that are grayish-blue. I mean this in a neutral, matter-of-fact way, but she has wrinkles around her eyes. Should I skip the eyeliner and just do a blue smoky eye to cover the wrinkles? Should I be using all silicone based face products instead of water based ones or does that matter? I also read that I shouldn’t use too much setting powder on older skin, but then how do I set it properly because I feel like setting spray isn’t enough usually? Are there any other tips anyone would be willing to share for doing makeup on someone who is 57?
Thank you for any advice.

Product list (from left to right, top row first):
ELF stay all night micro-fine setting mist
ELF hydrating face primer
ELF soft glam brightening corrector in the shade “light pink”
ELF camo cc cream in the shade “fair 135 c”
Essence baby got bronze in the shade “moon dust”
ELF hydrating camo concealer form the shade “fair rose”
ELF halo glow setting powder in the shade “fair/light”
Colourpop eyeshadow palette “blue moon”
Wet N Wild breakup proof skinny waterproof eyeliner pen in the shade “ultra black”
Essence lash princess false lash effect mascara (waterproof, no shade name but it’s black)
Wet N Wild chameleon chrome highlighter in the shade “Venus swing”
Colourpop hydropop glossy lip stain in the shade “90’s babe”

Question Male makeup advice?

Hi, I’m a trans man who refused to learn how to do makeup before and after coming out at 14, and thus, didn’t go through the trial and error of finding out how to do makeup at all.

However, I am a gay man, and I do think eyeliner and eyeshadow can look cool, and I know contouring can be used to make yourself look more masculine. But my issue is that I don’t know how to do them, what works for my face shape, eye colour, outfit, etc. Or what techniques to use to make sure it doesn’t do that like balling or cake-like texture that foundation often does.

Do you have any advice?

Hi! Im so happy to join your community. ❤️

1st - me/natural light/ absolutely no makeup
2nd, 3rd - No tint or makeup only tart concealer on pimples and jones road combo undecese concealers, tart black tubing mascara, tiny bit of llightest shade benefit brow, jones road palette - lips and cheeks the Chic shade, "eyeshadow" and bit on forehead, chin, temples and transition to blush the Dusty rose shade, browbone the highlight shade. I used lip tint wondertint Whimsical and lip pencil in kinda dusty mauve shade i think. Im not sure i wore eye pencil. Im kinda scare of it, i only use brown one and on the tightline. I always smudges becase i smile openly and my eyes squeeze almost shut during it. I used setting spray (the red 3 seconds one, sorry forgot name), maybe a tiny bit powder? but mostly not because i hate the feeling on my dehydrated skin.

Im close to 34, no botox or any or any other in office treatment, coloring soft autumn, alabaster neutral undertone skin (always the lightest shade). I have thin, dehydrated and dry skin prone to foliculitis and eczema. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I refuse to use tanning products and avoid sun in general. (it hurts my eyes and i only ever gives me freckles and I burn bright red. My whole body is just saying no to hot weather and sharp sun).

Iove to look out together but not stuffy and i don't feel comfortable aggressively sexy. Idealy sensual, bit ethereal, bit romantic, sophisticated.
Idealy I would love to learn 1. stronger eyes, soft mouth, blush (which i can transition to evening look) 2. strong blush, juicy lips, softer eyes.

Any advice would be appreciated. From layering skincare (and spf!) in the morning, keping my sking with makeup healthy (tips on how to hydrate snd use spf over make up face during the day?) and hydrated without feeling heavy or sweaty, cool makeup brands for my skin type and coloring, eyeshadow placement and color recomendation, blush placement, Anything alse? Am I missing something?

I there is any other artistic potential to make me look beautiful, give give XD

Thank you all and I hope this can help other translucent weak skin barrier people out there, too!

Question 16 with not much of a clue when it comes to makeup

I don't know the right makeup for me, what skincare I should go for- which products, which shades I need to go for.. it's all a huge pile that I feel has been thrown on me, with me having no orientation or knowledge whatsoever.

I live in germany and I am on a budget. I've bought a few products before buttttt I just don't feel too satisfied- maybe it's just the way I've been applying them that's wrong.

I REALLY wanna learn how to do lashes especially, I've tried applying them before and it never worked out.. plus I have a weak eyesight, so I guess my eyes might be more sensitive when it comes to wearing lashes?

I'm also a huge fan of eyeliner, though the corner of my eyes always hurt when I apply it.. and it always smudges as well.

My bronzer? It won't stay intact. My concealer sweats off, my highlighter barely does anything since I'm pretty pale.

Idk how to contour, I haven't worked with foundation..

Gosh, there's so much that my mind feels like it's being overloaded just thinking about it. PLEASE, GIVE ME ALL YOUR TIPPS!!! (It'd be best that if you suggest any products, that they're budget friendly..<3)

Question Dark spots when wearing BB cream?

Thumbnail

I'm in my 30s and trying to wear a little bit of makeup, but whenever I put on even a base coat of BB cream, I have these 2 identical dark sections on my cheeks. I find that BB cream is less heavy on my skin and I don't get very oily with it.

Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing this dark spot? I'm really struggling! Thank you!

Question I want to buy a couple of essentials

I saved my money last year and I bought the rare beauty powder blush. I’ve had it for a year now and it’s lasted me really long. It’s made me decide that I should maybe start to buy more expensive make-up as it will last longer and give me a better result. I’d like to buy a foundation and maybe a concealer but are there any other essentials or products that anyone would recommend? Also is it worth buying a good bronze powder as well or what are the must haves
